Okay so this is my first thread, so go easy on me if I did/am doing something foolish.

Immunity - Cannot be Poisoned at any time. Somewhat useful against toxic stallers.
Toxic Boost(DW) - Attack stat is increased 50% when poisoned. THIS. IS. SO. GOOD.

    Toxic Boost

    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat/Brick Break
    -Night Slash/X-Scissor/Aerial Ace

Okay, essentially this will function similarly to a Guts Ursaring, except faster. Switch in, get your TB boost, Swords Dance if you can without dying, and go to town. Close Combat is preferred, but Brick Break can be used for those who want to protect what little defense he has. Night Slash is best for the third slot for ideal coverage, but one can opt for X-Scissor if they wish. Aerial Ace might seem like an odd choice, but it's the only way this violent mongoose can protect itself from fighting types. Facade is Facade. With Wish support for when Zangoose's health gets low, you will find this set to be even more devastating.

    Toxic Boost

    -Work Up
    -Focus Blast
    -Night Slash/X-Scissor

I know this seems farfetched (you know what I'm tempted to put there) given Zangoose's pitiful special attack stat, but with Work Up, it is definitely within the realm of possibility. Wish support will be more or less manditory in conjuction with this set, because unlike the previous one, at least a turn of set up will be required.

What exactly is focus blast breaking?

Nattorei and skarmory seem like the main things, so why not just use HP fire? more power, less miss.

Normal hits nearly all fighting types for neutral, so STAB Facade (140 * 1.5 = 210 base power) hits way harder than super effective Aerial Ace (60 * 2 = 120) except for 4x weak pokemon like Breloom/Virizion/Parasect/Leavanny.

Fighting types that resist normal (Terrakion, Lucario, Cobalion) are all neutral to Aerial Ace, so Facade still hits harder. I.e. there is no reason to use Aerial Ace.

If Ghosts are gone in opponent's party, Quick Attack deserves a spot or at least consideration in the first set, since Zangoose isn't that fast, but a Sword Dance Toxic Boost boosted Quick Attack can be compared to a SD Scizor Technician Bullet punch (just with 15 less base attack).

Also, there's no reason to not just use Jolly/Adamant instead of Naive/Naughty.

By leavanny, i think you mean heracross?

The only poke that can take an sd'd facade there has to be virizion, who probably outspeeds you anyways.

zangoose is pretty much inferior to lucario in every way, don't bother using him. oh, and virizion can't take sd'd facade, it has shitty phys def.

But it often boosts it for it's CM set.

And yes, i know it has base 72 defense, and base 90-something hp. But still,max/max might be able to, and i've seen those before.

Max/Max+ Virizion takes 104.4-123.6% from +2 Toxic Boost Facade if Zangoose is running no attack investment and a -atk nature. A max investment + atk nature one deals 143.8-169.4%.

A discussion thread about this Pokemon already exists. Unless you can provide some arguments to use Zangoose in OU, then you should use this thread.
