The Nonagon Tournament!​

Welcome to the Nonagon Tournament! This is a tournament in which you have to get a group of 9 pokemon together and use your team-building skills to make 3 different teams with which to play. This will be just a normal OU tournament, but you will have to think about which pokemon you will use in each match and whom your opponent will use. This could be a very simple tournament to some, but very complex to others.

• Timed Battle (optional)

Of course, there are the special rules that apply. When preparing for your match, you must pick 9 Pokemon that you want to use on your teams. After you have decided whom to use, you must only use those 9 in a best of 3 with your opponent. The catch is that you cannot use the same team more than once, and you have to use each Pokemon exactly twice! This should ensure that you have many new things to think about when choosing your team of 9.

Note: your pokemon do not have to use the same sets on every team

For the signup process, it will probably be a 128-man tournament if we get enough signups. the signups will be open for 48 hours and the first half will be first come first serve; the second half will be picked at random.

Do we submit the teams to you, and will we know what the opponents team is? Since it really needs to be verified that the opponent has used each twice, and that they are using the same teams they signed up with.

in answer to this question, no, don't send us the teams. it will be up to the players to recognize whether their opponents are playing by the rules. Don't worry, it will be obvious. by the second battle, you will know that they have to use three of the pokemon from their previous team, and by the third battle, you should be able to work out their whole team before the battle begins. if your opponent uses more than nine pokemon in your three battles, or uses a pokemon three times, report it to us.
