The tip of it's tale has become a large green gemstone that's the shape of a cutting chain. An utterly insane Pokémon, it will chop down every tree it sees on the pettiest reasons, turning the areas around them into a lush grassland thanks to the enchanted woodchips it creates with it's chainsaw.

Iron Fist clone that boosts the power of tail-based attacks. Canon moves boosted by this ability are Slam, Dragon Tail, Aqua Tail, Iron Tail, Poison Tail, Tail Slap, Power Whip, and Breaking Swipe.

Flavor: This baby armored dinosaur is based on the above early rendition of Stegosaurus, whose famous plates were once interpreted as lying flat against its body like the scales of a pinecone or a pangolin. Here, the body literally resembles that of a Pineco on its side, save for its smooth, light green belly and four stubby, light green legs with two claws per foot sticking out of the underside; the cone itself is longer than Pineco, though, the tail joining smoothly with the body, and the scales resemble Sandslash's quills over the body before becoming Sandshrew-like brick-like patterning on the tail, which ends with a small, dark green tuft of pine needles. The green, lizard-like head is present from where the stem of the cone would be, with orange, dopey-looking eyes that look almost wall-eyed. The scales are a rich red-brown normally, but gray in the shiny with a more bluish hue to the greens on it.

"The scales covering its body harden quickly after its birth. These wooden scales can be raised or lowered at will."
"Its tiny brain is slow to register imminent danger. Fortunately, its armor is too tough for predators to break through."

Effect: Increased critical hit ratio, 10% chance of inflicting the same effect as Leech Seed
Flags: Contact, Mirror, Tail (boosted by Thagomizer)
Distribution: Stegcone line exclusive
Justification: Grass-type Poison Tail clone
Flavor: A hunchbacked, retro-style Stegosaurus in Sugimori style, Stegsaw is so-named for the two rows of metallic, bladed, light green leaves for plates running down its back which are close enough to one another that together, they can vibrate fast enough to act like the teeth of a hedge trimmer; these solar-panel plates also resemble the leaves of a podocarp, being long yet rather thin in shape. The armored scales on its back are now shorter and more subdued, with a brick-patterned look like Sandshrew's scales, and only cover the tail and upper back with the rest of its body, including its now-visible neck, being a slightly darker shade of grass green than its predecessor. The cluster of spikes on its tail has now become a four-spiked thagomizer, the gray, metallic spikes facing upward to strike at taller foes looming above it in case it somehow misses them with its dorsal trimmer; the three claws on each of its feet are also gray. The head is still lizardy but with a pointed upper jaw suggesting a beak, and its still-orange eyes are smaller and more angry-looking.

"The leaves on its back are metallic, razor-sharp, and not connected to its spine. It can move them back and forth to slice up anything unlucky enough to be caught."
"Protected by its steel-hard scales, it lazes about all day, soaking up the sun's rays with its leaves. If disturbed, it angrily lashes out with the nail-like spikes on its tail."

Base Power: 80
Accuracy: 100%
Power Points: 24
Effect: Lowers target's defense by 1 stage
Flags: Contact, Mirror, Slicing, Tail (boosted by Thagomizer)
Distribution: Signature move of Stegohaul
Justification: Steel-type Fire Lash clone
Flavor: Proportionally akin to a paleo-accurate Stegosaurus, with a slender neck and head and an upright, horizontal tail, this final stage also incorporates traits of a logging machine, with rust-red, segmented armor plating (the result of its scales fusing together into solid pieces upon evolving) covering the upper half of its body. Armadillo-like half-rings of sorts cover the upper torso, and darker gray, round shields protect the upper limbs whose gray centers invoke tires. A dome-shaped rust-red armor cap with a gray stripe fore to aft, suggesting a construction helmet, tops the narrow, almost horse-like head, with its beaky snout with a dopey smile and its dull yet friendly orange eyes; behind it, its neck is guarded by rings of armor invoking both a tree trunk and the throat scutes present in many actual Stegosaurus fossils, and the powerful, flexible tail is also covered in ring segments from base to tip. The broader, triangular leaves running down the back and tail (which are grass green, the rest of the body being emerald green) are now slightly joined at the bases to suggest two enormous sawblades, and there's another leafy saw-crest along the top of the neck, but it's the tail that does the woodcutting now: the thagomizer is less like a Stegosaurus here and more like a Kentrosaurus, with a row of six gray, narrow blades running down each side all the way to the base of the tail like the teeth of a hedge trimmer - these vibrate back and forth so the tail can be used like a chainsaw to brutal effect on tree trunks and predators alike. There are also two long gray spikes on the shoulders, Kentrosaurus style, but these are angled forward and downward before curving slightly upward like oversized Donphan tusks, and are used in a similar manner to the tines of a forklift to carry logs it's cut down. After clearing a suitable stretch of forest to make its territory, it will use the fallen trees to build a large and sophisticated shelter for its nest, as well as stripping the leaves from the trees for food; since it isn't as viciously territorial as its pre-evo, it's happy to let smaller Pokémon take up residence and form whole little communities within the structures it's built, and some say it even taught the art of woodworking to the earliest settlers of Brunica.

Potential Competitive Role: For all intents and purposes, this is what you'd get if you stuffed a Ferrothorn in a dinosaur costume, gave it a chainsaw, and told it to go do a crime or ten. Stegohaul enjoys the same type combination and a similarly defensive build to the chestnut of doom, but its key differences are its slightly reduced physical defense in favor of a very mild Speed boost and a more significant physical Attack buff, its inability to inflict contact damage should it be forced to take a contact hit, and its lack of Stealth Rock, forcing it to run Spikes as its only hazard option. While it certainly can resort to status to screw with the opposition, though, Stegohaul's best strategy by far is to use its bulk to trade hits with equally powerful opponents, and Thagomizer synergizes well with its solid Attack stat to give it some serious damage output. Iron Tail and Power Whip are certainly viable enough ways to exploit this ability, but both of its signature moves are designed to work especially well with it: Thorn Tail offers passive healing on top of the damage it deals, while Sawspike Slash weakens opponents' physical Defense the more times it successfully hits, leaving them increasingly vulnerable. Unfortunately, Stegohaul is unable to handle Fire any better than Ferrothorn can and though it does get Earthquake and Rock Slide, neither are boosted by Thagomizer and they're as such best reserved as backup options for foes its STAB can't handle. It won't be winning marathons anytime soon and it may not have as much variety in terms of attacking options as it would like, but what this sturdy saurian does have can pack more than enough of a wallop to introduce any unprepared adversary to the late Thag Simmons.

"Heavily armored yet with very little brainpower, it's nonetheless well-adapted for forest life. With its bladed tail, it cuts down trees to clear out its territory, and then feasts on the fallen vegetation."
"Despite having a brain the size of a Pecha Berry, its talent at carpentry is second to none. The structures it builds from fallen logs soon become home to whole communities of smaller Pokémon."

Flavor: This red-orange bipedal goat kid has a white snout and belly, eyes like Wooloo, and drooping lop ears beneath a hardened, brown scalp that's almost helmet-like, with an orange spot in the middle of the forehead. Its tail is like a candle wick, with a small flame on the end; it melts metals and all manner of other things it eats in its fiery gut, and the more it eats, the larger and brighter its flame is.

