You still have to fit it all in the moveslot, if you build fin to just kill those things it will probably struggle against other stuff that would die to more common fin sets, which in return will handle fin with ease. It would just be better to grab a raging bolt or smth to kill dozo and mola rather than make fin the mola/dozo killer

Despite that, you do raise some good points

Also you can just knock off the covert with someone else and then scald burn the fin, this is why tera fire is much better for bulk up sets imo

Me when i click drain punch vs the dozo qnd widdle it down as its unable to heal due to taunt and mfw alo gives me free turns.

I dont particularly enjoy posting in this thread but please use common sense dozo doesnt beat bu taunt when unboosted alo gives it free turns and non encore waterpon isnt a check palafin clicks the tera button and wins vs non encore waterpon

Well yeah I specifically said encore waterpon for a reason
Also mola can give it as many free turns as you want it can still flip turn on it and go to smth like meowscarada to shoot a flower trick that goes beyond the physical defense boosts or to raging bolt to kick its ass, if you can't beat it on the defensive side you have to outpace it

Not every palafin will be taunt covert bulk up and even then people will find a good defensive check. Dare I say some examples are iron defense zamazenta, helmet corviknight and bulky ghold, they fit the bill well enough
Even static zapdos can be good enough imo

Hydrapple amongus zapdos sinischacha can probably check it if zamazenta doesn't count. Pokemon damage calculator won't correct from obamasnow to run calcs. I know palafin can probably OHKO with Tera ice ice Punch idk

it's a very powerful mon and I'd really really rather we get rid of Tera blast. Keeping kyurem and adding leki and mayne flame body moth would give palafin an easier time later. I think this is a waste of time and I even believe it's a purposeful waste of time to get us off track of the alternative path that was finally in front of us after gliscor and kyurem failed and Tera blast was being acknowledged as the next logical step.

I have decided to embrace niche as full on bigsmogon conspiracy schizo until Tera blast is given a fair shake lol. Which is now going to be at best 2 months later after we run this silly palafin suspect and then let things "settle" then survey. Probably get third kyurem sus pushed in the mean time and by then it will be considered long enough to go through with. If it passes we go back to gliscor and then others potentially. I can see tera blast being put off until gen10 or never as a result of this "fun" announcement.

Oh well. Im voicing my thoughts that I believe are reasonable but I may be alone in this.

Idk how we think this fat ass Lugia will be less overcentralising than Palafin would be - I don't even want any retests but let's be so fr
 
This is going to be fun/exciting and I think it lives up to the hype, but will probably make the meta worse/even more offensive in the long run lol.

Obviously Palafin is an extremely offensive Mon and I think Lugia will likely turn into a CM/stored power merchant despite what people say.

It could be beyond ausmas control. Too much resistance from the site owners perhaps.

Threads been fallen since the announcement was teased don't pearl clutch now. We're like 10 pages deep and my unhinged rant is in good faith to influence towards a path I think would be for the best. Despite the leader pledging near half.of the needed votes for palafin immediately setting the tone, it is still relatively possible for tera blast ban to still become favored.

It's still a higher quality post than literally just asking for reacts.
