[WIN] Caverns of Time: Old Flower Paradise, Part Two (Normal) - Dogfish44 and Maxim

Walking your way through the deepest part of the forest takes longer than you expected, since the muddy terrain slows you down considerably. Eventually, you find yourselves dipping your feet in water, as the forest leaves place to an eerie, silent marsh. Unlike every other swamp you have witnessed in your present time, there seems to be no living creature crawling around you - not even a minuscule fly. It is as if the entire world around you were still, frozen in time like a landscape pictured on a canvas.

You can't tell how much time passed since, but eventually something stands out beyond the colorless vegetation. A tiny, green body lies on a small island, barely emerging from the water. As you approach it, you recognize the little creature from the scattered bits of lore you heard during your journeys, as well as from the tales of N and his Eon allies. It is the legendary Pokemon, Celebi.

You wonder if the little pixie is still alive, when suddenly a deep laugher echoes through the air, cold and sharp like a deadly blade.

"I did not expect to see mortals venturing into my domain... I suppose this is the work of Latias and Latios? Well then, they have sent you to your deaths"

You look around you, panicking. But nothing is there to see. Then something - an ominous feeling? - makes you look above. And stare before it. A massive beast, covered in armor plaques that shield its body like an impenetrable bulwark, flies right above you, its red eyes burning with scornful wrath. Its figure looks slightly translucent, as if you were looking at a ghost or a faint reflection. But nevertheless, you can feel tremendous power flowing from it, your legs shaking as if they were pleading for you to kneel in submission.

"Bravely you sought entrance through the paths of the Timelord", cries the beast. "But now, no one can save you. In this realm, I am in control!"

A blue aura surrounds the beast, its eyes glowing even more intensely. Then, Celebi's body floats from your arms, up into the air between you and the titanic dragon.

"Rise, Celebi", orders the creature, before its figure fades in thin air. "Rise, and serve your true master once more!".

You don't have time to wonder where did it go, because right as it disappears, Celebi's eyes open, glancing at you like you were the most horrifying things they ever gazed upon

I'm thinking R2A1 Bloodlust again. Have Esca Bug Bite A1 here, nobody else move, and we should be fine for threat. I'd also avoid Mega Evolving Pinsir atm, just on the off chance it has to tank an AncientPower A1 ^^'

Chapter 12 Part 2: The Mission to Rescue Celebi!

The battles with the forest's guardians had put us all on edge. Yet still there was not a sign of the captive Celebi. I began to have second thoughts about this expedition, but Harold consoled me to go on, and so we continued. My four Pokemon were dead tired from taking on Pyroak and Malaconda, so I returned them, and sent out my last two team members, hoping we would have enough fortitude to continue on.

As we continued on, the ground got wetter and wetter, until we found ourselves in a swampy marsh. As a result walking our way through the deepest part of the forest took us longer than expected. Soon enough we were up to our ankles in water. While our clothing getting ruined was certainly a dilemma, the worst part was the silence. You know how most swamps are teeming with life, usually of the mosquito variety? Well this place was eerily dead, there was nothing here, not even a housefly. Aside from the trees, plants and presumably micro-organisms, there wasn't a living thing in sight. It is as if the entire world around us was stopped in time. I sure hope nobody stole any Time Gears while we were busy...

Jokes aside, we continued through the colorless vegetation for quite some time. Soon enough we found a tiny, green body lying on a small island, barely visible from the water. Sure enough, we finally found our target, Celebi itself. "Now naturally as soon as we find what we're looking for we are probably going to end up in some contrived scenario that results in us fighting it right?" I thought to myself.

A few moments of waiting...and I breathe a sigh of relief as nothing attacked us.

I approached the pixie to check on its vital signs, when suddenly a deep, ominous laugh echoed through the marsh.

Blast it all.

I looked around, trying to find the source of the voice to attack it before it decided to summon something. Then something - an ominous feeling perhaps? - made me look above. And there it was. Dialga. I had heard tales about it from my old friend Arthur, but I never thought I'd see it in person. Apparently the Sigil Orb had turned it evil, and now I had a time traveler after my blood.

A blue aura enveloped the area. Celebi ominously floated into the air, gaining immense power. And more than likely, a new sense of insanity to go with it.