"A small yet feisty Fire-type that will eat almost anything, especially metal. The more it eats, the brighter its tail burns."
"It frolics up and down steep, rocky slopes with great agility. If it hits anything along the way, its hard head keeps it safe."

Flags: Beam, Defrost, Mirror
Distribution: Capryre line exclusive
Justification: Fire-type Freezing Glare clone
Flavor: Basically a larger and more explicitly anthropomorphic version of Capryre - as the name suggests, it's more explicitly satyr-inspired. This fire-breathing bipedal orange mountain goat also has black fur patterns on its upper body and surrounding its white snout patch, suggesting both charring and a quarry-worker or miner aesthetic, with luminous orange vertical stripes on its chest suggesting both a furnace grill and the signal stripes on a miner's safety vest, as well as a fiery spot on its now earthen, terracotta-brown helmet like a miner's headlamp. The fetlocks and hooves on its otherwise white legs are also brown with packed earth and styled a bit like Mudsdale's, while its gray, curved horns invoke pickaxes and can swivel in their sockets.

"To satisfy its craving for minerals, it scales nearly vertical cliffs to lick them from mountainsides. As such, its horns and hooves are harder than iron."
"As it forages for precious ores in the mountains, its horns are used to dig tunnels into the slopes. It relies on its inner fire as a light to find its way back out."

Base Power: 90
Accuracy: 100%
Power Points: 24
Effect: Ignores the target's Defense and evasion stat changes
Flags: Authentic, Contact, Mirror
Distribution: Signature move of Exchamera
Justification: Ground-type Sacred Sword clone
Flavor: Now fully evolved, the king of Brunica's mountains (and at least one volcano!) is capable of tunneling beneath the earth as quickly as it can race on top of it, with bulky, almost bear-like forelimbs so heavy with muscle that it has to walk on all fours (in an inverse of how nearly all the other Fire starters are bipedal when fully evolved). Its front hooves have become gray-covered claws not unlike the scoops of a backhoe (though they can splay into three claws kinda like what Drilbur and Excadrill have; the back feet are still hooved), and all four limbs have red-brown packed earth covering the lower portions like what Mudsdale has. Aside from looking like both a coal miner and a mining machine, with a fiery red-orange patterning on its torso like a miner's vest, a glowing spot on its red-brown mining helmet of a headplate, and dark brown hindquarters, it's also styled like the Chimera of Classical mythology, with a smoke-spouting snake-like exhaust pipe for a tail as well as "wings" made of additional exhaust pipes, and large, long drills for horns that can spin in their sockets; all of these are gray like the foreclaws, and the smoke the pipes spew is a choking coal-black. The entire head, orange snout aside, is now entirely black with white eyes, with an equally black mane like a Himalayan tahr (or perhaps the mane of a lion?) framing it and covering the neck and shoulders, frazzled and smoking like it's recovering from a zany cartoon explosion. Unfazed by either cave-ins or geothermal heat, Exchamera not only dominates the cliffs and mountainsides but tunnels through them to find ores to eat, opening up new passageways for those traveling the mountains in the process, though the smoke it produces in the process is a scalding-hot, choking hazard in its own right, expelled forcefully enough for it to hurtle forth like a rocket at shocking speeds. Still, its strict, brutish temperament belies a caring nature towards those willing to work with it, and it will lead anyone lost in the caves to safety with its fiery glow, drilling through obstacles with its horns and hooves along the way. Local folklore states that when people first colonized Brunica, they looked to this Pokémon to guide them through the mountains safely, and even learned to procure and refine precious stones, ores, and metals themselves from it in the process.

Potential Competitive Role: Fast and furious, Exchamera is a mixed attacker that can work well on both the physical and special fronts, offering a variety of powerful STAB moves such as Flare Blitz, Fire Blast, Earthquake, Earth Power, and of course both of its signature moves, as well as a decent coverage spread including as Rock Slide, Megahorn, Gunk Shot, Solar Beam, Wild Charge, and Zen Headbutt among others - Solar Beam in particular is excellent for harsh sun teams since it can counter both of its type weaknesses at once without having to charge up. Refinery only augments its offensive presence because the more damage it can inflict super-effectively, especially with two excellent offensive types to its credit, the deadlier it will become as the battle continues. Its main weaknesses are its poor physical Defense and HP, especially in the presence of Earthquake and powerful physical Water attacks like Liquidation, and its lack of any form of healing, forcing it to eschew the almighty Flare Blitz as its main physical Fire STAB in favor of the significantly less favorable but recoil-free Flame Charge, meaning it will have to bank on Earthquake as its primary means of dishing out physical damage.

"With its drill-like horns, it digs up tasty ores with which to fuel its inner fire. It expels the excess as powerful jets of smoke and flame which can propel it at tremendous speeds, even when digging underground."
"Though its belly is like a furnace and its temper like a volcano, it puts the safety of those who respect its lifestyle first. Should its peers be trapped in a cave-in, it will bore an escape tunnel and lead them to safety."

Flavor: Smallest of the three starters in this set, this bipedal, anthropomorphic gray-blue cleaner shrimp has a white torso like a sailor's shirt, dark blue stripes separating it from the pincer-limbs and its lower body (with two skinny, Pawniard-like legs and a shrimpy tail behind) suggesting the stripes on the edges of said shirt. The top of its head is white with a pointed front tip suggesting both the pointed headplate of a shrimp or lobster and a sailor's hat, the actual face being light blue with large, solid black eyes with white centers set on short stalks. Its tiny, slender pincers are also light blue, and are styled like nautical hooks more than anything else; because they're too awkward for fighting, they aren't often used in battle, so it instead sprays seawater from its mouth as its primary attack (which it also uses to instinctively clean dirty objects and Pokémon).

"They live in large numbers on the sea, sometimes infesting boats. When given orders, they obey them without hesitation."
"Its hook-like pincers are used for utility rather than combat. It sprays a salty froth from its mouth for both defense and cleaning."

Justification: Rock-type special Night Daze clone
Flavor: A bulkier, tougher-looking upright lobster, Lobswab's body shape is something akin to a mix of Larry from Spongebob and Mr. Waternoose from Monsters, Inc., with a darker bluish slate-gray to most of its upper body except for a dark blue to the upper part of the torso as well as its arms except for its pincers. Its shoulders are encrusted with epaulets made of hard, reflective shards of familiar-looking pink coral, and similar decor adorns the top of its bright blue pointy head, which now has feelers arranged like a pencil mustache and smaller and fiercer-looking stalked eyes. The body bends sharply at the waist which has four white crab-like legs coming out of it to stand on, its tail curving downward behind it with the soft white finlets at the end suggesting a mop with which to swab the ground behind it. Notably, its blue pincers are asymmetrical: its right claw looks like Clauncher's, but its left is thinner with a long, serrated main prong like the pincer of the above-pictured Dinochelus lobster, shaped like a serrated saber - this is actually a bit on the fragile side, but can be surrounded by a blade of water to turn it into a halfway decent weapon.

"Its left pincer is too frail to engage in direct combat, but it secretes a salty brine from its arms to augment it. A single swipe of this briny blade can cut through stone."
"By waving its pincers wildly, it aims to impress peers and foes alike, but often comes off as comically inept. It uses its mop-like tail to clean up after any messes in its wake."

