Rotom-Fan @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hidden Power [Water]

Rotom-Fan is a solid check to Pinsir as it cannot switch directly into Pinsir's un-boosted Stone Edge, but resists Pinsir's STAB as well as being immune to Earthquake. Rotom-Fan outpaces Pinsir by 3 points and is able to cleanly OHKO with Expert Belt boosted Air Slash.

Clefairy @ Eviolite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp.Atk
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Calm Mind
- Thunder Wave

Yes, none other than the Hard Check Clef Clef. This monster is able to eat up yummy SEs, twave Pinsir, and set up on it, retains reliable rcovery, etc, etc. The reliable recovery makes it able to check pinsir nearly infinitely in a match, which is neato.

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Pinsir Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Clefairy: 222-263 (64.5 - 76.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Audino-Mega @ Audinite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dazzling Gleam
- Fire Blast
- Surf/Psychic/Grass Knot

Offensive CM Mega-Audino is a pretty cool hard check to Pinsir. All Pinsir has to hit Audino neutrally is Life Orb Earthquake and Stone Edge, which both almost always fail to even 3HKO Mega-Audino. In return, Audino can roast Pinsir with a Super Effective Fire Blast.

252 Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Pinsir Earthquake vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Mega Audino: 113-134 (28.9 - 34.3%) -- 2.6% chance to 3HKO

Vivillon as a Check
Vivillon @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Hurricane
- Energy Ball / Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance

Vivillon beats Pinsir 1v1. it can even switch in on Pinsir as you have a Sash, and you outspeed Pinsir. X-Scissor doesn't 2HKO most of the time, and Hurricane easily OHKOs Pinsir back.

252 SpA Vivillon Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Pinsir: 374-444 (138 - 163.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Pinsir X-Scissor vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Vivillon: 133-156 (44.1 - 51.8%) -- 12.5% chance to 2HKO

Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 56 Def / 184 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn

Basic Tank Rhydon with a slight altercation to the previous spread that is meant specifically for Pinsir actually, Rhydon will always live a +2 Adamant Earthquake after Stealth Rock (in case your team lacks hazard control or you just have a hard time in your match removing them.) Other than that eats up every other hit and makes for an all around good Check (as much as I really want to call this a Counter)

Altaria @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 SpD
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Heal Bell
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower

Defensive Altaria takes pitiful damage from Camerupt's Fire-Type moves and is immune to Earth Power making it a perfect counter. Furthermore, Heal Bell and Natural Cure allow Altaria to negate any potential burns Camerupt might cause with Lava Plume. Meanwhile Altaria has a favourable chance to 3HKO Camerupt with Dragon Pulse.

Camerupt Calcs:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 112+ SpD Altaria: 99-117 (28 - 33.1%) -- 90.3% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Barbaracle as a check.

Barbaracle @ Lum Berry / Shuca Berry
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Razor Shell
- Return
- Earthquake

Barbaracle obviously isn't going to counter Camerupt any time soon, but it's actually one of the best switches into a likely Fire Blast. With a Lum Berry, it can also switch into Lava Plume comfortably, while with Shuca Berry it can just about survive an Earth Power if required. It also survives Hidden Power Electric. Once it switches in, it can either OHKO Camerupt with Razor Shell or start a sweep with Shell Smash if Camerupt is locked into its Fire STAB or is likely to switch out.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Barbaracle: 72-84 (25.2 - 29.4%)
252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Lava Plume vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Barbaracle: 52-61 (18.2 - 21.4%)

252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Hidden Power Electric vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Barbaracle: 210-248 (73.6 - 87%)

252 Atk Tough Claws Barbaracle Razor Shell vs. 140 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Camerupt: 558-657 (176.5 - 207.9%)

Hariyama @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Bullet Punch

Does this bring back any memories of Mega Cam/Typh Fire Spam meta?

I would normally run Thick Fat with the AV set since Guts is normally ran with the Choice Band set however this allows you to capitalize on Cam burning you with Lava Plume. The speed evs are pretty common as it allows Yama to creep base 55s and it allows you to outspeed this particular Cam set. You can switch in twice barring a high roll Fire Blast and have a small chance to OHKO with CC unless he burns you which guarantees the kill however Fake Out will do enough damage for CC to kill.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 212 SpD Assault Vest Hariyama: 192-226 (44.7 - 52.6%) -- 22.3% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 212 SpD Assault Vest Hariyama: 157-186 (36.5 - 43.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Samurott @ Mystic Water / whatever else
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Megahorn

Samurott is a check to Specs Camerupt, as it can switch in on any hit and (barely) survive, proceeding to OHKO it with a Waterfall or a MysticWater/LO boosted Aqua Jet.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 170-201 (51.3 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Mantine @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Air Slash
- Signal Beam

