The Theater of Daring Exploits
Ah, the Theater of Daring Exploits! Being in here gives one an incredible sense of nostalgia; like the first battles ever conducted (but without burns being broken and such shite as six turn sleep.)

Indeed, this locale is well-known for its amazing entertainment-everyone is always doing dashing exploits of the mightiest roleplaying skill around. Dodging, for example, works entirely on the discretion of the ref while here, and all swashbuckling exploits tend to be easier to pull off (i.e. roleplaying feats). However, because a drawn-out battle is an epic one, all attacks deal 2/3's of their normal damage, except for critical blows, because critical blows are exciting.

Players start on the stage, a rectangle of about 50 feet in width and justs 30 feet from the wall. It is covered in polished faux-wood planks. Players can climb to the balcony, which is 10 feet above the stage's middle, 20 feet in length, and juts 10 feet from the wall. Switching in and out is done by exiting the stage-you have to mention "Exit, stage left/right!" when you want to switch out a Pokemon.

There's all sorts of props for moves available off stage (along with a conspicuously placed oven, washing machine, fridge, fan, and lawnmower,) and the theater is proofed against earthquakes. (Nothing inside the fourth wall hurts outside the fourth wall, except for the battlers' sharpened wits.) In fact, you can even dig up the floor-we've got the budget to make it up!

Timothy, My Ledian (With Cheri Berry), it is your time to take the stage! SPOTLIGHT!

Rawk, my Archeops, waits backstage with my other Cheri Berry, whilst Trouser Snakes is buzing around Backstage with a Rawst Berry.

"Let us be swift.

Go, Frostbite! Take this berry (Pecha). Freeze Toxic gas into Ice Shards to launch at your foe, cool down, then Blizzard!

As for Riolu-stay backstage with an Oran berry. Rotom-take another Pecha berry."

Hmmm, this will be fun, good luck! Toxic Ice being thrown at you won't be pleasent, but let's see how we can do. Begin with a combo of Mach Punch and Silver Wind - We're gonna go for a punch so fast it turns the winds to our favour, plasting the toxic ice back. We're gonna finish up by using the Ice in the blizzard to power up an incoming Ice Punch (Merging the ice onto our fist), whilst holding the Cheri bery in the frozen hand and splat it in Frostbite's eye, hopefully blinding him temporarily.

"Well folks, it’s time we recounted the going on we just witnessed in Act 1 of the production. Of course the most important events surrounded the entrance of the players. To begin with we had Timothy the Ledian swish onto the stage. He came ready and rip roaring to go, with a Cheri Berry in hand. Quickly standing opposite was Frostbite the Abomasnow, who was strangely not accompanied by his usual Hail storm. It seems even his powers of weather control weren't able to penetrate this theatre house. He does come with a Pecha Berry though; whatever use that might be to him."

"Both of the players begin the act with some nifty combinations. In fact both of them dazzle with speed thanks to the maneuvers making up said combos. Timothy, by virtue of his much larger speed, is able get the jump in the motions. He clenches his (soon to be iron) fist and rushes towards Frostbite at Mach speed. But showing great concentration he is also able to flap his wings through the jump and unleash a Silver Wind. The wind isn't designed to deal damage however, and is instead a defensive technique. At the very same time Frostbite is busy infusing his usual shards of ice with a disgusting toxic poison. He then shoots the now purple shards across the stage much to the awe of the audience. Unfortunately just before they reach Tim the shards crash into the Silver Wind, it having formed a shield out front of the still flying Ledian. Just as Frostbite's face turns seeing his well crafted ice poison falling to the wooden stage floor. To make matters even worse the Punch finally clocks him in that face. It should be noted this event all took place in less than a second, and has been slowed down through ExploitVision for the audience's benefit."

"After taking a short break each, the actors turn to more out and out attack towards the end of Act 1. Only this time Timothy's speed is of determent, because he unleashes his Ice Punch before Frostbite can begin to conjure his Blizzard and is therefore unable to put any of the excess ice to use as he intended. There was yet another dastardly trick in his otherwise mediocre attacking though, because after noting that his Cheri Berry may be all but useless in the battle the Ledian held it in the fist he used to punch. As the ice shattered across the chest of the Abomasnow splurts of squished berry made their ways into his eyes. The tactic takes effect immediately too, and Frostbite's Blizzard is way off course."

"For those following at home, a strange aura in the building has been reducing all the damage done throughout the battle. Although with a Ledian on the field this may well be a superfluous act."

First Stanza
Timothy: Mach 1 Silver Wind > (4 + (3-4)*1.5)*1.5*0.67 = 2.5125 = 3 [3 DMG] [9 EN]
Frostbite: Toxic Ice Shards > The wind deflected the Ice Shards! [14 EN]

Second Stanza
Everyone took a small intermission

Third Stanza

Excellent job Ledian, you're doing a brilliant job for me!

