Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
As you can confirm, the top submissions in terms of vote numbers are Antiqualik by yours truly, Lymerin by Ubertrainer2000 & the Kelpony line by sharpen42 at 6 points, the Oculeye line by Mintly with 5 points; the Brunican Shellos line by KirbyRider1337 & the Prawdet line by Falchion. These six lines will be part of the Brunican dex.
Discussion phase is now in effect: sub winners, please provide complete info about your subs, which includes the following: complete movepools (listed in order of: {required} lvl -> {required} egg/mirror herb -> {required} TM -> {required} Tutor -> {optionally} unformatted list of all its moves), height & weight in Metres and Kilograms, not feet or pounds, dex entries and at least one competitive moveset. Anyone aside from the submission winners are also welcome to contribute by providing ideas for dex entries and/or competitive movesets.
And from a storm of sorrows comes the rain of redemption...Welcome to Brunica, Lymerin, the fish slapping interchangeable mermaid! Now, to celebrate this victory, here's the full movepool! (It's the same across all four forms)
Oh, but before we begin, it's quite clear that Lymerin is female only!

Next, here are the Pokédex entries! Although all the forms have the same category, height, and weight, like how the Pokédex handles form changes recently, each form has a different Pokédex entry!
Lymerin, the Serene Pokémon: Height: 1.6 m, Weight: 39.6kg
Maiden/Maiden: "Very brash and childish despite it's looks, it cleans the area around it by kicking them with the soles hidden underneath it's dress."
Maiden/Fish: "An old Brunica folk legend tells of a man who was saved by drowning by this Pokémon. It sits on a rock, cleaning the dirt off with it's tail while monitoring the ocean below it."
Fish/Fish: "An absolute clean freak that hates dirt, Lymerin's main form of attack is to slap it's opponents with it's tail with enough force to smash solid diamond."
Fish/Maiden: "Most Pokémon flee at the sight of this horrifying combination of fish and human, but Lymerin is unaware about this. Thus, it's excellent swimming abilities often go unnoticed by most people."
Then, here are some movesets for Lymerin: One for each form!

And finally, here are the sprites for her, taken directly from the submission. From left to right: Maiden/Maiden, Maiden/Fish, Fish/Fish, and Fish/Maiden. (Though in accordance to the official spreadsheet, they will now be known as Maiden, Mermaid, Fish, and Ningyo forms respectively)
But wait...there's one more sprite we must show you...why, the Tidal Pearl itself, the item required to change Lymerin's form!
To acquire the Tidal Pearl:
In Brunica: Find a blue-haired fisherman, defeat him in a Pokémon battle, dive down to the oceans with him to the pearl's resting place, then help him retrieve the pearl from a wild Wailord who swallowed it. The fisherman only appears if you have a Lymerin in your party, though. In other Regions that Lymerin could appear in: Find the NPC who normally hands out form change items (Such as the Bargain Shopkeeper in Stow-On-Side or the Porto Marinada auction) and show him/her a Lymerin.
Once you have the pearl, simply use it from the bag on your Lymerin to change her form.

Gift Pokémon, as implied, are given to the player once you complete a certain side quest. Similarly, Event Pokémon are provided to the player to promote certain Pokemon-related milestones / events. While not all may return in the next generation, they are still memorable in their own ways.
Rules:
For thisfree-ish slate, there are two categories your submissions fall under: Gift / or Event.
Your Gift submission may have a continuity reference. This can mean Beta Pokemon, mini-games like Contests, a particular Pokedex entry - something that links it to Pokemon history, in-universe or out.
The method these submissions are obtained are either - if they are from movies & the anime - through the use of passwords; completing a side quest in one of the listed spin-off games that is then transferred, or given by an NPC as a save data bonus of one of the aforementioned games. If you chose for your submission to be related to one of the spin-off games listed, you will need to provide a detailed overview of the event that introduces your submission.
Regional forms/Evolutions (ex. ), ecological similar Pokemon (ex.), and cross-gen additions to existing two-stage Pokémon evolution lines such as Baby Pokémon or new-stage evolutions (ex.) are not permitted. If your submission is based on an existing Pokémon, it must be considered as a different form. (ex. )
While submissions in every free slate have a hard BST limit of 550, you should not be intentionally aiming at or above this threshold unless you have both valid competitive handicaps and flavour justifications for your intended sub. (ex. ) The BST average of the vast majority of final evolutions and/or single stages tends to peak around 525, so this is the power level you should realistically aim below.
As previously mentioned, Ubertrainer2000's Lucario nomination has been moved here as an Event submission. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THIS ONE ANYTHING FURTHER.
(By the way, Lucario now gets Bonemerang and a new Balm Move!)
Name: World's Beginning Type: Category:
Effect: The user faints. The new Pokémon heals itself for 25% of its health and has all of its stats increase by 1. Priority: -1 Flags: None Distribution: Type Balm exclusive move: Requires Psychic Balm and a Psychic-type status move. (Only Lucario can learn this) Also unlocks Riley Costume! Justification: This move is inspired by Lucario's sacrifice in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, while the Riley Costume, which is purely aethestic and has no effect on gameplay, is inspired by Skylander's Ninja Stealth Elf, which unlocks a similar costume with an upgrade the original version did not have. A possible event would distribute a level 10 Riolu holding a Psychic Balm to access the costume early when it evolves into Lucario, distributed similarly to events such as the Blazikenite Torchic and Steven's Shiny Beldum. Its moveset would be Metal Claw, Feint, Bonemerang, and Agility.
Name: Subs with no given name are ineligible to be voted.
Category: Gift / Event (Only one) Originating From (Required for Event): Specify the media of origin for the sub. Counterpart(s) / Evolutionary Members: Write the names of the previous stage or counterparts of the Pokemon, if applicable. For pre-evos, instead write the evolution method. Typing: You may use this link for images: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/types/Type.png. Ability: Ability 1 / Ability 2 | Hidden Ability Base Stats: HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe (BST) These can be written in any configuration you want, the important thing is that it also fits with slate-specific and general rules. New pre-evolutions’ BST have to be lower than the original, while evolutions’ BST is usually higher; for regional or convergent forms, their BST must match. Height + Weight: How tall the Pokémon is in Meters (m) +how heavy the Pokémon is in Kilograms (kg). While the former is optional, the latter is required for weight-based moves. Notable Moves: List the moves that this Pokémon will learn, both viable and flavor moves, though the former is more important. Once your submission is voted in, you will create a full movepool for it in the discussion phase. Flavor (Required): Describe the lore/flavor/design of your Pokémon. *Custom Elements:
Name: Try to use distinct combinations of words never used before for moves in Pokémon games, double-check on Showdown or Serebii. Accuracy: write -- if it ignores accuracy and evasion checks; must be multiple of 5 Power Points: specify just the max PP if you want; eligible values are 1, 8, 16, 24, 32, 48, 64. Effect: What the move does, including how many targets. Note that while custom elements are allowed, they should be distinct from already existing abilities/moves introduced as of SV and/or Desvega, and are relatively simple to code (Which means no more custom field effects, we just introduced a new (Poison) terrain in Desvega and a 'Primal Reversion' terrain in Lutakon. Also, if you think it's codable but the coding team disagrees, then you'd better be prepared to code it yourself if it wins.) Priority: (Optional) The priority bracket of the move. Unless specified, it is assumed to have the standard priority of 0. Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): [Specify which flags the move has. A full list can be found in the spreadsheet.] Distribution: Specify if the move is exclusive to a particular evolutionary line; otherwise, list the criteria of Pokémon that are eligible to receive the submitted move. Justification: If this is adjusted from an existing move, explain why it should be changed, both competitive AND flavour wise. Note that any changes you propose will carry to the Move you suggested only, not to any similar Moves. On that note, be sure that it is not similar to any existing Move introduced in any Generation X iteration or up to SV, otherwise it will be vetoed.

