Does Water Pulse (40% confusion via Serene Grace) ever have a place on a Togekiss?

Confusion, has the an effect on damaging the opponent's HP, 50% each time depending on how long the confusion is in play. However, the downfall being it's only 50% and it relies on a bit of luck. This is even taking into account you get the opponent's Pokemon confused, and, they might switch anyway.

Now, it doesn't get stab on this Water-type move. So, you'll be dealing a 60% BP move any time you are trying to confuse the opposing Pokemon.

Air Slash is a must. Obviously has an advantage over its other attacks. Meaning, it will have a reserved seat when the Togekiss is being made. Roost, Nasty Plot, Aura Sphere, Wish, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave and Baton Pass, etc. You have alot to compete with, and Water Pluse just can't fit on the set.

The big reason why I don't agree with an open spot for Water Pulse: Togekiss has a wide range of options in terms of working with the team. Common one that springs to most people's minds is using the trait Serene Grace to "hax" the opponent. Air Slash's ability to flinch the opponent is a free turn in its own. That is what Water Pulse is for, right? With Air Slash being the better choice over Water Pulse, you see that you're doing the same desired job with more damage anyway (not taking into account the typing of both moves). Additionally, Aura Sphere will damage things like Tyranitar with a significant difference in terms of damage dealt.

This is why I don't agree with Water Pulse. It hasn't really got a use on its own that it can't already do better with something else at its disposal.

I'm assuming it has no Egg Moves, correct?

Blaziken @ Lum Berry
Blaze Kick/Flare Blitz
Brick Break/Sky Uppercut
Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Mirror Move

If you're going for a bulkier EV spread (lots of HP), then take Flare Blitz and Stone Edge. If you're focusing more on Speed, try Blaze Kick and Rock Slide. Brick Break vs. Sky Uppercut is a matter of preference. With Lum Berry, you can absorb a Sleep move. If you can predict this, you can fire the Sleep move back with Mirror Move.

EDIT: I don't claim that this is better than your set, but it is a set. What environment are you planning on using it in, again?

Wait one more question; wouldn't shadow claw work better than rock slide for killing zams?(if it outsped it that is, which is doubtful but a thought) How come you never see shadow claw used for psychic counters? For the record, I plan to use it against OU mainly.

Thanks for your input! I couldn't think of a 'real' convincing reason for Water Pulse over Aura Sphere, but I wanted to see if anyone would come up with a decent scenario. Thanks again.

I should have acknowledged that Air Slash has 60% of flinching. So, above what I said, it has an extra 20% chance of getting you a free turn.

Shadow Claw's definitely better than Rock Slide against Psychic types. I haven't done a detailed analysis, but I think Shadow Claw would be the better choice overall, too. All a Rock attack really gets Blaziken is good damage against Flying-types. Shadow Claw can catch fast Psychic and Ghost-types as they switch in if your prediction is good. So, you'll do less well against Gyarados and Salamence, but better against Dusknoir, Gengar, etc. I'd say that's a good tradeoff, since Gyaraods and Salamence will lower your Attack as they switch in anyway.

EDIT: CardsOfTheHeart: Levels of Evasion definitely increase Punishment's power. Focus Energy (and presumably the boost from a Lansat Berry) do not power up Punishment. I would be very surprised if Accuracy boosts (from Acupressure only) didn't count as stat levels, since Evasion boosts do.

Thanks, I thought it was a decent idea. Btw, if anybody wants to ev this for me, I'll give them a clone of it.(I have the tms I can get it, and I'll rc it, but I don't have the time to ev it) For 1:1 this is an AWESOME deal. Pm me if you're interested in it, since I'm busy breeding carvahna.

I'd say Iron Island. Where Riley was with the Riolu egg.

You're hatching your Pokemon in cool places too?

Hell yeah. Ever since I began SR'ing I wanted to hatch them in awesome places. Got the idea from you >.>
So far I've done Magby in Team Galatic HQ idk why :|
Eevee in Trophy Garden <--- Lame

I'm SRing the Legendary Birds on my LeafGreen (this is my first time SRing anything at all) and I was wondering if there are any ways of getting better IV's and/or getting the right nature while doing this.

Nope. The Synchronize trick doesn't work in FireRed or LeafGreen, so I think you're SOL. Good luck, though. Hope you get good ones without it taking forever.

A. Emerald event item

b. TRU mew

The only way to catch a mew is with an old sea chart in emerald, but you can't get one anymore. I'm surprised you didn't get one at the Toy's R us event a few years back. I have a TRU one.

Do all Japanese versions of Pokémon D/P have the Elite Four glitches? If not, is it possible to tell whether they do or not by their serial number?

Not sure if this will be different on new versions, but my Japanese Pearl (first generation, has the Elite 4 glitch which I've personally used) has the following code on the back of the cart:
APAJN0J20

And the following UPC code:
4 902370 513912
