Personally i like CBB's set, but I'm sold on the Raiza set. Extremely tailored to the meta and yet not very commonly seen.

Um, what exactly is the purpose of Raiza.'s EV spread? I get max SpA, but what are the 200 Spe EVs for? I guess to speed creep the things that speed creep the things that speed creep Jolly Tyranitar?

I'll vote Doughboy because they're basically the same set, but Doughboy's EV spread makes a lot more sense to me, and he explained his specific benchmarks. I also think max Spe is a bit more important than max SpA for beating stuff like max Spe Adamant Mega Scizor, speed tying other Dragonite, etc.

EDIT: Oh crap, I didn't even see CrashinBoomBang's set, lol. I stole that set when I saw him post it in the analysis thread a little while back and tried it out, and it's pretty good. Voting for CrashinBoomBang instead.

Sorry Doughboy. :(

I vote CrashinBoomBang for his unique and very effective specially defensive tank set. It's an awesome answer to some of the top threats in this metagame and still has considerable power despite heavy EV investment.

Also, in the case of doughboy vs raiza's set, they're essentially the same thing, but I prefer Doughboy's EV spread much more. He presented a pretty solid benchmark (enough special attack to KO mega mawile) and max speed to beat other dragonites and gyarados. the rest are dumped in speed. idk, i just don't really understand the whole concept of Raiza's spread. Overall, MixNite is still solid and really good this meta as well, but i like the spdef tank set better.

Supporting CBB. I find his bulky Dragonite set to be very useful in the metagame, its main boon being a solid Charizard-Y and Landorus switchins that is not Pursuit-weak (unless they carry Dragon Pulse or Rock Slide respectively, but even then you can counter that with a simple "good player alert" remark and click x). In addition, the fact that it still packs an offensive presence, powerful priority to pick off foes, and a way to significantly dent Aegislash sets it apart from other Charizard-Y and Landorus switchins. Furthermore, as the main draw of his set is its ability to take hits, its offensive options can be tailored to fit your team. Moves such as Fire Blast, Hurricane, Iron Tail and Ice Beam are not out of the question to decimate specific threats as needed.

Raiza's set, while seemingly useful, is in practice much easier to maneuver around. With no bulk, no form of recovery and mediocre speed, his Dragonite set won't be switching into anything (not that it is designed to). However, compounding this problem is the fact that steel is no longer the sole answer to dragons, and Clefable completely shuts down this Dragonite set. Even less defensive fairies like Azumarill is a fairly decent answer to it, and obviously a lot of dangerous faster sweepers in OU can easily threaten it out as long as they are outside espeed range. Thus I believe that the reward of keeping rocks off the field and safely getting Dragonite in is hardly worth it, as this Dragonite isn't as potent in doing its job as you make it to be. Hell even Hydreigon might pull this job better if not for its inability to use espeed.

So to sum up, i vote for cbb, hes a fucking friend

I honestly like more CBB's

also moving all the italian community to vote on these kind of thread is p ridiculous and pointless as well...

CrashingBoomBang imo utilizes Dragonite's defensive capabilities really well while being also able to get rid of common threats such as Zard Y, Keldeo, etc. while still maintaining what makes Dragonite so good in this meta.

Raiza.

It's hard to argue against how explicitly tailored it is.
Maybe I just suck at counting, but I'm pretty sure CBB is not so behind where he's not gonna win. Vote for what you actually want to vote for lmao, even if it was extremely one-sided that would mean your vote for Raiza wouldn't matter anyways.

I was commenting on the quality of his set, not the comparison of the amount of votes it received. I'm... not quite sure what you garnered from my original comment.