On that note, be sure that it is not similar to any existing Item introduced in a previous Generation X iteration or up to SV, otherwise it will be vetoed.
Additionally, although this is not a free slate, this is however your last chance to help decide our pre-dlc Brunica dex. You may either nominate a maximum of three existing Pokemon families (this includes Starters, Legendaries and/or Mythicals) introduced in the mainline games or in a previous Gen X iteration who may additionally have one exclusive move that they otherwise cannot learn and/orcreate/rework a maximum ofthree Held Items. These will serve as additional Gift Pokemon of Brunica.
This slate will last for at least 240 hours, and may be extended or reduced depending on forum activity.
This would be where I nominate the Desvegan starter trio, but it would take up all three of my nominations, so I shall instead nominate Gifsterious to come back; Not only does Gifsterious feel like a mon that could easily be distributed among regions far away from Brazdo, it also missed out on both Loria and Desvega and there was additional emphasis cited in the original post detailing Brunica on adapting cultures from countless other regions, so the Brazdan cultural custom involving Gifsterious could easily be one of them. (Also I would nominate the Eevee family but I feel the Balm move UberTrainer3000 drafted for the Eeveelutions once did them justice)

Typing: Grass/Rock Ability: Dazzling Base Stats: 70/87/70/90/117/85 (519) Height + Weight: 2.5m, 46.5kg Notable Moves: Petal Blizzard, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Petal Dance, Grass Knot, Aromatherapy, Rollout, Refracture, Play Rough, Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, Flower Shield, Weather Ball Flavor (Required): This LenTalk Request "The Dancing Crystabloom?" from Professor Mirror is unlocked once you add a photo of a Crystabloom to your Photodex, and the description is as follows: "Todd spotted a curious sight - it looked like a Crystabloom was dancing! Based on my research, I'm quite certain it could be a rare Pokemon. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!".
To complete this quest, you will need to throw a Illumina Orb at one of the six Crystablooms then play a melody to lure out this Cherrim. Be warned, however, while this rare Cherrim will only appear near the Crystablooms, their appearance requires the player to have taken a 4**** or higher ranked photo on the route beforehand on that route. Completing this quest unlocks the Picturesque Postcard, which in turn is your save data bonus Key Item reward for New Pokemon Snap.
If you have this Key Item, you can talk to a Collector who will give you this Cherrim, holding a Fairy Balm with the moveset of Sunny Day, Flower Shield, Refracture, Draining Kiss. *Custom Elements:

Let's do better to shield ourselves from damage, shall we?
Name: Hollusion (Holowear, Fusion, Illusion, Collusion) Category: Event Originating From: Pokemon Unite
Typing: Dragon/Electric Ability: Power Spot Base Stats: 80/80/115/80/115/80 (500) Height + Weight: 2.5m, 46.5kg Notable Moves: Outrage, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Dragon Energy, Thunder Punch, Wild Charge, Parabolic Charge, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Energy Ball, Focus Energy, Nasty Plot Flavor (Required): During Boss Rush events, you may encounter this curious creature as one of your possible opponents. Successfully winning a Boss Rush where Hollusion is a boss on Extreme difficulty will unlock Hollusion's Unite License as an option to be purchased in the shop. Purchasing the Unite License unlocks the Holowear Prototype, which in turn is your save data bonus Key Item reward for Pokemon Unite.
If you have this Key Item, you can talk to a Collector who will give you this Hollusion, holding a Steel Balm with the moveset of Parabolic Charge, Dragon Energy, Energy Ball & Focus Energy.
Name: Blunder Policy Effect: If one of the holder's moves misses, failed to affect each of its targets, or was prevented from being used due to an effect such as paralysis, the Blunder Policy is consumed and the holder's Speed is increased by two stages. Can Be Removed (Yes or No): Yes Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes Fling Power & Effect: 80, none Justification: It's the Blunder Policy from Joltemons.
Name: Protective Pads Effect: Powers up moves that inflict recoil or crash damage by 20% + Protects the holder from effects caused by using contact moves. Can be Knocked Off: Yes Ignored by Klutz: Yes Fling Power & Effects: 30 BP Justification: Punching Glove stole most of this item's thunder. So, I figured to import one of my winning subs from Vapourmons here.
Name: Soul-Link Effect: If the holder receives indirect damage, including weather, poison and burn, effects like Curse and Leech Seed, entry hazards, recoil (except from Struggle), crash damage, and damage from using Mind Blown or Steel Beam, the opponent directly opposite the holder also takes the same amount of damage. Can be Knocked Off: Yes Ignored by Klutz: No Fling Power & Effects: 60 BP Justification: Named after the Soul-Link Nuzlocke variant, and partially based on Vapourmon's Synchronise Ability.
So, what gifts have I cooked up for this slate? Let's see..... A tale of a boy and girl, hidden within a meteor dragon....
From left to right: Male Human Form, Male Dragon Form, Female Human Form, Female Dragon Form Name: Gasyid (Gaasyendietha + Side) Event Type: Event: Relocator after completing a Special Sync Pair Event in Pokémon Masters EX: After initiating the event, two Gasyids, one male, one female, will appear in the Pokémon Centre: Talk to them to begin the sidequest. Initially, everyone thinks that they are human, with the red skin making them assume they are in a fever. After gathering ingredients for a medicine and defeating several trainers that use Ground-weak Pokémon, you return to find the two being cornered by Team Break, who also think they are human, upon which they reveal that they are actually Pokémon by unleashing their Signature moves! After Cythina finds out the truth behind them, in that these two were cursed by a vicious Alakazam by having their Mudhen's Necklaces shattered, trapping them in human form, the two Gasyids then convince you to help it assemble a Mudhen's Necklace using materials gathered across the island. Once they have been assembled, the curse on them is broken as they assume their true forms, before they fight you: Use Ground-type attacks! Afterwards, the one matching your player's gender will join the player as a Sync Pair, while the other can then be transferred to Brunica through a special version of the Relocator. It is always at level 30, holding a Mudhen's Necklace, with the moves Meteor Storm, Draconic Fang, Play Rough, and either Aura Sphere or Healing Wish, depending on the Gender. Typing: (Human Form)