Base Power: 65
Accuracy: 90%
Power Points: 24
Effect: Lays a layer of Spikes on the opposing side
Flags: Mirror
Distribution: Signature move of Capstacian
Justification: Rock-type special Ceaseless Edge clone
Flavor: With a somewhat centaurian body shape reminiscent of Crawdaunt, Capstacian is sturdier and stockier than its pre-evolutions, its entire body angled forward and shaped much like the hull of a battleship or destroyer except made of chitin below and coral and barnacles above - it's actually stuck an entire live coral reef on its back to make it that much tougher to bust open. The coral is now light gray like Cursola's shell but with some live pink branches coming out akin to Johtonian Corsola, the latter invoking the smokestacks of a cruiser and even emitting spouts of froth. Darker gray barnacles are affixed to the sides of this coral armor hull as well as the shoulders, and these are used like cannons, blasting jets of water and even pebbles they pick up to strike down prey or foes from a distance, though it can also use them to more gently hose down grime and in fact has a habit of cleaning up anything dirty - even other Pokémon. The dark bluish black shell proper has yellow accents making it reminiscent of the jacket of a naval officer, and the top of the head has projections that make it resemble a tricorn hat; the face, tail, and the lower parts of its six Kingler-like legs are lighter sea-blue, and its white, bushy antennae coupled with matching bristles around its mouth resemble a seaman's mustache. Its blue, gold-tipped pincers, mounted on buff-looking arms, now look like pirate captain's weaponry, with the right pincer encased by an especially large barnacle like the barrel of a pistol and the thinner left one being distinctly cutlass-shaped. Finally, its still-white tail fin is now shaped and used like the propeller of a ship, enabling it to swim through even the roughest waves - the earliest residents of Brunica supposedly rode on its back through sea storms and dangerous reefs, and modeled their own watercraft off of the bulky yet hydrodynamic shape of its armored shell.

Potential Competitive Role: Straight from the depths of Davy Jones' locker, Capstacian calls forth the wrath of the sea to smite all who dare oppose it with its formidable Special Attack stat and a number of powerful moves with which to abuse it. Despite being statted as primarily a special attacker, though, its bulk is skewed slightly more towards the physical side, the better to potentially stymie foes looking to take it on in physical combat. More significantly, its Rip Current HA is tailor-built to screw with and screw over the enemy team in one of the most hilariously frustrating ways imaginable: potentially forcing a switch straight into Stealth Rock, Spikes, or other entry hazards. Both of its signature moves are in fact hazard-setters themselves (on top of this dangerous decapod naturally learning Stealth Rock as well), and they synergize well with Rip Current to not only throw off the strategy of the enemy team, but also inconvenience whomever's dragged in at the worst possible time. The main drawbacks to watch out for are its middling Speed and weaknesses to three common attacking types along with a double Grass weakness, though Grass and Electric are dealt with by Ground and Ice coverage respectively. Luckily, Shell Smash and Rock Polish both offer a handy speed boost to enable it to make good use of its offensively oriented typing, with Shell Smash in particular offering a SpA boost as well, which is arguably enough to turn this decently tanky supportive pivot into a frighteningly effective setup sweeper if given enough room to breathe.

"The coral on its shell has grown into a buoyant, living reef. It dutifully keeps this natural fortress free of any excess clutter, and any smaller Pokémon that make a home on it are expected to do the same."
"In battle, it uses its cannon-like symbiotes to collect water, silt, and even sunlight as ammunition for a fierce assault. By spraying brine less forcefully, it carefully washes its nest to keep it in pristine condition."

By letting Photalohm use a Flying Balm, its Flying damaging moves are replaced with Magnetic Updraft.
New Features:
Magnetic Updraft has the same category as its base move and x1.5 the power, with 5-8PP and perfect accuracy. If it hits, it inflicts Telekinesis. It is a wind move, does not make contact, and cannot be copied in any way, shape, or form, even by Metronome.
Flavour/Design: Photalohm is a slender bird of prey mon covered in bright yellow-green leaves with moose-like wooden antlers, which in turn have glowing yellow spots. Despite what the change in HA may suggest, it still flies stronger than ever, and in fact does this to protect the forest it lives in by drawing in lightning and making that power its own.

Potential Competitive Role: A mon that can both abuse and counter rain. It's utterly packed with utility as far as the eye can see and can run good ol' CM sets as well, plus the Flying Balm sets bring to mind Zapdos.
:raticate::heatmor::great-tusk::sandslash::raboot:

Flavour/Design: Gerblaze is a larger gerbil/muskrat mon that likes digging. It has two large fangs and a smirk on its face. It's much more comfortable in the ground than on the surface, and hibernates in response to the winters it so loathes... Though if any were living near the Lifeless Frost Pokémon they'd probably stay underground for a long time.
Potential Competitive Role: Probably too slow to scarf well in ZU but Mold Breaker with that typing is no joke.

By letting Smeltusk use a Fighting Balm, its Fighting damaging moves are replaced with Leaping Onrush.
New Features:
Leaping Onrush is Fighting-type with the same category as its base move, x1.5 the power, perfect accuracy, and 5-8PP. If it hits an airborne target, it grounds that target. This move is contact but cannot be copied in any way, shape, or form, even by Metronome.
Flavour/Design: Smeltusk has two big ol' tusks that shine bright with heat. One of this subterranean mon's kicks can shatter rocks to bits and knock down things from the air, which lets it use its tusks to tear into them.

Potential Competitive Role: Fighting Balm wallbreaker. Mold Breaker lets it tear open things with solid Fire/Ground/Rock coverage and dish out the pain with Leaping Onrush. Of course you could also go for an offensive pivot set or even scarf, but your opponents will instantly catch on that you're not running the Fighting Balm set.
:liepard::vaporeon::sandslash-alola::cufant::meowth-galar:
The line as a whole is based on the Mishipeshu, a feline mythical creature with ties to the sea and underworld said to guard great amounts of copper in the Great Lakes. Panthoard in particular also takes cues from the ball-tailed cat, another mythical creature in Canadian indigenous mythology. However, they're all cats first and foremost.

Flavour/Design: Tidalynx is a darker blue than Lochitten, and has patches of pointy teal fur covering more of its torso. With some spiritual power awakened, it can more effectively track down fish mons and will also hunt down Steel-types. Its ethereal glow is limited to its face, and even then it's only visible in complete pitch black.
Potential Competitive Role: Three STABs??? For realsies??? Anyway that might be its one niche in NFE or ZU; Water/Ghost covers a lot and you can stack STABs on this one.

By letting Panthoard use a Steel Balm, its Steel-type damaging moves are replaced with Cupric Deluge.
New Features:
Cupric Deluge is Steel-type with the same category as the move it's overriding, perfect accuracy, x1.5 the base power, and 5-8PP. When it hits, it sets up the G-Max Steelsurge hazard. This move is not contact and cannot be copied in any way, shape, or form, even by Metronome.
Flavour/Design: Panthoard is a bluish black mon covered in an even more vast array of pointy teal patches than Tidalynx, though still mainly relegated to the torso, and with a spiky tuft near the tip of its tail. Panthoard's teal fur even glows much more than Tidalynx's, though along its spine, torso, and legs the glow is still a bit faint. Panthoard is quite prone to hoarding various metal items, even the ones that are less valuable than others. Trying to steal from Panthoard will only result in it using force to take it back, and it is absolutely merciless when provoked like this.