"Rise, Celebi", ordered the creature, before its figure faded in thin air. "Rise, and serve your true master once more!".

I did not have time to wonder where Dialga vanished to, because Celebi's eyes opened, looking upon us as though we were monsters from another realm.

Celebi: What do you want? STAY AWAY FROM ME!

Make that two time travelers out for my blood.



"Nuts. Well guys, lets start this one slow and steady, I have a bad feeling about this."


"Of course my liege, I shall grab it's attention!"


"Finally a worthy opponent!"

Under Mellifera's lead, the team unleashes a brutal assault on Celebi, while the pixie barely scratches Sir Lance-a-Lot in return. Scared and confused, the legendary Pokemon follows with a pained cry:

Then, it proceeds to warp Lux's essence, summoning a past version of it that however looks hostile! You wonder who else other than the Mollux could handle... herself...

... but at the same time, you notice a seeping, eerie cloud of chronal energy is lingering near your position. Could it be useful in any way?

Echo of Revenge: a copy of Mollux spawns! The copy will have the same stats and abilities of the Pokemon and HP equal to 100% of the copied Pokemon's original max HP. The copy will not attack the Pokemon, but will instead use Drain Life on it to heal Celebi every action. The copy has the same speed of the copied Pokemon (without any modifiers such as Speed stage boosts or paralysis), but will lose any speed tie with the copied Pokemon. Every Pokemon can damage the copy, but the copied Pokemon will do +200% damage against its copy.
A cloud of Chrono Fog spawned! A Pokemon can tap into the essence of the cloud to remember a move previously disabled, but doing so will consume the cloud, inflict damage to the tapping Pokemon equal to 30% of its maximum health and reduce its maximum health by 30%. Lingering clouds will disappear at the end of the round after they spawned if not tapped. Tapping in a cloud is a Command that costs 5 energy and has 0 priority.

Sadly, despite my best efforts, the attacks did little to dissuade the pixie from attacking us. At this point however, I was out of options, and had to keep attacking to keep myself alive.


"Blast, it's not working..."


"Sure it's working! We're beating it u---oh dear is that a clone?"


"If we kill Celebi, then all hope is lost..."

While Mellifera easily dispatches Lux's twisted copy, the other team mates keep pounding Celebi relentlessly. This causes the legendary pixie to back off frantically and pull another temporal stretch - this time on Sir Lance-a-Lot

Celebi: Feel your doubts! See your fears!

Furthermore, the blunt for a moment seem then to bring a shred of sanity into the creature's mind, but that lasts only for a brief instant.

Celebi: Maybe this is not- No, we fight! Come to my aid!

In reply to the pixie's plea, a rift opens in spacetime, and a weird creature emerges from it, ready to defend Celebi from its unlikely enemies!

The newly spawned Sigilyph lets loose a strange noise. Most of the team seems to be unaffected, but both Brunhilde and Celebi are hurt by the screeching sound. The eerie bird however is soon floored by the Pinsir himself and his barrage of boulders. Escavalier's twisted copy is thus dispatched as well, leaving the team some time to wear down Celebi more. However, right when victory seems within grasp, another of those annoying birds spawns from the chronal rift!

Round 5

Mellifera and Brunhilde make short work of the Sigilyph, allowing Lux and the Escavalier to keep pressing on Celebi. The legendary pixie pays back with a weak jolt of electricity, only for the Beedrill to return with a double strike. This attack, though, finally seems to have snapped Celebi out of its brainwashed state.

As you recall your Pokemon and the remaining Sigilyph flee in the depths of the forest, Celebi calls upon its power to heal off its wounds, then turns its gaze on you, with a sad expression. "I... I am sorry. I don't know what took hold of me. But who are you? And why are you...".
However, before the pixie could finish its sentence, the air around you begins crackling with wild energy. You are on the verge to give in to panic along with the legendary creature, when a rift opens near you.
"Quick, this way!" shout Latios, emerging partially from it. "We must leave this timeway before it collapses!"
Your understanding of the situation is bare at best, but you decide to follow the Eon Pokemon's advice nonetheless and leap inside the rift along with Celebi. Behind you, a dreadful roar echoes...