Believed to have come from the depths of space, and able to rain meteors down from the sky, this Pokémon can assume a human form to disguise itself among crowds of people, or to those that it trusts. To do this, it must take off the Muden's Necklace, that, in it's Dragon Form, is a set of spikes on the top of the head. Male Human Form: The male Human Form resembles a teenage boy with a dark red shirt and a pair of jeans, with a belt going around the jeans itself. Red scales decorate the body, arms, and legs, with it's hair being all spiky with a slight trace of the horns of it's Dragon Form. In this form, which is more suited for melee combat, it kind of has a liking for meteorites, and sometimes helps people dig them out. Female Human Form: The female Human Form has a slender body with a scarlet dress and red legs extending from the bottom of it. Wearing a pair of red shoes, it has a tuft of hair on the top with two ponytails, and spikes that resemble the Dragon Form's horns. Red scales are attached on it's body, the dress, and the ruff of top. A lot smarter than the males, in this form, which is also a melee fighter, it often likes to help scientists study the materials of meteorites. Dragon Form: Upon assuming it's true form, Gasyid resembles a giant bipedal dragon! From a large jaw that has the horns that the Muden's Necklace becomes when it transforms, a red neck connects to a body with a black underbelly on it. A pair of red wings with black frills extend from either side of the body, with it's arms having red bracers, and a set of sharp claws attached to black hands. It's long, sturdy legs have dragon claws on the bottom of them, and a red tail completes the look. The only difference between genders are in the eyes: The male's are regular, but the females are bright yellow. The supposed connection between Mew and all Ice-types....
Name: Détwin (Dew + Twin) Event Type: Event: Old save bonus from clearing a sidequest in Pokémon Quest: After clearing Farside Fjord, a Mysterious Summoning Horn will appear in the shop. Buy it, place it in your camp, and interact with it, and you'll see a Détwin muttering about "151", that it's clones have gone out of control. A special stage will then open up in each area of Tumblecube Island, featuring a Cloned Pokémon at the end. Détwin will act as a fourth party member in each of these stages. (You fight a Wigglytuff in First Steppe, a Scyther in Gloomy Grove, a Gyarados in Backforth Brook, a Charizard in Parched Pink, a Venusaur in Belly Button Cave, a Blastoise in Pincushion Plain, a Vileplume in Miasma Moor, a Pidgeot in Hushed Highlands, a Pikachu in Nightlight Nook, and finally a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, and a Squirtle in Farside Fjord, all having clone marks if able) Once all of them have been defeated, The final clone appears at your Base Camp, a Mew that you must also defeat. Finally, Détwin will challenge you at Farside Fjord Stage 1 to see if it is worthy to join you. Defeat it to have it join your team: You can then attract more of them with either Mulligan Stew à la Cube or Blue Soda à la Cube as a very rare encounter. Once you complete this sidequest, you'll get a One Five One Tuft as an old save bonus in Brunica, which can be exchanged with a Collector for a Détwin in Brunica. From a deer head with antlers made of ice, most of it's body is covered in a shroud that only exposes the white hooves, as well as it's tail. This deer head has bright white hair extending from the back, and it stands on it's hind legs, a "151"-like symbol decorating it's shroud. It is able to create perfect clones of anyone it can understand, causing utter confusion and chaos since these clones only submit to Détwin's rule. However, in reality, it is a very lonely Pokémon that's only making the clones to try and have some friends, only to destroy them when it believes the clone has betrayed it. Despite not being a Legendary Pokémon, it shares many of it's genetics with Mew, more than any other Pokémon, making scientists believe this was the missing link between it and other Ice-type Pokémon.

Possessing a pair of ring-like eyes, it's often given as a gift in festive occasions as a sign of prosperity and determination, as those who recieve it are inspired to carry on. From a Nanaimo bar shaped body with a red gem in the middle, a candy wrapper dress extends from the bottom, with a pair of legs resembling Nanaimo Bars coming from the bottom. On each of the sides of the body are two arms with pink tips at the end. The head itself has a stream of scarlet hair running down the sides, with a Nanaimo bar lodged on the right hand side, with candy wrappers on either side of it. A very innocent and also kind of maniacal Pokémon, it walks across every food source it comes across, and tests it with it's signature rock solid lollipop made of gemstones. If it finds even the slightest fault in it, it will smash it to smithereens while giggling maniacally. As such, people referred to Paynaimo as "The Famine Fairy", as they woke up to see that Paynaimo had destroyed all of their food supplies.
Save the best for last! While I originally nominated the Galar Starters for this slate, if this is the last chance to get the returnees in, it's best we put in the best of the best nominations! Each of the nominated lines gets a new Balm Move for use. While I originally nominated the Nincada line, problems with getting Wonder Guard to be balanced in the meta (Especially if Shedinja is holding a Steel Balm!) has led to the Ralts line taking their place, with Gardevoir's Telepathy ability now replaced with Magic Guard, and the line now getting Healing Nature via level up. An event could distribute a level 50 Shiny Gardevoir with Magic Guard as it's ability, with the moves Healing Nature, Psychic, Calm Mind, and Dazzling Gleam.