Potential Competitive Role: While Play Rough as coverage works great in tandem with Poltergeist, Steelworker Cupric Deluge is gonna be a horrifying menace to deal with. While we did get two Water-type starters comparable in speed to Panthoard in recent realmon history, they'd both rather run special sets and Panthoard's a physical attacker.

We're approaching the 120 hour hallmark, give or take, and with the variety of Starters here, I'm also going to be starting the 96 hour countdown.

In order for your submission to be considered eligible, they must include: a (non-placeholder) name, having Grass, Fire or Water as their primary type, Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent as their default ability, six stats, a list of notable moves, and a flavour explanation. Any submission by the end of the deadline that does not have all of the above on at least their FE stage will be made ineligible to be voted.

Also, while I was initially planning on keeping the Type Balm moves as its own slate, seeing a couple of your ideas has convinced me to change my mind. You are now permitted to include a possible Type Balm move as part of your submissions, though note that by doing so, you forfeit the right to give that same sub a different exclusive move.

Air Slash, Defog, Dual Wingbeat, Encore, Giga Drain, Hyper Voice, Leech Seed, Magnet Rise, Signal Beam, Wood Hammer, Grass Pledge

BREEDING/MIRROR HERB (Egg Groups: Grass, Flying)
Seed Bomb, Weather Ball, Terrain Pulse, Pluck, Whirlwind, Horn Leech
Height + Weight: 0.4m / 7kg
Flavour/Design: A reclusive eaglet covered in dark green leaves. There are zigzagged wooden horns with yellow leaves visible on them that crackle with energy. Design should obviously deviate from Rowlet and Rufflet hard and maybe incorporate pinecones.
Potential Competitive Role: That hidden ability isn’t helping it at all against incoming attacks. Even with Defog, its statline just won’t cut it.

BREEDING/MIRROR HERB (Egg Groups: Grass, Flying)
Seed Bomb, Weather Ball, Terrain Pulse, Pluck, Whirlwind, Horn Leech
Height + Weight: 0.9m / 20kg
Flavour/Design: A bigger eagle mon that is less covered in dark foliage, with plenty of light foliage replacing some of it as well. Its wooden horns have grown more and are crackling with electricity moreso than ever. With enough electricity stored, it can fly across the woods and back without fatigue.
Potential Competitive Role: Defog aside, it’s basically Mowtom at home. Mowtom being in PU and not ZU means that Eviolite could give this bird a niche in ZU as a defogger.

BREEDING/MIRROR HERB (Egg Groups: Grass, Flying)
Seed Bomb, Weather Ball, Terrain Pulse, Pluck, Whirlwind, Horn Leech
Height + Weight: 1.7m / 60kg

:raticate::heatmor::great-tusk::sandslash::raboot:
The line as a whole is based on the Quugaarpak, a subterranean mythical creature similar to elephants and muskrats that constantly tunnels and will perish from exposure to our air, though is obviously a gerbil or muskrat first and foremost.

Height + Weight: 0.4m / 10kg
Flavour/Design: It's an orange gerbil/muskrat mon, complete with a tail ending in a tuft that resembles a flame. It is constantly hyperactive and has a propensity to tear or even burn through containers to get what it wants.
Potential Competitive Role: Mold Breaker with Flare Blitz, EQ, and U-Turn do make for pivot material, though of course you could run an SD set instead with Rock Slide or something.

:liepard::vaporeon::sandslash-alola::cufant::meowth-galar:

We will begin a short discussion phrase as our Starters, submitted by KirbyRider1337, are coded in. As they have been very convenient in giving us the full movepool, I'll like to see some competitive movesets (for at least the Fully Evolved stages) and flavour-based dex entries, as suggested by any of you.

For the sake of dex entries, Brunica will take place in one game, akin to Pokemon Emerald or Platinum.

Update: No one wants to do sets, I'll bite the bullet for now.

Well, Kirby posted some dex entries, but no one wants to suggest competitive movesets, which is disappointing.

Slate 4 - Rookie’s Play & Proper Mascot Mimikyus
{Early Route Slate}

:SV/Lechonk: :SV/Starly: :SV/Wurmple: :SV/Pachirisu:

As the name would imply, these are the Pokémon that the player can typically encounter in the early routes or areas. While a few have found competitive success, they mostly exist to fill out your team before you have access to stronger options; you may also see them in the hands of other Trainers, such as Youngsters and Grunts.

An similarly fascinating option is the Electric Rodent, aka Pika-wannabes. While popular with cute-loving fans (with Dedenne being a massive fan favourite in Japan), few are rarely ideal as permanent members for casual playthroughs, less so online plays and competitive scenes. Either way, while most were single-stages, there are exceptions, such as a pair of counterparts in the form of Plusle and Minun, a form-changing one with Morpeko, and an evolutionary line with the Pawmi line.