Act 2 now, keep it up - Let's begin with a Light Screen. Follow up with a Acrobatics + Reflect Combo - I want you to perform an acrobatics by spinning around Abomasnow at the same time as having the reflect form as a ribbon from your fingers, hopefully making the Reflect into a sort of cage for Abomasnow to have to escape, and still hitting Abomasnow quite hard.

Very briefly:

Ability 1: Snow Warning: (Innate)This Pokemon summons a massive hailstorm upon its entry into battle that does not end, expending 10% of its energy to do so. It can re-summon the effect mid-battle for 9% Energy with a command.
Ice: Ice STAB; immune to freezing and Sheer Cold, no vision loss or damage in Hail or snowstorm conditions, perfectly accurate and 30% Protect breaking Blizzard in Hail. Superior senses and mobility in frozen caves and other frigid arenas.
Blizzard: The Pokemon blows a massive chilling wind at the opponent that can affect the entire field. During Hail, this move never fails to blast about the entire arena, even bursting through Protect and similar defenses. It has a chance to freeze opponents solid. This move targets up to three (3) adjacent opponents in a multi-battle.

Oh well.

"Combine Blizzard and Ice Shard-let a flurry of Ice Shards whip about in a Blizzard! (conventional combo) Let the hail guide you-and then Giga Drain the energy from that Reflect ribbon, weakening it enough for you for break out.

This is fun..."

Its funny how I'm asked to provide interesting and detailed flavour and then said flavour isn't even read.

Three posts above said:

You're inside and hence cannot activate Hail without an Icy Rock.

"The players are at it again folks, lets have a little rundown of exactly what happened. Frostbite started us off doing as he does and combining the speed of Ice Shards with the sheer force of a Blizzard to cover half of the stage in penlting snow. Unforunately it wasn't the half containing Tim. This is of course helped along by the berry remnants in Frostbite's eyes. Tim knew that his good fortune would not contnye like this, and he immediatey waved his hands in swift and specific motions out in front of his body to create a shimmering blue Light Screen. The screen looks both beautiful and quite strong."

"The Ledian now chooses to unleash another combination of his own, and this is a spectacular mix of offence and defence. He leaps up from the stage and swirls in the air with extreme grace. Mid way through the aerial dance an orange ribbon began to make its way out from his right hand. Soon Ledian neared where Frostbite sat, still recovering from his failed combination. Timothy then begins to crash into the Abomasnow from all directions, no longer held back by the weight of an item the power is even higher. The image of the bug alternating between crashing into Frostbite and trapping him with the ever hardening ribbon is truely unique. Once Timothy finally runs out of energy and is forced to retreat the opponent is left severely hurt and also quite trapped."

"Frostbite now earns his chance to act alone, with Timothy still worn out from his epic dance. The Frost Tree Pokemon is quite the crafty one himself, because he is able to turn a Giga Drain on the cage recently formed around him. Instead of syphoning health as usual, Frostbite is able to drain all the energy from the ribbon. This has a two fold effect of making it so that a mere nudge will cause the cage to shatter, while at the same time Frostbite absorbed half the energy Timothy spent on his combination. The end result is Frostbite being virtually free of the cage and the whole endeavor costing him no energy at all!"

First Stanza
Frostbite: Ice Shard Blizzard > MISS! [15 EN]
Timothy: Light Screen > Timothy is protected by a Light Screen! [8 EN]

Second Stanza
Timothy: Acrobatic Ribbon Dance > (11 + 3 + (3-4)*1.5)*1.5*0.67 = 12.5625 = 13 > Frostbite was surrounded by a ribbon cage! [13 DMG] [21 EN]
Frostbite: Took a small intermission

Third Stanza
Timothy: Took a small intermission
Frostbite: Giga Drain > The ribbon cage was weakened! > Frostbite absorbed the cage's energy! [11 - 11 = 0 EN]

"And we turn our attention back to the stage just in time to hear the director yelling at Frostbite to get off set, but the Abomasnow has completely forgotten his cue! Being a well trained actor he cannot possibly leave the stage without knowing which side to do it from, so instead he just ends up standing there useless and very confused. Timothy seizes the opportunity to grab a quick chill, while the director stands backstage with his face in his hands."

"The next portion of the show is marred by Frostbite, the director and the Tortferngatr troupe leader having a little barney behind the curtain. Meanwhile Timothy is sneaking up behind the angry tree, and then soon launches himself mouth first at Frostbite's berry carrying hand. The Bug Bite clamps right down on the arm and hand, and not only does Tim do some reasonable damage (reasonable for this fight at least) he also eats the Pecha Berry! Of course it was completely useless given he isn't poisoned.."

"The final act is more or less teasing from the Ledian. He dances all around Frostbite while the frozen Pokemon is frozen on the spot. After completing a number of very Acrobatic circles around the stage Timothy just crashes into him for more damage. I think Frostbite will be ruing that missed opportunity for the rest of the show."