A small, weedy lizard Pokémon with a segmented look to its dark red skin and light orange underbelly, Sqamsy is notable for a pair of short horns jutting up from over its large green eyes, but more importantly, it also has a striking orange, semicircular fin on its back like a Dimetrodon, which it can use to absorb energy from sunlight or even enemy attacks; it also has a leaf-shaped skin flap of the same color on the end of its tail for flair. Its hind legs are longer than its front legs and its tail takes up over half the length of its body, enabling it to stand up in a tripodal position to throw energy blasts from its palms, either Kamehameha- or Hadoken-style. Its feet have three long toes each with pointy tips suggesting claws, allowing it to climb rather well despite its wimpy figure - it's often found clinging to rocky cliffs, tree trunks, and the sides of buildings to bask in the sun, but will scamper away swiftly if confronted, reserving its energy blasts only for when absolutely necessary.
"This cowardly Pokémon senses Aura with its back fin, allowing it to sense and flee from danger. It can launch explosive energy blasts in battle, but its terrible aim often causes it to misfire - with disastrous results."

Flavor:
A vicious, brutal reptilian Pokemon with a somewhat Gen-I feel to it, this predatory beast looks like a cross between a vintage carnivorous tail-dragging theropod, a lizard, and an Asian dragon. It has a relatively long yet thick torso and an even longer tapering tail, its large hind legs and its smaller grasping arms both resembling Charizard's, with three claws each; it can move on either four legs or two depending on which works better. When reared up, it drags its tail along the ground while holding its spine diagonally, retrosaur-style. It has a medium-length, serpentine but muscular neck and a large head with a pair of short horns and huge and powerful jaws full of fangs, somewhat resembling that of Aerodactyl but with a shorter, broader snout and two large saber fangs on the upper jaw that remain visible when the mouth is shut. Instead of a beak, it has a short trunk like Drowsee's, and its horns are longer than Aerodactyl or Charizard with an extra point near the base to resemble antlers; a pair of barbels also extends from near the nostrils like a Fu Manchu mustache. Patches of large, diamond-shaped, overlapping scales are visible upon its sides, neck, and upper limbs, but the belly is ridged like Dragonite's, while the upper surface sports a row of segmented armor plates all the way down the neck, back, and tail as well as a plate like a helmet on top of its head; however, it also has a ridge of fur like a shorter version of Zoroark's mane running down the back of the neck, starting from the forehead to just before the shoulders, and a matching large tuft on the end of the tail; smaller tufts of fur are also visible around its wrists, on its shoulders, and atop each thigh. This fur glows and billows in the air as it uses its special attacks, implying that it channels its power through it. The dorsal sail of the pre-evolution is also taller and more vividly colored, shaped and colored in a manner invoking a sunset. It is primarily golden in color with bronze-colored back armor and horns, and its belly and facial whiskers are cream-colored, while its fur is the same red shade as on Charmeleon's body with the tufts tipped with brick red, and the sail is a striking orange edged with the same red as the fur; the shiny inverses this by having red scales along with brick-red armor and light orange belly/barbels, but golden fur tufts tipped with bronze and a yellowish white sail, like a sunrise rather than a sunset. For both color palettes, the eyes are a fierce lime green with vertical slits for pupils, it's teeth and talons are white, and its snakey forked tongue is a dull pink.
Potential Competitive Gameplay:
Wherever Azdharsha goes, destruction and chaos are certain to follow. This hulking beast is slower than molasses, sure, but why outrun your foes when nuking them from afar works just as well? There are actually only four non-Max, non-Z-move special Fighting-type moves in existence (Secret Sword being exclusive to Keldeo and not flavor-appropriate for this big lizard), and I had to use every single one of them here, but they're far from useless in this case, especially with that frankly ridiculous Special Attack stat. Your best bets at Fighting STAB are Aura Sphere for the accuracy and Focus Blast for sheer damage output, though the latter's meh accuracy might be an issue as is tradition. Fire-type pseudo-STAB comes in the form of Overheat and Fire Blast, and with both buffed into Furious Flare, their respective secondary effects are traded for weakening opponents with each successful use of this move. Coverage includes Dragon, Electric, Grass, Poison, Dark, and Ground-type moves of various effectiveness, giving it answers to all the types it's weak against even when type-balmed. Its slow speed, high defense and rather decent special defense also allow for an easier time proccing Berserk, though if it absolutely needs to heal up, it's important to remember that Draining Kiss is a special attack, making it more viable than Drain Punch despite lacking STAB, though Giga Drain isn't a bad idea either if you find yourself up against something weak to Grass. Be aware, though, that its Speed and physical Attack are basically its dump stats, which can come back to bite it in the tail if it isn't careful!
"As it grapples with its prey, it clamps its jaws upon them to drain their life force, allowing it to heal itself, boost its strength, or project destructive projectiles of superheated energy. Sometimes, though, it can't help but devour its downed adversary in one gulp."