Rules:
  • For this slate, there are 4 separate categories with their own respective requirements that your subs will go in: Mammal, Flying, Bug and Electric Rodent. Failure to list which category your submission belongs to automatically disqualifies them from being voted for.
  • Each user can only final sub two evolutionary lines per category. You can list out ideas for multiple species, but be warned that only two of them will be considered for the sake of counting as an individual submission for each category.
  • Regional forms/Evolutions (i.e. :Zigzagoon-Galar: :Linoone-Galar: :Obstagoon::Wooper-Paldea: :Clodsire:) as well as form-changes are allowed for all categories, while ecological similar Pokemon (i.e.:Toedscool::Toedscruel:) are permitted for the first three categories; additions to existing Pokémon such as Baby Pokémon, non-regional new-stage evolutions (i.e.:Azurill: :Annihilape:) are vetoed.
  • For the Mammal category (AKA “The Common Mammal”) - These Pokémon must have a 2 stage evolutionary line, the fully evolved stage inal evolution has a soft BST limit of 495, and its primary type must be Normal or Dark. Examples: :Liepard: :Diggersby: :Raticate-Alola: :Greedent::Mabosstiff:
  • For the Flying category (AKA “The Early Birds") - These Pokémon must have either a 2 stage or 3 stage evolutionary line, the final evolution has a hard BST limit of 500, and one of its types must be Flying. Examples: :Pelipper: :Talonflame: :Corviknight: :Kilowattrel:
  • For the Bug category (AKA “The Early Bugs)- These Pokémon must have either a 2 stage or 3 stage evolutionary line, the final evolution has a hard BST limit of 505, and its primary type must be Bug. Examples: :Vivillon: :Vikavolt: :Orbeetle: :Lokix:
  • For the Electric Rodent category (AKA “The Pikaclone”) - This Pokemon’s name must involve Japanese, its primary Type must be Electric: if it is a standalone stage, it (can optionally be a pair of counterparts) has a hard BST limit between 405 and 435 and requires a type-based immunity if they are dual-type; if it is an multi-stage evolutionary family, it (cannot be a pair of counterparts) instead has a hard BST limit of 490. Examples: :Emolga: :Dedenne: :Morpeko: :Pawmot:
Name: Name of the Pokémon (Etymology)
Category (Required): The category this Pokémon falls under. For this slate, it's either Mammal, Flying, Bug, or Electric Rodent.
Evolution: (This may be optional for the Electric Rodent category) For Pokémon that aren't Fully Evolved, list the name of their evolution and the respective evolution method.
Typing: (At least Normal, Dark, Flying, Bug or Electric) You can use these link for images: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/types/Type.png.
Abilities: Ability 1 | Ability 2 (Optional) | Hidden Ability You can create new abilities for any Pokémon, just don't go overboard on the effects.
Base Stats: HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe (BST) You can write these in any configuration you want, the important thing is that you write a matching BST that also fits with slate-specific and general rules.
Height + Weight: How tall the Pokémon is in Meters (m) + how heavy the Pokémon is in Kilograms (kg). While the former is optional, the latter is required for weight-based moves
Notable Moves: List the moves that this Pokémon will learn, both viable and flavor moves, though the former is more important. Once your submission is voted in, you will create a full movepool for it in the discussion phase.
Flavor (Required): Describe the lore/flavor/design of your Pokémon, why is it found here in Brunica? What connection does it have to Canada?
*Custom Elements:
Name: Try to use combinations of words never used before in Pokémon games, double-check on Showdown or Serebii.
Power: [Base Power of the Move, should be a multiple of 5]
Type: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/types/Type.png
Category: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/categories/Category.png (Physical, Special or Status)
Base Power: try to balance this, PP, effect and accuracy; only multiples of 5 are allowed as values.
Accuracy: write -- if it ignores accuracy and evasion checks; must be multiple of 5
Power Points: specify just the max PP if you want; allowed values are 1, 8, 16, 24, 32, 48, 64.
Effect: What the move does, including how many targets. Note that while custom elements are allowed, they should be distinct from already existing abilities/moves introduced as of Gen IX and/or Desvega, and are relatively simple to code (Which means no more custom field effects, we just introduced a new (Poison) terrain in Desvega and a 'Primal Reversion' terrain in Lutakon. Also, if you think it's codable but the coding team disagrees, then you'd better be prepared to code it yourself if it wins.)
Priority: (Optional) The priority bracket of the move. Unless specified, it is assumed to have the standard priority of 0.
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): [Specify which flags the move has. A full list can be found in the spreadsheet.]
Distribution: Specify if the move is exclusive to a particular evolutionary line; otherwise, list the criteria of Pokémon that are eligible to receive the submitted move.
Justification: If this is adjusted from an existing move, explain why it should be changed, both competitive AND flavour wise. Note that any changes you propose will carry to the Move you suggested only, not to any similar Moves. On that note, be sure that it is not similar to any existing Move introduced in any Generation X iteration or up to SV, otherwise it will be vetoed.

As an overview of what Type Balm Moves are intended to be, they are, in essence, similar to Z-Moves and G-Max moves. By holding a Type Balm of a type that is different to the Pokemon's typing, any moves known by that Pokemon that match the type of that Type Balm become these exclusive moves. If you plan to give your submission a Balm move, this counts as giving its a Signature Move.

Damaging Balm moves match the damage category of the original move, with a 50% increase to the original move's base power, bypasses accuracy checks to never miss unless the target is semi-invulnerable, are locked to only having 8PP regardless of their original move's PP, and will cause moves that call other moves to fail if these moves were the last to be used in battle. They can have any secondary effect, which are not affected by Sheer Force nor Serene Grace, though for the sake of our coding team I am strongly recommending that you look to existing moves to plan these secondary effects, unless you're willing to code them yourself.

Status Balm moves similarly bypasses accuracy checks to never miss unless the target is semi-invulnerable, though they are locked to having 16 pp instead of 8, at the cost of being unable to be cannot be used twice in a row, akin to Gigaton Hammer and Blood Moon, or forcing the user to recharge. Whichever drawback depends on the severity of the effects your Status Balm move provides.
This slate will last for at least 192 hours, and may be extended depending on forum activity.

Third time’s the something or other. As I’m posting this it’s nearly 6 AM and I haven’t slept yet so I’m boutta feel like this whole line
:sv/grubbin:
Name: Bittybyte (Bit + Bitty + Beddybye)
Evolution: Lullabyte (Level 9), Dredbug (Level 20)
Type: Bug
Abilities:
Swarm, Strong Jaw, Comatose (HA)
Base Stats: 50 HP / 60 Atk / 50 Def / 45 SpA / 50 SpD / 50 Spe (305 BST)
Height: 0.2 meters (8 inches)
Weight: 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
Notable Moves: Bug Bite, Bite, Poison Fang, U-Turn
Flavor/Design: Proportions of a large bedbug, perhaps with its front legs folded on the floor for a sprite and notable closed eyes of Komala. Light reddish brown with wide dark brown stripes, kinda like an actual bedbug in light. Of course, this fucker got mandibles half the size of its face.
Potential Competitive Role: Guys it’s an LC bug, not much to do there

Name: Lullabyte (Lullaby + Bite)
Evolution: Dredbug (Level 20)
Typing: Bug
Abilities:
Swarm, Strong Jaw, Comatose (HA)
Base Stats: 65 HP / 90 Atk / 80 Def / 60 SpA / 70 SpD / 40 Spe (405 BST)
Height: later
Weight: later
Notable Moves: Bug Bite, Bite, Poison Fang, U-Turn
Flavor/Design: Bigger and darker body, sharper mandibles that grow at a more significant rate than the rest of the body. All legs fully relaxed, deeper sleeping state.
Potential Competitive Role: Classic slightly-bulkier-than-prevo NFE bug. 90 attack would be impressive in the tier if it weren’t for its typing and downright abysmal speed, but it might find something to do.

Name: Dredbug (Dread + Bedbug)
Typing: Bug/Dark
Abilities: Swarm, Strong Jaw, Comatose (HA)
Base Stats: 75 HP / 110 Atk / 90 Def / 60 SpA / 85 SpD / 85 Spe (505 BST)
Height: later
Weight: later
Notable Moves: Bug Bite, First Impression, Lunge, Crunch, Poison Fang, U-Turn, Parting Shot
Flavor/Design: Glow in the dark eyes (different neon colors like Vivillon), even bigger and even darker body, maybe glowing eye bags under the eyes for contrasts from the body (angry but still sleepy). Mandibles are fuckin huge too. Legs are all upright. Yes I removed the a from its name, you have not been misremembering it.
Potential Competitive Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Offensive and Defensive Pivot (probably worse than Lokix in every single way so let’s just not put it in this region please and thank you)

Flavor:
A dark gray, cream-faced, beady-eyed, buck-toothed baby porcupine that's more like a guinea pig than anything else, Spikatyke is about as plain as can be... except for the numerous Jolteon-like white-tipped spines sticking out from all over its back, along with another one protruding straight out of its forehead like the cranial horns of the Nidoran line. The cream-colored feet have three large white claws each which are good for climbing of all things, complemented by a relatively long, prehensile tail which is bright red. (The shiny sprite has brown fur instead of black, with a maroon tail.) It hangs from tree branches by its tail when sleeping, curling up into a prickly ball like an oversized cockleburr so predators don't risk trying to pluck it from its perch - though if so inclined, it can also drop straight down onto any intruder unfortunate enough to be standing directly under it.

