Okay then, let's start with the Omanyte Spiral Knight, with Shell Armor.

Maxim: Well, this is new, now I'm fighting a newbie to farm counters

Spiral Knight: Eh, it's no big deal, let's try our best to win and if we lose we don't have anything to lose

Maxim: But won't we lose our pride?

SK: Since when has that ever mattered to anyone?

Supersonic~Muddy Water~Surf

Do what your kind has always been born to do, Ford! Stall to the death!

Protect~Toxic~Toxic Spikes

Deep in a random forest, new trainer Rezzy, his bug Pokemon trailing behind, comes across the veteran Maxim training his rock Pokemon for a gym. Like all regular trainers, they instantly decide to have a battles. Rezzy sends out his favorite, Ford the Pineco, sturdy and tough. Maxim responds with a newcomer to his team, Spiral Knight the Omanyte! That shell armor will be hard to crack.

As the battle begins, Ford instantly sets up a Protective barrier, expecting an attack from his foe. Fortunately for the Pineco, he blocked a hax-inducing Confuse Ray from Spiral Knight.

Next, Spiral Knight sprays water all over the forest floor to create a tide of Muddy Water. The attack crashes into Ford, and the pine cone Pokemon retaliates with by tossing globs of Toxic goop at his foe.

Now that water is all over the forest floor, Omanyte gathers it up and sends it out for a Surf attack against Pineco. Ford ignores this and sends out little poisonous pinecone chips, almost like Toxic Spikes to rest at the feet (tentacles?) of Maxim's team. Lileep is not going to like that!

Uh-oh Ford, that's a lot of damage! Keep placing the entry hazards!

Spikes~Earthquake~Toxic Spikes

Spiral Knight decides to switch to physical offense this round, curling into a ball and charging at Ford in a Rollout attack. The super-effective rock attack hurts, but Ford's high defenses soften the blow, and he continues to relentlessly lay down some not-so-venemous Spikes on the field.

Spiral Knight continues to gain momentum and smashes into Ford for some more damage with another Rollout. Ford decides to put out some damage, shaking the entire forest with a mighty Earthquake.

Though the shaking got Omanyte off course, he still hits Ford with another Rollout, and Pineco, getting low on health, lays down another layer of Toxic Spikes, ready to lay down the hurt on Lileep.

Ford, Let's reset that rollout counter, as that damage was adding up quickly, but not before landing some amazing damage! A healthy mixture of offense and defense is how we roll!

Counter~Protect~Earthquake

As Spiral Knight gains more and more momentum, he crashes into Ford with another Rollout! Those are definitely taking their toll on the Pineco, but it looks the bug-type was ready for it, and rolled right back to Counter the attack for massive damage!

Spiral Knight has an incredible amount of speed now and slides straight toward Ford for the fainting blow, but is stopped my a mystical Protect. As he thuds to a halt, his Rollout is stopped solidly, and Ford snickers from behind his wall.

Spiral Knight does not appreciate this at all, and revs up for another Rollout, doing significantly less damage. Ford hits back with a simple Earthquake, creating a little rumble in the jungle (read:forest).

It looks like Spiral Knight will be the winner of this first encounter, but how will Lileep fare against Nincada with all those entry hazards?

Excellent job Ford, you exceeded my expectations. See if you can get some more entry hazards before you fall.

Stealth Rock~Spikes~Spikes

With all of the water left over from his previous muddy adventures, Spiral Knight creates a wave to Surf to victory over Ford. Rezzy recalls the stout Pineco, and sends out his Nincada, Toyota.

Show him your might Spiral Knight!

Surf + Muddy Water Combination~Chill~Muddy Water
If Dig is used on the first action, then use Protect~Surf + Muddy Water Combination~Chill instead

Toyota, though not as fast his evolution, is still faster than his foe, and dives into the wet forest floor. He rises back up for a super-effective Dig attack, only to run into a Protect.

As the Toxic ticks away at Spiral Knight's health, the Omanyte gathers up a lot of water for a massive combo. Unfortunately, he is stopped short by a quick Bug Bite from Nincada.

Now, Maxim sends out his second mon, and Protea the Lileep, and the fossil lands in a pile of gunky toxic and regular spikes, already putting her at a disadvantage.

And this is where we go on the offense, Toyota!

X-Scissor~Bug Bite~Leech Life

IF he uses Toxic, THEN Dig and move attacks down.

Now in the second matchup of the fight, Toyota the Nincada rushes in for a quick X-Scissor, slashing his claws across the frail tentacles of Protea. Protea takes the hit and sends back a ghostly Confuse Ray, bedazzling Toyota for three actions!

Toyota fights through his confusion and nips his foe with a Bug Bite. Protea goes for a defensive approach, ingraining herself into the forest floor.

And the ninja apprentice bug still ignores his confusion, sending a small beam of Leeching energy towards Protea, sucking her life out. However the attack was somewhat wasted, as Nincada is already at full health! But not anymore, as Protea tosses a Rock Slide towards her foe.

Good work, Toyota! Let's finish him with our superior typing.

X-Scissor thrice

If he uses confuse ray on turn 2 or 3, then Dig to avoid it.

As the battle concludes, Rezzy's Toyota manages to slash at Protea with another X-Scissor, and the rock-type retaliates with a massive Boulder Slide, gathering every nearby stone and crashing it down upon Nincada.

Unfortunately for Maxim, the attack does not do near enough, and Nincada picks up another KO with an X-Scissor. Rezzy is the winner!