This line is based on several kinds of lizards which were introduced into North America. Canada has rather low lizard diversity but it does have one invasive lizard species, the common wall lizard (Podarcis muralis). Further south, the southern U.S., especially Florida, has had an issue with the Nile monitor (Varanus niloticus). Monitor lizards are named because they rear up on their hind legs to see better, but also to fight like wrestlers over mates and territory - hence the Fighting type for this line. The generic name Varanus is derived from the Arabic waral, meaning "lizard beast", and as it turns out, Islam is the second-largest religion in Canada, practiced by approximately 5% of the population! The evolution is thus based on the Azhdaha, a dragon from Persian mythology which is said to be vicious and destructive like a European dragon, but has an appearance more an Asian dragon, though with a few unique twists like a trunk on its nose. This sort of transitional nature does make sense given how the Middle East is sandwiched between the two continents, but this design also incorporates characteristics of Japanese kaiju like many Kanto designs did. Persia was situated in the region that would eventually become modern-day Iran, so I referenced the Iranian form of wrestling to inform the overall design, as it is heavily ritualized and based largely on display with body contact being done only in the climactic match. Both stages also take cues from the old practice of slurpasaurs, the colloquial term for gluing rubber features like fins, spikes, and horns onto lizards or other reptiles and then using special filming tricks to make them look big enough to (unconvincingly) pass off as "dinosaurs".
Azdharsha actually originates from one of my first subs for the Fakemon Frontier pet mod, though it didn't win, and I've been trying to pitch it or at least a variation on it since then - for this latest iteration, I made it part of a contest stat min-to-max set to go with Feebas and made a few tweaks for it to match. I hope these modifications will be enough that this time, it'll finally get its chance to shine!

A tiny little fish Pokemon that hatches in extremely cold waters, this little, turquoise fish Pokemon is distinguished by a bluish-white sphere of packed snow around the front half of its body - its body is so cold that it freezes any moisture around it, helping it stay cool in warmer, more temperate waters. Its round, blue-gray pectoral fins protrude from the sides of the snowball, and its head, spade-shaped when seen from above, pokes out of the front, while the tadpole-like tail trails out behind, with a blue-gray fin like Tympole's. It has two short barbels like Barboach on the underside in front of its frowning mouth along with several blue-gray dots like acne on the topside, and its large, yellow eyes, set atop the head like a crocodile's, have dark blue rings around them like "nerd glasses" and a perpetually frightened look to them. Appropriately, Frydgety is a very panicky Pokemon, quite unspectacular and diminutive enough to be easily bullied by most other aquatic Pokémon. Perhaps there's some potential for it to overcome its low self-esteem issues, but would it be worth it...?
"Its body contains proteins that protect it from extreme cold. This neurotic Pokémon freezes the water around it to instantly encase itself in solid ice when frightened."

("[enemy Pokémon] is chilled out!") Distribution: Signature move of Icypenser Justification: Ghost-type Sand Tomb clone
Flavor:
An enormous, serpentine fish Pokemon based only partly on an adult sturgeon, Icypenser owes more to the more sea-serpent-like depictions of lake monsters in terms of its shape. Bluish purple on top with a lighter periwinkle underside, it still has a packed snowball over its "chest", albeit much larger, but it now has a moderately long, S-curved neck protruding from the front with a head like an adult sturgeon at the end of it, though it also resembles a shark's head in overall shape. The barbels are longer and more prominent, ice-blue in color, and sweep back like on a Chinese dragon before ending with feathery, wispy tips, and there's an extra pair of almost ear-like fins on either side of its face. The eyes are far smaller and set in the midst of dark blue "shades" like Krookodile's except more mellow-looking in shape, protecting the beast's vision even in whiteout conditions. The serenely smiling mouth is shark-like but lacks teeth, so it can only uselessly gum large enemies, but it can protrude forward enough to form a large tube; it feeds on smaller Water-types which it captures by suction after weakening them via spitting a blast of freezing water. The back half of the creature is now very long and serpentine but also quite thick with muscle, flexing sideways when swimming but also capable of vertical undulation so it rises in humps as it rests on the water surface. Its fins are now ice-blue in color like the barbels, the tail fin having a forked shape with rounded tips along with two additional fins on the top and bottom just ahead of it. Notably, there are three rows of blue-white, pyramid-shaped nodules made of solid ice running down the entire length of its body, one row down the back and two on either side. These are its main form of protection due to its hide being smooth and scaleless, and in a pinch it may even expand this ice covering and encase its whole body with an articulated "suit" of frozen armor if enough water is available.
A Pokémon so rare that some believe it to be a mere myth, Icypenser practically redefines the phrase "calm, cool, and collected". So self-assured is it in its strength and power that it remains composed even in the toughest circumstances, such as harsh blizzards or violent conflict. Its icy breath seems to have a calming effect on other Pokémon, forcibly stopping them from attacking, and if it feels that a battle isn't worth the effort, it will spray a chilling mist to obscure its foes' vision before sneaking away. Its spectacular appearance and devil-may-care attitude make it quite popular among collectors looking for bragging rights, but it's also critically endangered because countless Frydgety have been harvested from the wild in the hopes of even one of them evolving. As a result, the species has fallen into a habit of treating humanity quite coldly, so to speak, with captive specimens often ignoring trainers' commands or even refusing to partake in matches they could've easily won. The task of gaining the trust of one may be an uphill battle and a test of true patience, but success in this regard will reward you with a loyal, selfless ally.
Potential Competitive Role:
One of two attempts thus far on my part to drop a Magikarp ripoff into this region, Icypenser is more akin to Feebas/Milotic in terms of flavor niche, albeit with the Cool stat in place of Beauty; gameplay-wise, though, it's more akin to Baxcalibur, being a Dragon Dance-abusing wallbreaker with powerful STAB and a useful speed boost. The main distinction is that whereas Baxcalibur is physically inclined, Icypenser relies on Type-Balming to give it Ghost-type STAB with a focus more on the special side, and while not quite as destructive as the swordasaur's Outrage, a Shadow Ball from this big fish is still a force to be reckoned with. Blizzard and Ice Beam take care of Ghost-resistant types easily, and most of those that resist Ice don't exactly appreciate either Earth Power or Surf. Its Type Balm move, Cryptic Chillout, is a good option for chipping down opponents on top of its initial damage, but even with as high a Special Attack as it has, said chip damage can take too long to score a KO if it turns out to be Ghost-resistant, especially since Blizzard and Ice Beam are both safer and, more importantly, quicker to make use of. Still, there's something to be said for using this move to trap an unsuspecting opponent, switching out with Flip Turn, and bringing in an equally strong teammate to deliver the finishing blow.
"According to local folklore, it appears only in the coldest days of winter, and spends the rest of the year relaxing at the bottom of the deepest lake it can find. It's said to remain composed even in the harshest conditions."