Well then Timothy, this is actually going rather well, all things considered. Keep it basic now!

Acrobatics ~ Bug Bite ~ Acrobatics

I want you to end with the Acrobatics used the second time landing you on the balcony.

"Well folks, after the shear embarassment that was last round (we're talking Cruise-on-a-couch levels here) it seems that Frostbite is finally ready do something useful. He begins the next act by firing off a pair of lightning fast Ice Shards across the stage and doing his first bit of damage to the bug. In the process he manages to attach a spear of ice to each of his wings, which immediately proves crucial. Timothy once again starts to unleash one of his trademark Acrobatic attacks, but the ice stuck on his wings significantly limits his speed and grace, subsequently reducing the power of the move by quite a bit. A shred tactic from the now seemingly awoken Abomasnow"

"Timothy wants to move on from that low point right away, and does so by launching towards the tree with another Bug Bite. Without having a berry to aim for this bite simply goes right onto Frostbite's nose. Ouch. Abomasnow seizes the opportunity of such little separation between the two however, and rams into his opponent with a Wood Hammer. The move seems a bad choice, because not only does it do laughable damage it also causes Frostbite to hurt himself. What the move did however was knock Timothy down hard to the stage floor."

"Frostbite immediately presses this advantage, and launches more Ice Shards at Tim's wings, this time pinning him down to the stage! Along the while the ice actually managed to do a monochrome of damage to the flying type, certainly a lot more than the zero damage in the prior four acts at least. Timothy once again tried to use his Acrobatics, but the movement was less graceful and more of an ugly struggle. The Ledian did manage to free himself from the ice though, and the players reset for the next act."

First Stanza
Frostbite: Ice Shard > (4 + 3 + (3-2)*1.5)*1.5*0.67 = 8.5425 = 9 > The ice was stuck to Timothy's wings! [9 DMG] [2 EN]

Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Steadfast: (innate) If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This speed boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Ability 2: Inner Focus: (innate) When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Ability 3: Justified: (DW not yet unlocked, innate) This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way by another Pokemon's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.

OK then, let's begin!

I think a Drain Punch is the reward it shall get as it screeches - Aim to get the punch inside it's mouth for an increase in damage! Then I want you to simply use a Dig attack on Lucario. Finally, digging should leave some of the stage floor (Which I believe is made with wood and nails) torn apart, so Pick Up a Wooden Plank with a Nail in it, and force the nail into Lucario's eye, hopefully doing a fair chunk of damage or causing him to flinch in pain and not perform the Blaze Kick. Because RPing is fun ^_^

"Well would you look here folks, as we enter the fifth act of what is sure to be an epically long play it is time for a change of players! Having finally found his queue, Frostbite promptly exits to the left of the stage. Immediately replacing him is Force, and boy doesn't she arrive in spectacular fashion. Bursting out from behind the stage curtain with a flash of light the actor we saw on the playbill as a cute little Riolu emerges as the mighty and powerful Lucario. Wow what a wonderful way to liven up this affair."

"Timothy is still keen to display his own visual flare. He sits back and waits a second until Force opens her mouth, then shoves a Drain Punch right into it! The move does characteristically slow damage, but as is Timothy's modus opperandi he keeps his fist in the poor happless Lucario's mouth for long enough to muffle the outcoming Screech. As a result the effect of the move is significantly lessened, and don't the audience appreciate the effort from Tim. No one in this place really wanted to hear a full voiced Screech"

"Timothy once again waits to take his queue from the other player, and as he sees Force's right leg begin to glow he promptly takes downward and burrows under the stage through a nearby trap-door! Force had no idea what the Ledian was up to and just proceeded to fly through the air, lead by her now fully flame engulfed right leg into what would have been a Blaze Kick. Unfortunately not only is there nothing to hit, as soon as she lands back on the stage Tim explodes from beneath and crashes into the poor confused Steel type for yet more acceptable damage."

"For his final part in this act Tim has yet more improvisation up his sleeve (or lack of sleeve). He sees that his prior maneuvre has torn a great hole in the boards that make up the stage, and is able to pry one of those boards loose enough to grab. He then looks at the far end of the plank to notice a large nail protruding out, and a rusty one at that. With all the force he can muster Tim swings the plank at Force's face and impales her right in the eye! Lucario's hard steel body certainly reduced the damage, but depth perception might be a problem with only one working eye! This is evident right away, because as she warms up for another Blaze Kick her jump is completely off target and all she does is set alight part of the stage curtain when crashing into it."

"Some very impressive displays of force there from Force (who would have thought it?) and once can only think she's going to connect with one of the blows and Tim is not going to enjoy it."

Frostbite exits stage left!
Force enters stage left!
Force evolves into Lucario!

Excellent job Timothy, excellent!

Now then, Chill for your first action. Then grab the curtain and throw it over Force. Finish up with a Dig - But on A3 Chill if it uses Swords Dance A3.