"When agitated, it raises the quills on its back and shakes its body to make a rattling sound with them. Attackers who fail to get the message will be quick to receive a faceful of needles."

Power Points: 24
Effect: Increased critical hit ratio

Distribution: Most bladed Steel-types (Skarmory, Pawniward line, etc.)
Justification: Steel-type Leaf Blade clone

Flavor:
A large, heavyset rodent Pokemon that can stand either quadrupedally or bipedally, its body is almost bear-like with four large white claws on each of its plantigrade feet, the front paws having even larger claws for digging. Its head is akin to a guinea pig's with small eyes and ears, and prominent orange "buck tooth" incisors, though these are pointed like a pair of fangs and reinforced with iron. Its coat is almost entirely brownish black, except for the cream color of its limbs and face, though its paws and the "eyeshadow" under its glaring white eyes are also black. Its most notable features are the razor-sharp, silver-colored steel blades protruding from its back, the longest of which fade to black near the tips and form a distinctive ridge down the spine with each having a slight curve like the blade of a katana; everywhere else on its back is covered in slightly shorter blades arranged like the scales of a pinecone (i.e. think of Sandslash's spines, but longer and thinner). A bright red spiky mohawk is visible sticking out of the top of the scalp, and two short, rhino-like horns like those of the extinct horned gopher, also made of metal, protrude from the top of the snout. On the other end, its tail is of moderate length but thick and strong, the latter half of it sporting a cluster of shorter spines that are also arranged like pinecone scales to use as an additional defense, not unlike the thagomizer of a Stegosaurus.
The shiny sprite for both stages has lighter brown fur in place of black, a maroon mohawk, and rusty red blades, apparently due to a lack of a tarnish-proof agent present in the fur of those with a normal color scheme.

Competitive Info:
The most heavily defensive of the regional rodent Pokémon thus far, Shankupine relies on the resistances of its Steel type along with its general bulk, having strong mixed defenses that allow it to weather all sorts of attacks. Iron Barbs is useful for punishing contact attackers, enabling it to stall and chip opponents until it's the last one standing, though it has decent physical attack as well and can retaliate with STAB on Double Edge, Return, Iron Tail, and Meteor Mash if it feels like it has to shank somebody. Unfortunately for it, even its hilariously effective coping mechanism of shoving knives into its opponent's face isn't always foolproof, especially because its type combination makes it deathly allergic to Fighting - since even Iron Barbs can't save it from a good hard Focus Punch, it also knows Aerial Ace of all things via TM to deal with that and also give itself some much-needed priority, as its Speed stat is quite poor. Rock Slide and Earthquake are useful coverage against Fire but without any serious answer to Ground, it's going to have to pray that team support reaches it in time if it happens across a foe that is itself packing Earthquake - a move both deals super-effective damage against it and doesn't trigger Iron Barbs...

"The knife-like metal blades on its back tend to snap off due to its habit of picking fights, but they grow back after a while. Its teeth are strengthened with iron, allowing it to chew up ores rich in metal so its blades can grow ever stronger and sharper."

I didn't base this line specifically off of any one particular species or lineage of porcupine, though they're based a little more closely on the porcupines of the Americas than the ones from the Old World - the two lineages are in fact paraphyletic, meaning they were once lumped together as a single group but have since been found to have different ancestors in the rodent evolutionary tree. Spikatyke is mostly based on the arboreal prehensile-tailed porcupines of South America, but Shankupine owes more to North American porcupines, which really do swing their spiny tails in self-defense, though the mohawk and the length and arrangement of the quills owes more to the crested porcupines of Eurasia (which, again, aren't that closely related), with some added punk/street thug aesthetic just so they wouldn't look too plain.

Flavor:
The overall shape of this little larva is similar to that of a Weedle, but stockier, paler, and shorter. Under its dark orange "snout", actually its real head, are two fangs like Butterfree's, and its eyes are located on the "snout" which is actually its real head. The "horn" is present as well, but it's actually a nozzle for shooting acid to digest its food externally, though it can also force air through this to emit a squeaking sound to scare off threats.

"It imitates the larval stage of a much fiercer Bug-type to deter opponents. They often fail to realize that it's a harmless scavenger that uses a corrosive fluid to digest its food externally."

Flavor:
Unlike Mimagg which is paler than Weedle, Falsalys is darker, grayish green in color with a look like a cross between Kakuna and a Trubbish. It's also fatter and rounder than the cocoon it mimics, and in lieu of hanging from trees, it prefers to lie around in the midst of garbage bags, under heaps of detritus, or even within nests of Trubbish to escape notice.

"Even while stuck in its casing, it has an appetite for refuse and nests in filthy places. In recent times, it's taken to disguising itself among Trubbish nests, giving it a food source when it evolves."

Flavor:
The overall body shape of this design is similar to Beedrill, which it imitates so potential enemies leave it alone without it having to risk actual combat; however, look closely and you can see that there are multiple telltale signs that it's actually more closely related to Ribombee than the murder-hornet it resembles. Notably, its eyes are larger with visible facets like the eyes of a blowfly, and are darker red in color, while hidden on the underside of its head is a retractable proboscis with an almost trumpet-like look, and instead of Beedrill's thin antennae, there are instead two long, dirty-gray hair tufts just above the eyes like angry eyebrows. The thorax/torso is covered in scruffy, yellowish gray fur, and the limbs are similar to Beedrill's, but instead of straight stingers, the blunt-tipped, white cones on its arms have seams enabling them to open up like four-part flowers and reveal speakers with red centers like speakers, used to unleash devastating sonic attacks. Its abdomen is similar to Beedrill's, yellow with black striping, but bears a smaller speaker on its end instead of a stinger. Finally, it has only one pair of usable wings, resembling Beedrill's upper wings and white in color with red veins; instead of lower wings, there are two small black knobs on gray stalks like switch handles joining to two yellow protrusions on either side of the lower back - these in fact are based on the halteres which, as with real flies, it uses to help control its lightning-fast movement in the air, enabling it to blast either beams of dark energy or devastating soundwaves - the fur of its antennae and thorax puffing up is the only warning it gives just before it fires.

Competitive Role:
Instead of vanilla Beedrill, Thrumbug's competitive style rips off Mega Beedrill to some extent, though instead of being a speedy physical attacker, it's a speedy special one. You'd expect a fly-based Pokemon to be a heck of an annoyance, and indeed, it does get Supersonic, Taunt, and the otherwise Poison-exclusive Toxic, but that Special Attack can't just sit there gathering dust! Its signature move, Outcry, can synergize with Adaptability and Thrumbug's ludicrous Special Attack stat, especially since unlike Mega Beedrill, Thrumbug can actually use items such as Choice Specs or a Petaya Berry. The latter might be a bit trickier to use than the former since you'll have to have it survive at 25% health, and its three type weaknesses are all common and all dangerous, to say nothing of its physical defense being all but nonexistent. Thrumbug's super-effectiveness is also only limited to four types, and Dark on its own is incapable of covering for the sheer amount of types that resist Bug, so Tinted Lens as well as coverage such as Normal, Poison, Flying, and Psychic moves will be essential, though even they can't cover every type that resists it. Still, if there's one thing Thrumbug's good at, it's annoying enemy teams to no end with its combination of high speed and high firepower - and there's always the option of U-Turn if it finds itself faced with a counter.

