Starmie @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Natural Cure / Analytic
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Cosmic Power
- Recover
- Recycle

Cosmic power til you take nothing from anything. Knock off is like the most common move and it triggers weakness policy. Recycle to get you more boosts and then scald because it's stupid and broken. Speed is to outspeed max speed mew which may carry taunt. Unfortunately you can't outspeed Aero / Crobat.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Analytic
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder
- Psyshock

Pretty simple set! Setup Rain Dance and sweep with rain-boosted Hydro Pump and Thunder. If Starmie doesn't get the job done, you can make us of the leftover Rain turns to sweep with something like Kabutops or Kingdra instead. Psyshock hits Blissey and Florges harder than anything else, though you could also run Ice Beam for Grass-types. Not much else to say about this set really :P

Starmie @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Ice Beam
- Trick

Instead of utilizing Starmie's ability to spin away hazards, this set instead attempts to maximize that superb 115 Speed stat Starmie was blessed with by making it a revenge killer. The set's strongest asset is the surprise factor: being a scarfer, it easily out speeds things such as Crobat or Aerodactyl which would otherwise force Starmie out with ease. Hydro Pump and Psyshock are the STABs of choice, with Hydro Pump doing the most damage and Psyshock hitting Special walls or Water resists (not to mention 100% accuracy). Ice Beam is Starmie's coverage move, and it is used to damage specific threats (Grass-types, Hydreigon) and is a good move to clean up with. Trick is the last move on the set, and it is used to cripple walls that Starmie lures in by giving them a Scarf, also contributing to the surprise factor. EVs and nature are also standard fare for Starmie, nothing new there.

Reserving reflect type

Edit: This set's a lot better in OU than UU because most of the stuff that checks Starmie (Absol, Ampharos, Hydreigon, Blissey, etc.) doesn't care about it changing types and can still beat themselves. So yeah, I'm not doing this.

Starmie @ Flame Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Def / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: NaN Atk
- Scald
- Recover
- Rapid Spin
- Trick

Bulky Mie with Trick + Flame Orb; to cripple defensive stuff like Alomomola, Blissey, Florges, Sableye stealing their leftovers usually and cripple them with a burn during the entire battle. Natural Cure also helps to Starmie so you dont need even a cleric on your own team in case of getting burned because Flame Orb.

Best late game cleaner ever

No more Hydro Miss

Also great on hazard stacking teams, great on mienshao weak teams (no hjk), and great on EQ spam teams.

Also if you use it smart you can even support your team and never have to worry about missing Focus Blast :]]]]