For a region based on somewhere near the North Atlantic, I'm surprised nobody suggested an Atlantic sturgeon yet for one of Brunica's fakemon, so I decided to do the honors there. Its original name was actually "Monsturgeon" and I thought about it being fiercer in temperament, but then I started writing the flavor about it being the Cool counterpart to Milotic and pivoted to that instead, with the baby being based on the silly-looking fry of this fish pictured above (sourced from Wikipedia). It's also based on Old Ned, The Lake Utopia Sea Monster, and the idea that lake monsters like Nessie are based on misinterpreted sightings of sturgeons, further playing into this being a rehash of the "weak fish to sea serpent" trope like the Magikarp and Feebas lines before it.
This entry was originally Ice/Dragon-typed, but for this submission I decided to go with pure Ice for both stages with a Type Balm move in place of a signature. This is to go with Milotic remaining pure Water, but getting a Dragon-type Type Balm move - for this and the other related submissions, I figured it'd also be appropriate for the Type Balms to be of different types between them, with none of the types repeated (either the types the Pokémon have originally or the ones the Type Balms give them).

This small, unsightly snake Pokémon lacks venom, instead subduing prey via constriction. Without a dangerous bite, it instead has to defend itself with mimicry, hoping to startle opponents long enough for it to make its getaway. Its face is purplish gray with widely spaced black dots for eyes on either side and a droopy white ball-like snout, looking akin to a depressurized blobfish. The front half of the body is white and the back half is red, so when coiled up into a ball with its head concealed in its coils, it resembles a Poké Ball; the shiny, meanwhile, has a blue tail that makes it resemble a Great Ball. As such, it's absolutely despised by trainers combing the wilderness for hidden items and Poké Balls especially - if you pick it up under the impression that it's a Poké Ball, you'll be in for quite a shock as it panics, falls right out of your hands, and slithers away!
"This shy Pokémon seems ashamed of its appearance, and often curls up into a ball to hide its odd-looking face. Its color used to match the rocks and boulders it lives amongst in the wild, but it now mimics a Poké Ball thanks to human activity."

Ghost-types receive (super-effective) damage but not the binding effect Distribution: Signature move of Adoraboa Justification: Dark-type trapping move akin to Magma Storm or Thunder Cage
Flavor:
It used to be thought that Loathon was but a one-off that couldn't evolve at all, and left to its own devices that might well be the case. However, its inadvertent invasion of human homes in search of shelter has resulted in some people getting an eyeful of its lumpy appearance and finding it quite cute, in its own strange way. They thus started raising captive members of this species and pampering them to the extent that they started thinking of themselves as cute... and with this added confidence, they started charming their owners into feeding them more, and thus began to grow... and grow... and GROW...
It's hard to believe that the enormous Adoraboa, one of the largest snake Pokémon, is the evolved form of one of the smallest, but the fact that this immense constrictor does still rely on imitating a Poké Ball, sort of, betrays its humble roots. Resembling an enormous python rather than a boa or anaconda, its round, big-eyed face has a small cat-like smile on its white, circular muzzle and huge, dewy eyes like a gecko's that are a solid black in color. The head is relatively small relative to the rest of the body, which is much thicker and "fatter" around the middle, and its magenta topside, white belly and jaw, a thick black line separating the top from the bottom (joining with a black ring around the muzzle, and also concealing the rest of its mouth which is wider than it looks), and lighter pink hearts on its forehead and down its back are reminiscent of a Love Ball, while its shiny colors reverse the shades of pink to instead give it a look akin to a Dream Ball. The tip of its tail, however, is banded, starting with a red band, then a black one, a white one, a black one, and red again near the tip. There is a spherical bulb on the end, colored and patterned like a Poké Ball, which it uses either as a distraction to draw attackers away from the rest of its body or as a lure for those it intends to charm into servicing it; the shiny, of course, uses the Great Ball color scheme for the tail lure as well. If that doesn't work, it can simply give its mark its best Baby-Doll Eyes, which seems to have a strange effect of entrancing people and Pokémon who become willing to do anything it wants them to. And if it gets into a tight spot with someone it can't sway with either trickery or cuteness, there's always the option of simply giving its opponent a hug... one that seems to get just a little bit tighter every time they move...
Potential Competitive Gameplay:
Adoraboa is, well, adorable! Especially once it gets its adorably pudgy coils around you and starts snuggling you 'til you pass out! And if that wasn't cute enough, wait 'til it uses Play Rough or Moonblast, especially after either a Coil or Nasty Plot for that added cuteness overload! D'awww! Seriously, though, this is a versatile and durable jack-of-all-stats with a particular emphasis on the rare combo of physical defense and speed, its balanced offensive stats being rather mid normally but its unique combination of speed and toughness enabling it to set up in different ways for different purposes. Agility, Nasty Plot, Bulk Up, and especially Coil are all on the docket here, and the latter in particular is especially helpful for a physically oriented moveset. While it starts battle with only one STAB type to its credit, using its signature Type Balm will also allow it to turn its Dark-type moves such as Crunch and Dark Pulse into an effective means of pinning down an opponent, whittling away at its health while giving it enough time to either tank a few resisted hits while setting up or finish off its fresh-squeezed victim. The added Dark typing does negate its resistance to Fighting, but it also gives it a Psychic immunity as well as a Dragon one, and between that and the added Ghost resistance, this makes it useful for switching in and either snaring foes that aren't of the Ghost type or simply wiping out those that are with Sneaky Squeeze's initial damage - Foul Play as a TM works best as a base move for optimized destruction. It also learns a few coverage moves such as Iron Tail, Focus Blast, and Bulldoze to deal with all three of the types it's weak to, but it can only load up two coverage types at a time, so pick your poison wisely and take into account which potential counters it'll most likely be facing. Notably, with Agility taken into account, it's also fast enough to make use of status moves such as Taunt, Helping Hand, Imprison, or Trick, and if all else fails, it's also just barely quick enough to make use of U-Turn - and even if most of its potential counters will more than likely shrug off the damage it deals before it slithers away, you can always bring in someone else they'd be far less prepared for.
"A lifetime of pampering has given Adoraboa a lazy but conniving streak. It uses its cute face to charm others into catering to its every whim, distracting those it can't persuade with the lure on its tail."