"To deceive foes into fleeing, it bears a resemblance to Beedrill, and can even emit a similar sound - often amplified to destructive volume. It uses this same disguise to infiltrate Beedrill hives and steal their honey."

The original idea I had for this line was a Bug/Poison mad scientist fly line that was an adaptation of a Cutiefly variant line I made for a previous now-defunct mod, but ultimately I pivoted once I found out that a number of species of hoverflies, which imitate wasps for protection, exist in New Brunswick. To this end, I decided to have this line imitate Beedrill and gave it the Dark type to reflect this theme of deception. The idea of it using sound-based attacks came from the notion of fly wings producing an annoying buzzing sound, a common gag in fiction being someone being driven crazy by that noise; this in turn gave me the idea to make this line specially oriented, with the false stings of the final stage instead being sonic cannons.

Potential Competitive Role: A fast, offensive Defiant user.
Type: Dark
Category: Physical
Power: 100
Accuracy: 80
PP: 5 (Max: 8)
Description: The user maliciously slams into the target with a large amount of force, this may cause the target to flinch.
Effect: 20% chance to make the target flinch, makes contact with the target.
Distribution: Inclusive. It acts as a riskier alternative to Crunch and I would like this move to be passed around as necessary. Most Pokemon that would be able to learn this are Dark-types and Pokemon with large bodies such as Snorlax, Bewear or Mudsdale. Other candidates could be Pokemon such as Zangoose or Seviper, that attack or "bully" other Pokemon often.

Description: Scurrunt is based on the Eastern Meadow Vole. It is a rodent-like Pokemon that is similar in body shape to a Bombchu from Legend of Zelda. Its fur is grayish brown in color and it has a long tail. It has 6 whiskers, large ears, and a longish snout. Its top inscissors are visible when the mouth is closed. "Scurrunt zips around during the day in search of food. It is often skittish and timid. It flees at high speeds when it encounters danger."

Description: Scurrace, like Scurrunt is based on the Eastern Meadow Vole and is also reminiscent of the Bombchu, with some inspiration from race cars. It is a larger and more aerodynamic. Its body is slightly longer. Its ears are smaller in relation to its body size, and its tail looks like a speed trail. It is similar in color to Scurrunt. "Scurrace can run for 12 hours in search of food. It is often considered a pest."
Potential Competitive Role: Fast Physical Attacker
Name: Kinetic
Description: Boosts move power of the Pokemon's move if it is the first to move that turn.
Effect: When the user moves before the target, the damage dealt is increased by 30%. It has similar activation conditions to Fishious Rend and Bolt Beak.
Distribution: Inclusive. A Pokemon that has this ability would likely have speed or momentum motifs in its design and/or would have a relatively high speed stat.

Base Stats: 35 / 65 / 40 / 40 / 40 / 70 (290)
Height + Weight: 0.3 m + 3.3 kg
Flavor (Required): Based on the Arctic tern. A migratory species, Brunica is often where one can most reliably find Frostern. Fiercely protective of their younger peers, their ferocity is enough to discourage predators such as Beartic and Panthoard. [This fact is inspired by real-life arctic tern behavior. Yes, their attacks can draw blood from humans, and they can repel even polar bears.]

Priority: (Optional) +1
Flags: Contact, Protect
Distribution: Galapagunk-Completed (Brazdo: Original), Skorupi, Croagunk, Mothartic
Justification: Poison Dart was apparently forgotten by the time of Desvega, seeing as how we got Oil Slick, which is a direct clone. So, I've elected to rework Galapagunk's formerly signature move into a pseudo-clone of Water Shuriken that can also badly poison.

(R.I.P: Original Mammal Line, Racsack and Heistail. Who knew there was already a Raccoon line? Instead, have a ferret line instead)
Name: Ferrustle (Ferret + Rustle)
Category: Mammal
Evolution: Mustelone at level 22
Typing: =
Abilities: Keen Eye | Quick Feet | Emergency Exit
Base Stats: 40 / 35 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 75 (255)
Weight: 8.3 lbs.
Notable Moves: Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Dig, Fake Out, Pluck, Glare, Body Slam, Lock On, Dig, Agility, Terrain Pulse, Weather Ball, Double Hit, Water Pulse, Iron Tail, Metronome, Knock Off, Trick, Super Fang, Nature Power, Bounce, Encore, Hyper Voice, Acrobatics, Zen Headbutt, Drain Fang, Bush Claws, Swift, Trailblaze, Taunt, Reflect, Light Screen, Sunny Day, Hone Claws, Rain Dance, Take Down, Hidden Power, Protect, Frustration, Return, Double Team, Facade, Rest, Attract, Natural Gift, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
Flavor: This Black-footed ferret Pokémon resembles a stylized version of the namesake animal, albeit standing up on it's hind legs with a black pattern on it's stomach that resembles an open eye. A common sight in Brunica, Ferrustles gather in groups of over 100 individuals, each with their own roles in gathering food for their den. A swift and alert individual, they run at the slightest sense of danger, and thus people often brought them along to track down danger.

Name: Mustelone (Mustela + Clone)
Category: Mammal
Typing: ==
Abilities: Cloning Genes | Quick Feet | Emergency Exit
Base Stats: 65 / 55 / 60 / 95 / 70 / 120 (465)
Weight: 26.8 lbs.
Notable Moves: Psybeam, Skill Swap, Gravity, Imprison, Trick Room, Shadow Claw, Psychic Terrain, Safeguard, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Psyshock, Calm Mind, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Dig, Fake Out, Pluck, Glare, Body Slam, Lock On, Dig, Agility, Terrain Pulse, Weather Ball, Double Hit, Water Pulse, Iron Tail, Metronome, Knock Off, Trick, Super Fang, Nature Power, Bounce, Encore, Hyper Voice, Acrobatics, Zen Headbutt, Drain Fang, Bush Claws, Swift, Trailblaze, Taunt, Reflect, Light Screen, Sunny Day, Hone Claws, Rain Dance, Take Down, Hidden Power, Protect, Frustration, Return, Double Team, Facade, Rest, Attract, Natural Gift, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
Flavor: Upon evolving, Mustelone is now based off Elizabeth Ann, the first black-footed ferret to be cloned, and also the first U.S. endangered species to be cloned. As well as having a longer body, it now possesses a pair of razor sharp pony tails that go down it's ears, as well as a cluster of pink gems that spread from the centre of it's stomach to the head: These clusters resemble the wool of a sheep, just like Dolly the Sheep, basically making Mustelone a ferret in sheep's clothing. Using these gemstones, Mustelone can create clones of itself and confuse their opponents by making them think that their business (That's what a group of ferrets is called) has multiplied overnight, when in reality they are all just clones. These clones are so intelligent, possessing a copy of the original Mustelone's brain, that they in term create clones, causing widespread chaos.
Name: Cloning Genes
Effect: If an enemy Pokémon uses a charging move such as Solar Beam, this Pokémon sets up a substitute first. (The substitute is set up after the charging turn's message with the same timing as a Power Herb) It must still have enough HP to set up the substitute in the first place, though. The ability will fail to trigger, however, if the charging turn is skipped with an effect such as a Power Herb.
Permanent: No
Ignorable: Yes
Distribution: Pokémon who can create clones or illusions of themselves.
Name: Clone Express

Effect: Inflicts Confusion if the target has a status condition.

