2 questions. I haven't been here in monthes, what happened to the search function? Also, what are the differences between snatch & psych up?

Does psych up allow you to steal all the speed/attack/etc boost a pokemon would use? Does psych up hit through sub/protect?

Does snatch only allow you to steal the last "snatchable" move? In that case does snatch need to be used on the same turn?

Psych Up copies all stat boosts and drops that the target Pokémon has at the time Psych Up is executed. Psych Up goes right through Substitute and Protect, just like all other moves that don't hurt or affect the target (Transform, Role Play, etc).

Snatch goes first in a round. If, during that round, another Pokémon uses a Snatchable move (see the list that Fenikkusu quoted), then the Snatch user uses the move and the original user does not.

Hi, I don't give a rip about clefable. I want to know about castform, since I plan to make a weather team. My question was, could it function in OU somewhat?

Maybe, maybe not. Since it's not common in OU, we don't know. Try it out yourself and then share the results with us.

Outside of being a novelty, no.
Roserade does weather ball abuse better and is overall more useful.
Clefable (and a bunch of other pokes) pull off the Specs set better.

70 stats all around make it pretty much meh.

I want to get an Umbreon with both Curse and Wish. Is that possible, and if so, how would I do it?
Smeargle

Me First just allows the user to use the damaging move its opponent was about to use. In that case, just imagine that Lucario knew Dragon Claw and used it with a 1.5x boost similar to that of Life Orb. (i.e. same place in the damage formula)

As for Revenge, if you are damaged first, Revenge's BP goes to 120 before Technician can apply to it.

So stat boosts on the other side don't affect the power of the move when it's used by the Me First user? Thanks for the info.

If I wanted to get a Smeargle with Wish and Curse, could I just teach him those moves by using them in a Wireless Battle and then using Sketch, or would I have to find Pokemon in the game who use those moves and pray that when I battled them, they'd use them when I used Sketch?

I believe you can find a double battle, have Pokemon A use a move, and then have Smeargle Sketch targeting Pokemon A. I'm not 100% sure this works, but it seems like the only way Smeargle breeding wouldn't be assinine.

Only on in-game battles, there are places like the restaurant that feature in-game double battles that you can use to sketch your own pokes.

A genderless pokemon can't breed with any other pokemon except ditto right? Can't remember. =$

Correct. Trivia: If the genderless Pokémon has any TM moves, they get passed down to the children.

Is Knock Off and Rapid Spin an illegal combination on Armaldo? o:

That appears to be correct. It's also an illegal combination on everything else in the shellfish breeding group (Tentacruel and Kabutops).

Is Knock Off and Rapid Spin an illegal combination on Armaldo? o:
Rapid Spin comes from Squirtle, and is brought into the Water 3 egg group by Kabuto. Without Corphish or Drapion bring able to learn Rapid Spin (and thus pass down Rapid Spin and Knock Off), it is not a legal combination, I believe.
EDIT: Beaten due to dinner.

Is there any way to actually control how Wurmple evolves? I'm still confused as to the mechanics behind his evolution. ._.

No. It's the same mechanic as shiny, except you can't chain Beautifly or Dustox. Actually, it's rather, the same type of mechanic as gender, you can't change it in any way.

I was reading about it in Bulbapedia and it didn't make sense for a while, but now I get it thanks to some other reading. *coughMarrilandcough*

A Pokemon's personality value determines many of its characteristics. There are 2^32--or 4,294,967,296--of them, and it's pretty much randomly generated in hexadecimal digits. If the last 4 digits of Wurmple's personality value is divided by 10 and the REMAINDER resulting from that is less than 5, then Wurmple will evolve into Silcoon--otherwise it'll become Cascoon. The actual odds of one over the other, from what I've been able to find, are 6554:6553 in favor of Silcoon.
(EDIT: The odds are that way because the last 4 digits will have a hexadecimal value from 0-65,535 and dividing it by 10 will result in 32,770 of them with remainders less than 5 & 32,765 will have a remainder 5 or more.)

In lamen terms, Wurmple's evolution is randomly determined when acquired and uncontrollable.

EDIT: And here I was originally thinking that the location of where the Wurmple was caught determined that. Add that to the growing list of things Serebii is wrong on. (It's not dependent on the time of day!)

That all confuses the hell outta me and akes breeding them irrationally difficult. Guess I'll have to Rare candy them to evolve into THeir Pupal forms just to determine if its even correct. ._.

Also, what the hell are personality values?

I was afraid of that. Just thinking about the explanation made my head hurt. All that's important is that Wurmple's evolution is random and determined when you get Wurmple.

Also, what the hell are personality values?
I alluded to it in my last post, but the personality value determines several characteristics of the Pokemon. I can't think of anything wrong with Bulbapedia's explanation so I suggest you consult that to get a better understanding of personality values.

Alright, I was just wondering if it wasn't something just randomly invented for the sole purpose of evolving a single subpar pokemon.

EDIT: just to get away from the annoying Wurmple debate, has anyone confirmed if there was a set limited number of different Spinda variations? Is there an infinite different possibilities of their spot patterns or is it set to a finite number of sprites?