Can Be Removed (Yes or No): Yes Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes Fling Power & Effect: 10 BP + 30% chance to lower the target's Special Defense Justification: Prism Scale but for the Cute contest stat
Since the previous two subs I listed above were compiled into the Feebas line analogs for the Tough and Cool contest stats, I had to complete the set with Feebas equivalents for the Cute and Clever ones, too. I decided to challenge myself to make the Cute one neither a mammal nor a bird so the items for contest stats could retain the Scale naming theme, so I went with a nonvenomous snake line - pet snakes are very endearing once you get to know them, and we do need a cute danger noodle rather than a cool or scary one! I based this line off a visual pun on a ball python (crossing it with the common fakemon trope of a Poké Ball mimic, with the normal ball's colors also allowing me to stir in some milk snake patterning), but other than that there aren't any specific constrictor snakes that can claim to be the major inspiration - I actually thought of Adoraboa's name first for this line and then the rest followed. The tail lure on the evolved form is, however, based on the way some snakes use their tails to lure in prey (the spider-tailed horn viper being one famous example) - I've seen this in two other fakemon families I've happened across that have also used a snake basis for the Poké Ball mimic concept, but since you can't mistake a giant snake for a Poké Ball even when it's curled up, that was pretty much the only choice I had for that to work. Hopefully my idea is at least distinct enough compared to the other two!

Even though tortoises aren't native to Canada, I don't think every Pokémon in a region has to match the fauna of its real-world basis - koalas and toucans don't show up in Hawaii, so a giant tortoise in New Brunswick wouldn't be much of a stretch. The pre-evolved form is based on the Indian and Burmese star tortoises, whose genus, Geochelone, informed the typing of this line. About the only changes from it being just a stylized dull yellow-skinned tortoise is the fact that its dark brown shell is literally a jagged, vaguely round rock topped with tan dirt with green grass growing on it, with a smaller "helmet" of stone on its flattened head, as though it got squashed either under a rock or by a long fall. The widely spaced eyes are orange with wall-eyed black pupils, and its wide, toothless mouth has a beaky look and a dopey smile. Its four stubby legs have three gray claws each, and are unable to carry it any further than about 1 mile an hour if it's in a hurry; normally, it's content to move at just twenty feet in an hour, eating up all the vegetation in front of it before it has to move. Predictably, it's also slow mentally, being so stupid that it has no concept of danger; very little can scare it into retreating into its shell, and said shell is hard enough that it has little to worry about anyway (though should it fall from a height, such as if it walks right off a cliff, anyone directly below it might not be so lucky). Most people don't even bother with keeping it, wondering what the point is in caring for such a dense, sluggish creature, but there are those who believe that its very long life has allowed it to pick up hidden nuggets of wisdom over the ages. They may be more on the money than they realize - if patiently teaching it to become wise enough to evolve doesn't do the trick, then perhaps exposure to a certain fossilized scale surely will...
"A Pokémon that's as hard as rock and twice as dumb. It's said that its armored shell is the only reason it didn't die out long ago, but some people train it anyway, believing that this same shell is concealing ancient secrets."
Previously, the Galápagos tortoise was considered to belong to the genus Geochelone, known as 'typical tortoises' or 'terrestrial turtles'. In the 1990s, subgenus Chelonoidis was elevated to generic status based on phylogenetic evidence which grouped the South American members of Geochelone into an independent clade (branch of the tree of life).

Flavor:
According to legend, a Doltoise that's lived for a thousand years will transcend mortal existence and become a Sagachelys, a giant tortoise the likes of Megalochelys atlas that's achieved enlightenment through inner peace. Able to grow to the size of a small hill, its rocky shell resembles one, too - like a miniature mountain, it is tall and almost conical in shape with a covering of forest-green grass around its base with a peak of bare stone, banded with brown and tan like rock strata with round pink crystals like pearls scattered across the surface. The tree-trunk-like legs are positioned in a more upright stance than in a typical tortoise to better support its weight, with four hoof-like gray claws each; these are a faded yellowish gray with cracks like patches hexagonal scales here and there. There is a moderately long, dragging tail with three small rocky spikes on top like a cartoon dinosaur's, but the neck is much longer; rising high like a sauropod's, it has three more small spikes running along its spine, and carries a small head whose blunt, toothless beak has a prominent underbite and a serene smile. The lower jaw and throat are covered in long, drooping strands of moss and vegetation that are the same green as the grass on its shell, with more such foliage growing over its half-lidded, gentle-looking orange eyes; together, these plants invoke the beard and eyebrows of an old wise guru; there's even two strands of moss like a mustache dangling from the sides of its nose. The dome-shaped head further invokes a bald cap, but is made of the same pink crystal as the pearls on its shell, and is used as a focus for its supernatural abilities.
This wise, aged herbivore is a wanderer by nature, traveling around the land at its own pace, grazing only when it truly has to, meditating in the sun, and offering care and support for those in need. The plants on its shell and "beard" have medicinal properties, and its pearl-like gems are said to grant the knowledge of the universe to those who look into them. However, its rarity is the result of not only its pre-evo's slow growth rate but also the fact that it's been hunted heavily by people for its benefits, hence its being found in only the most remote places. Before a select few trainers put in the effort to get their Doltoises to evolve, some didn't believe it wasn't fully extinct yet, dismissing sightings of it as being misinterpretations of other turtle Pokémon; today, it is still critically endangered and protected by law, though that hasn't stopped the less scrupulous looking to strike it rich - specimens and their pearls and plants still fetch high prices among evil teams the world over.
Potential Competitive Gameplay:
Hardy and experienced, Sagachelys practically redefines the expression "slow and steady wins the race". It may be slow as molasses, sure, but it makes up for it with impressive durability, an impressive Special Attack stat that can make use of Power Gem and even Ancient Power, and a powerful pseudo-STAB option in the form of its Type Balm move, which synergizes well with Calm Mind for that added damage output. In fact, this is a 'mon tailor-made for Calm Mind, its hefty defenses enabling it to take an incoming hit while boosting and then hit back with impressive attacks of its own. It's also able to learn a few Ground-, Grass-, Ghost-, and Fairy-type coverage moves, enabling it to deal with four of the six types it's weak against after using its Type Balm, though it still has blind spots against Water and Grass and can only carry so much coverage, even less so with Calm Mind being a must for optimum use of Pearl of Wisdom. Best to use this thing with team support on hand, and be ready to switch it out when the going gets tough - it may be a force to be reckoned with, but that godawful Speed stat can leave it painfully vulnerable in the face of a counter.
"It's said that a Doltoise that's lived and learned for a thousand years evolves into a Sagachelys. Its great wisdom and the curative herbs and gemstones on its shell are so valuable that it was once hunted to near extinction for them."