Flavor: A small, round chicken Pokémon those comb is made entirely of chicken fricot, which draws in Pokémon from all around the region to feed on it. It has a kind personality, allowing hungry Pokémon to feed on this comb, which regrows as Chicot itself eats seeds.

Name: Foulet (Poulet + Foul)
Category: Flying
Evolution: Marfricament at level 35
Typing: ==
Abilities: Secret Ingredient | Big Pecks | Curious Medicine
Base Stats: 60 / 55 / 50 / 55 / 80 / 60 (360)
Weight: 86.4 lbs.
Notable Moves: Acid Spray, Corrosive Gas, Poison Gas, Imprison, Poison Jab, U-Turn, Poison Terrain, Toxic, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Peck, Growl, Recycle, Pluck, Wing Attack, Quick Attack, Sweet Scent, Body Slam, Defense Curl, Rollout, Rage Powder, Me First, Soft Boiled, Tailwind, Heat Wave, Defog, Acrobatics, Brave Bird, Fly, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Roost, Safeguard, Rain Dance, Take Down, Hidden Power, Protect, Frustration, Return, Double Team, Facade, Rest, Attract, Natural Gift, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
Flavor: Upon evolving, Foulet now looks more like an actual chicken, with it's fricot comb now extending to it's crest, and it's wings suspiciously looking like saucepans. Using these wings, it cooks up dishes from the plants and seeds around them, and absorbs any Poison that could have been in them, but every dish it makes is, in turn, infused with their own poison, making them deadly to anyone that eats them.
Name: Secret Ingredient
Effect: Upon switching in, this Pokémon applies a questionable ingredient to the target's held berry, destroying it. This has no effect if the target's held item is not a berry.
Permanent: No

Distribution: Poison-type Culinary themed Pokémon
Name: Marfricamet (Market + Fricot + Gourmet)
Category: Flying

Abilities: Secret Ingredient | Big Pecks | Curious Medicine
Base Stats: 95 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 100 / 60 (480)
Weight: 187.8 lbs.
Notable Moves: Sludge Wave, Torment, Dazzling Gleam, Play Rough, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Acid Spray, Corrosive Gas, Poison Gas, Imprison, Poison Jab, U-Turn, Poison Terrain, Toxic, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Peck, Growl, Recycle, Pluck, Wing Attack, Quick Attack, Sweet Scent, Body Slam, Defense Curl, Rollout, Rage Powder, Me First, Soft Boiled, Tailwind, Heat Wave, Defog, Acrobatics, Brave Bird, Fly, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Roost, Safeguard, Rain Dance, Take Down, Hidden Power, Protect, Frustration, Return, Double Team, Facade, Rest, Attract, Natural Gift, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
Flavor: Marfricamet undergoes a big change when it fully evolves, now having a big, long neck, in addition to a pair of massive wings. It's crest now extends to the back of it's tail feathers, and resembles the pelt of a weasel. A transparent part of this pelt extends over the eyes, making it look like this Pokémon is wearing sunglasses. (The cook is as sly as a weasel for leaving meat out of a fricot) A front crest on it's stomach made of fricot, which suspiciously resembles a market stand, completes the look. It's a kind of assassin Pokémon, rarely talking that much. If it hears the name of any bad Pokémon or person in the vincity, it will whip up a deadly dish of Fricot made from it's own poisonous crest, before tricking it's opponents into eating it. Some Marfricamets even team up with thief Pokémon in their heists, with the Marfricamet rendering anyone who could ruin the heist unconcious with it's deadly dishes.
Name: Gourmet Shower
Type: =
Effect: Both Pokémon eat their held berries: Identical effect to Teatime.

Because I'll be heading off to the airport in a matter of hours, thought I'll come along and give a sub review on the ones I can see thus far.

I'll basically just be giving some brief (as in like 1-2 sentences) feedback on all submissions, based on my (very much not as competitively knowledgable) opinion, so you can decide whether or not you wanna take my advice. That said, it does include a potential warning on whether or not I think your sub could be vetoed for this early game, so keep that in mind as well.

====
Bittybyte, Lullabyte, Dredbug.
- Bug: Dredbug is probably if Lokix traded offensive power for a slight buff in defensive bulk.
Spikatye, Shankupine; Mimagg, Falsalys, Thrumbug
- Mammal: Blade Runner would hardly be a Fire Lash Clone, because Fire Lash doesn't have an increased crit ratio, it lowers your target's Defense.
- Bug: I'm sorry, you think something nearly as fast as Accelgor, the third fastest Bug, with the base SpA of Frosmoth that it can boost even higher and can ignore resistances is fine? While yes, it's physically frail, you need either priority (Which only Accelrock would be notably effective) or Trick Room to hit Thrumbug at that point. Thrumbug risks being vetoed; please either lower its SpA or Spe as well as Nasty Plot.
Cabchuck, Ohmhog
- Electrodent: It seems fine, but it's currently incomplete, so my opinion might change.
Mustelive, Carcajab; Eyesbir, Nebustric; Jadarva, Agrimrald; Bekira
- Mammal: Wolverine reference
- Flying: Slight nitpick, personally don't like that a non-Legendary Intimidate clone is named like that. Feels like the name suits a Supersweet Syrup clone. Not that it makes it veto-worthy, but still...
- Bug: Bug/Rock Gem Devour rocks.
- Electrodent: It's a beaver. Should be expected, nothing further.
Blabberjay, Flatterjay, Sparajay; Scurrunt, Scurrace
- Flying: Sparajay feels off with the naming scheme of the line (the first two end witb -erjay) maybe try Slanderjay? Bully Bash is a slightly better Dark-Type Dragon Rush clone, no hard feelings.
- Mammal: It's a Normal-type fragile Speedster whose offensive power comes from being first, which I'm neutral about. Kinetic looks like inverse Analytic, which isn't an issue. That said, whether it is meant to be exclusive is my issue.
Anageshi, Harihoru; Gooseling, Brantaden
- Electrodent: While Amp Up is a fun concept, I find it unlikely that it's going to be spamming them well.
- Flying: While I'm aware the effects are different, Dive Bomb feels a bit too close to the new Flying-Type move Air Dive in Desvega in terms of name - as someone else pointed out, I personally wouldn't mind it as much if it were any Type other than Flying. Also, was kinda reminded of the Canada gooses subs in Desvega - particularly since Gooseling's name does kinda overlap with Ghoosling.
Frostern, Froskua; Bugabear, Purrmofrost; Remisatgu, Boreingu
No, I'm not going to toot my own horn.
Rascack, Heistail; Chicot, Foulet, Marfricamet
- Mammal: Rascack and Heistail are nearly a 1-1 copy of the Rascoon line from Loria, being thieving Raccoon-based Dark-Types that are also physically inclined. As such, they are to be vetoed completely.
- Flying: The HA is Curious Medicine, not Medicene. Kinda confused why a Chicken is here, I'll admit.

Keep on with your subs!
