Well you did have your numbers so you capture the Swalot without further difficulty. Well done.
With the last of your attackers finally captured, you tend to your team and continue your path through the swamp. You feel like that this path and the forest might merge again in the distance.
You come to an area of the swamp where the paths through the forest and the swamp itself merge into one large area that is bordered with pools of toxic water. The area is then further perimetered by trees, save the odd path, and seems like it is a dedicated arena. You feel an ambush is imminent. Suddenly one of the pools starts bubbling. It could be a pawn to set you off or it could just be a natural occurrence. What will you do?
Player Options
a) Investigate the bubbling pool.
b) Ignore the bubbling pool.
Manage your team.
You decide that the bubbling in the water is a concern, so you decide to approach it and investigate. As you get near however, a Grimer spawns from the bubbling water and throws a ball of sludge at Ravio, dealing damage to it. The Grimer then runs from you, but not too far away that it is still in your sights. You then turn around and notice a Nidoqueen and a Tentacruel behind you. You can tell from their hostility that you have invaded their territory and that you will need to beat this pair to head further. You also notice rain drops starting to fall on your head. The two await your actions.
Suddenly, the voice of a man similar to the one from Mysterious Cove echoes in your head. "Watch out for the Grimer; it is a background enemy. It is invulnerable to almost all of your attacks and it can attack you. It will do assist the enemy on one action every round and if you take out the guards, it might just leave. I bet you that taunting it will allow you to bring it into the open."

Description: This area is the domain of the area's guardians. The usual surroundings also apply here but the Poison-types have been trained to use their poison more effectively. Whenever the place rains, the toxic air will seep into the rain and boost the power of Poison-type attacks.
Mechanics:
Arena Type: Water's Edge (Produces Bubble Beam).
Rain Dance is in effect at the start of the battle. This is considered to have been triggered by the move: Rain Dance, and as such will last 4 rounds.
Rain also boosts the power of Poison-type attacks by three (3).
All non Water- and Poison-type Pokémon who use an attack that requires an external water source become Poisoned (or badly poisoned if they are already poisoned). All attacks used will have a 30% chance to poison stricken targets except in the case of Soak, which instead turns the target into a Water/Poison-type Pokémon for six (6) actions.
All Poison-type Pokémon can use the Store command without using an action. Store also raises the BAP of Poison-type attacks by two (2) and allows them to corrode Steel-type Pokémon.
Pokémon that are poisoned take extra damage from Poison-type attacks equal to the amount of DMG that Pokémon takes from its Poison. Venom Drench's stage drops are also equal to this counter instead.

Geez, sorry Frosty. I spent a good chunk of time catching up on this TLR and taking some notes for this fight. It may take me a while to referee (I'm going on LoA over this weekend), but know that I'm making progress.
Your team snags some flinches, while the guardians fail to make much progress. Gallade is looking quite weary, but Frosty has the advantage here. Nidoqueen is also looking worse for the wear, but perhaps it has some tricks to pull off next round. Can Frosty blaze past these foes, or will they take a member of his team?

Which path will you take?