For the final Feebas equivalent, I decided to try a different angle for the Clever stat as opposed to something stereotypically brainy (like I already did with the Cninapse line). To this end, I came up with a giant tortoise with wise monk aesthetic a la Master Oogway, with the intentionally derpy pre-evo following suit, while also stirring in a bit of minogame yokai with the mossy "hair" and aged aesthetic - think of Wartortle's early dex entries saying it's a thousand years old. It also has a bit of a sauropod motif to it, in the vein of certain spec-evo "modern dinosaur cryptid" redesigns that turn them into sauropod-like turtles - I'd be lying if I said I didn't have the Toraton from The Future Is Wild in mind when thinking of this one.
Meteor Dragon: Strong Special Attacker kept back by its item slot & lack of boosting. I would like to point out that side quests in Masters EX are more so Timed Events, separate from the main story - the event you're describing sounds more like a Special Sync Pair Event. Additionally, I'll like you to put together a profile of Gasyid & the Main Character as a Sync Pair. {Playable Moves, Sync Move, Passive Skills}
Cloned Wendora: Fast Speedy Special attack with average bulk.
Polteageist's deranged fan: It has good bulk, I'll give it that. Nothing else stands out, though.
Shedinja, but worse: I get its gimmick, but there is a very good reason why you don't see Shedinja outside of very niche circumstances.

That said, a person named Ms. Savoir see potential with the little flea-like Pokémon, and insist on their uses, at least in battles. She gifts one for the player if they completed her request. Competitive Overview: A deconstruction on gimmicky single-stage Pokémon that have an appealing Ability, only to turn out appaling to use because of either poor stat distribution or BST, inconsistency or actively detrimental against it. Futilick is a reconstruction in that despite the low stats except Speed and it’s name, it can still put up a serious fight with the right moves.
While not going to be an OU material ‘mon, Power Jumper gives it a big boost to Pounce, High Jump Kick / Sky Uppercut, Triple Axel and Supercell Slam without worry of accuracy. Bounce in particular become a decently strong turn-one attack with 30% chance of Paralysis. Custom Element Power Jumper: Gravity-affected moves have their Power boosted by 1.5x and can be used during Gravity, and Bounce will attack at turn 1. Adjustments on old moves to accomodate Power Jumper: Supercell Slam, Sky Uppercut, Axe Kick, and Pounce are preventable by Gravity because of the moves’ description, thus also boosted by this Ability.

This is still mostly WIP, so I'll comment on what appears to be set in stone:
Tough & Cool: I'm aware that both of them are earlier subs, but the naming scheme as a group feels... off. Milotic, Adoraboa & Sagachelys incorporate terms relating to their Contest stat (Milotic has Venus de Milo, Adoraboa is adorable, which is synonymous with cute, and Sages are Clever. Icypenser's contest stat technically works with its type, and one can assume Dragons are tough, but it still feels off.
Cute & Clever: I don't think we've had a cute snake ever (Only one might be Snivy in my opinion.), and this would be the first Oogway we have, so both have a good start. Sneaky Squeeze seems fun in concept, Pearl of Wisdom might be broken. Of course, their stats don't appear to be set in stone yet, so I'll reserve that right later.
We haven't had any deconstruction subs, but kudos with this. The criteria of the moves affected by Power Jumper seems a bit... random. Bounce, Jump Kick, High Jump Kick are those affected by gravity; Axe Kick, Sky Uppercut, Pounce, Supercell Slam are not (though if we use their dex descriptions, there's an argument to make them Gravity moves if we want to), and then we have Triple Axel as the outliner.
This one took me a while to read through. Admittedly I still haven't figured out on why the Apricorn ball is the key to evolving them, but the sub itself is... usable. The flavour is just very, very confusing.
Second sub review, questionable things are red, veto-worthy things are additionally bolded:

Our second malware themed mon. Alolan Raichu with better utility, though it's still reasonably frail.

Yeah, maybe it’s for best to make Power Jumper more based on Gravity-affected moves, with Axe Kick, Sky Uppercut and Sipercell Slam added as Gravity-affected moves (unselectable / fails on use but boosted by Power Jumper). While Futilick still have Triple Axel, it doesn‘t gain boost of it anymore.
It's quite different from a malware, it's more of an error, a bug indeed. A malware may cause errors (e.g. DoS attacks), but not necessairily (e.g. ransomware) and it has to be downloaded or installed on the machine, while an error is caused by the software itself, it doesn't come from outside (e.g. when the computer has to divide by 0).
36 hour countdown from now; if you have any more ideas, list them now, but note I will not give them a proper reasoning review unless prompted, and will be subjected to a quick veto if decided.

By raising it's hands towards the sky, it can further assume the form of a red serpent made of meteorites, known as it's Astral Form, to rain asteroids down to areas that it thinks are unworthy of life itself.

Failure to properly mark your self-vote will result in said vote being disqualified, and only the first three votes will be counted if you vote for more than three. The submission(s) with the highest amount of votes will become part of the dex.
Your voting options are as follows:
- Tigracée
- Sqamsy line + Frydgety line + Loathon line + Doltoise line
- Tintonent
- Turbloon
- Futilick
- Swidow + Fortisea
This poll will be open for at least 48 hours, and may be extended or reduced depending on forum activity.
