Sounds like the rookies are doing well.
They'd better be, playing against guys who will be playing in Europe in the fall at best and flipping burgers at the end of the league at worst.
As for the Sixers, let's roll this out RMT-threat list style, shall we?
Boston - Defending Champs and loaded with talent, although Brand is a much better low post presence than Garnett who shies away from the underneath game to try and take jump shots. Still, Boston is ahead of us.
Detroit - Perhaps ready to blow things up? Who knows at this point. They have 'Sheed, who can guard Brand down low. Still a force to be reckoned with, although it's a lot closer
Orlando - Howard's a beast, but who else they got? If they're not making their threes, they're done. I think the Sixers can be better than themt his year.
Toronto - Elton Brand will eat Jermaine O'Neal and Chris Bosh for lunch. Bank on it. Better than them.
Cleveland - I believe in the power of King James, but as a team, they rely on Ben Wallace (lol) for rebounds. Brand kills them. We're a better team.
Washington - Could be a conflict of styles here. They play Nellie-Ball the best out of any team in the East. Close call, but come playoff time, no, sorry.
Atlanta - Could be a problem, but once again, no low-post game to deal with Brand.
Chicago, Milwaukee, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Charlotte, Miami - lol
So, the only teams I think are clearly better than us at this point on paper are Boston and possibly Detroit. On the court, everything's different, and predictions can blow up in people's faces. Still, it's not all that unlikely to see us with the home court advantage in the first round or even beyond.