Specs Mantine as a check. Specs Camerupt is really difficult to check defensively with it's Fire/Ground/Electric coverage and power, so offensive checks are definitely the way to go here. Mantine has a niche over other Water type Camerupt checks in that it doesn't fear either of Camel's dual STAB, forcing Camerupt to put itself in an unfavorable situation and lock itself into HP Electric. Preventing Camerupt from spamming it's powerful dual STAB is half the battle in checking in, and Mantine certainly does a good job at that. Obviously Mantine has no problem OHKO'ing Camerupt with Choice Specs Scald/Hydro Pump.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mantine: 95-112 (35 - 41.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mantine Scald vs. 140 HP / 0 SpD Solid Rock Camerupt: 540-639 (170.8 - 202.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Claydol @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 120 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock
- Earth Power

Claydol can take everything garbodor has to throw at it with its solid 60/105/120 bulk, after switching in you can proceed to spin away the spikes or attack garbodor/a potential switch-in with epower/psyshock/shadow ball. Gunk shot poisons can get really annoying since they mean garb can 3HKO you after two poison hits so this is only a check.

252 Atk Life Orb Garbodor Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Claydol: 99-117 (30.5 - 36.1%) -- 43.3% chance to 3HKO
The other calcs are not relevant since they'll do a lot less anyways.

Golurk @ Colbur Berry
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Shadow Punch
- Dynamic Punch
- Stealth Rock

Golurk is immune to both Thunderbolt and Focus Blast while 4x resisting Garbodor's STAB Gunk Shot and can easily OHKO in return with Earthquake, making it the perfect counter to mixed offensive Garbodor.
252 Atk Life Orb Garbodor Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Golurk: 61-73 (19.1 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO

252+ Atk Golurk Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garbodor: 410-486 (136.2 - 161.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 136 Atk / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Toxic
So Steelix is a VERY hard check. It's immune to Gunk Shot and Thunderbolt, making those useless, and in return, it nearly OHKO's 100% of the time without rocks and does OHKO with them. It is 2HKO'd barely by Focus Blast, but on the other hand, FB only hits 70% of the time.

4 SpA Life Orb Garbodor Focus Blast vs. 244 HP / 128 SpD Steelix: 177-211 (50.2 - 59.9%) -- 82.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 Spe
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Taunt
- Toxic Spikes

Weezing is a neat counter to Garbodor. Weezing dodges even a 4hko from anything Garb can through at it, and although it's slower can still prevent it from setting up multiple layers of spikes with Taunt. Weez can also burn and cripple Garb, or even set up it's own Toxic Spikes and threaten the rest of the opposing team.

252 Atk Life Orb Garbodor Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 148+ Def Weezing: 70-83 (20.9 - 24.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Sandslash @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Atk / 52 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off

Sandslash is a pretty good check to Garb, easily spinning away any spikes and being 4HKOed at best by Focus Blast (gl hitting 4 focus blasts in a row). Slash OHKO's Garb with ease, and benefits from not taking helmet damage after spinning.

4 SpA Life Orb Garbodor Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 52 SpD Sandslash: 110-131 (31 - 37%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Marowak @ Thick Club
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Marowak is a pretty nice Hard Check to Garbodor. It takes everything Garb has to throw at it (LO Focus Blast is a 3HKO) and can OHKO it with Bonemerang or even set up Swords Dances on it.

4 SpA Life Orb Garbodor Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Marowak: 90-107 (34.4 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Thanks to Recover and good bulk, Quagsire doesn't mind Gunk Shot nor Focus Blast at all, even factoring poison (and Focus Blast hitting all 8 times). Meanwhile, EQuake is a clean 2HKO. Btw why do I feel you regret not slashing Seed Bomb with Thunderbolt, bolts :[

Careful Nature
- Earthquake

Chews Gunk Shot from lo garb, its coverage moves do negliable damage and Vibrava can either roost off the damage to stall it out, Earthquake for a solid 2hko, Defog Garbodor's hazards away, or U-turn out on a predicted switch. Getting poisoned sucks though since I'm pretty sure you can't stall it out after that.

AV Hariyama is a pretty good check from full health if Omastar tries to sweep too early, as it avoids the 2HKO from unboosted Hydro Pump (and the OHKO from +2 Hydro Pump) after Rocks and easily OHKOes back with Close Combat even if Omastar's defenses aren't lowered.

Nothing too special here. Lanturn is a pretty safe bet against any Omastar lacking Earth Power such as this one, since it can simply tank any hit at +2 and retaliate with Volt Switch for an easy OHKO.
