Update!
Not much has happened so far for OU since the balance slate's coding finished (expect we still need someone to help code Housekeeping), but we figure that now's as good of a time as any to announce that, tentatively, we will have another day of roomtours on May 1st (a little over two weeks from now). There will be an RU roomtour and as well as the standard OU tour, with Housekeeping's nerf hopefully implemented.
Now for the RU tournament, you may wanna hold off on teambuilding until you read the rest of this post because the RU that you know right now isn't exactly what the roomtour is gonna be. You see, one day, we on the council realized that having over 120 Pokémon in UU is kinda dumb, so we decided to fix that. Plus, a few of RU's best Pokémon have become more and more centralizing and unmanageable, so some bans were in order. Thus, we decided to pull a Gen 5 and we have created a brand new RU Tier! What used to be known as RU will now become NU and it's basically the same meta, just with a handful of the more broken Pokémon banned.
Below is the new RU Tierlist, mostly consisting of the worst Pokemon in UU and the best of the old RU
And with the creation of a new RU, we also now have an NU tier, which is a lot like the old RU, but if you need a refresher, here are some of the notable Pokémon that are down in NU, especially after some of its best Pokémon stayed in RU:
And last but not least, here are all the Pokémon that stayed in UU:
You have 2 days and 3 days to prepare for the RU roomtour, but if you need some help, I've listed some theorymonned RU Sample Teams you can try out below. If I find anything groundbreaking within the next two weeks, I'll be sure to update these:
- Balance
- Mime Time
- Zydog
- Grass Spam
- SubTeleon Bulky Offense
- Rain
- Sticky Web
- Sun
- Screens
- Stall
- Trick Room
That's all for now, stay tuned for more SylveMons news!
