It's a non-item based generational mechanic from the previous gen. It's not compatible with Tera.
But is there a reason why it couldn't be? I'm assuming that they're gonna work side-by-side in the upcoming Pokemon Champions game and this tier seem to me like it's pretty much what that game is going to be.

You're welcome to assume that - until Champions comes out and we know for sure how it behaves & have the conversations that would redefine the identity of National Dex and whether or not it'll be changed on Showdown, it won't be added because it is literally not compatible on the site at the moment. Like I said, it's a Generation 8 mechanic, and this format plays in Generation 9.

Fair enough! Thanks for the explanation!

Idk how good at the video game to post a team that I like but this is what I've landed on for now. I wanted to have multiple types of teams but this is the strongest configuration I can think of tbh.

Some of this stuff I've changed recently or can be swapped out for preference, like I'm running Chlorophyll on my Whimsicott now just to taunt dark types and I have sun already. Rock Polish is Swords Dance too on Groudon. And then you can also run protect on Rayquaza it's definitely safer but for some reason I felt compelled to split up my speed control and thought I might just not need protect I suppose? It's subjective so ;-w- I might change it later.

I was trying to flow chart my experience and it stressed me out more so. Some commonalities I had in mind for this tier feels like you need to be running two weather setters (Mega Rayquaza, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre), a terrain setter (Miraidon or Indeedee-F), one of the two really good special attackers (Xerneas or Calyrex Shadow Rider), Physical Presense (Zamazenta or Calyrex Ice Rider), and something to pay the Pixie Tax (Whimsicott or Sabeleye).

This flow chart style feels like an over generalization, but like having multiple weather options to beat your opponents weather is kind of an interesting dynamic. It also feels like if I wanted to run psychic terrain I'd have to work around not using Miraidon, a really strong pokemon in general which feels like a hard ask. Luckily multiple pokemon tend to fulfill multiple of these points I mentioned. Groudon is Physical Presense and Weather setting at the same time while Indeedee is Terrain and Pixie Tax.

Just stuff I've been thinking about :0 this tier has been a lot of fun

In addition to the pokemon included in the VR, the council also voted on the following pokemon and the outcome was UR (unranked):
  • Arceus-Poison, Arceus-Fire, Arceus-Steel, Ultra Necrozma, Melmetal, Tornadus, Ferrothorn, Salamence-Mega, Mewtwo-Mega-Y, Necrozma-Dawn-Wings, Urshifu-Rapid Strike, Urshifu, Annihilape, Flutter Mane, Marshadow, Iron Bundle, Kyurem White
Thank you to all the Voters for making this a seamless and quick process

In addition to the VR, I recently topped the ladder in a nearly seamless run over the weekend using this team that I built for NDAMPL Semis earlier this year. I believe it is a very strong team in the current metagame and does well into a lot of the common structures being seen both on ladder and in tour play.

:Rayquaza-Mega: :Whimsicott: :Calyrex-Shadow: :Groudon-Primal: :xerneas: :Arceus:

Pretty standard 6. I think Whimsicott as a support pick is massively underrated right now because of how easily it enables threats like calyrex shadow and xerneas, and forces different lines by the opponent through the threat of encore.

i really like nddub,because first i like cir,second its a violence ladder which i love it,and also mean less stall team。and i saw dub usage,and worry about those u know……those lv1 unhealthy strategy。but lucky in here,we are all nice people,dont give a shit on those thing。so totally i got a not bad experience i guess?and……emmm……

yeah,so,i got three pokemon i want to talk。why three?you need talk about inc not s tier or tier0 something?(or how suck zama is(f word for this f word thing))wow~you are getting this game well huh?my understand is way more different then most people here,talking about those i ensure way too different option is wasting time(im just taking about why i dont want comment other pokemon not want to attak other people,my English suck,im not sure i said wrong or something,i dont mean offensive)

lando-I:i remember i said lando is pretty good in this ladder,but i wasnt that sure,because i didnt play it a lot(and used crunch scarf,not the best set) 。and now im sure lando is surely a top tier pokemon,in this ladder。it takes many advantage on restricts,(majorly groudon、xerneas、miraidon) onlytwo bad matchup are csr and a little bit cir。
yveltal:i actually kinda love it when i use it。fell like raging bolt,you know,snarl,but yvel do some damage;a really hurt thunder bolt/dark stab move+thunder clap/suck punch combo;electric web or tail wind for speed control;both flexible on item choice……yeah,raging bolt is my man,i guess yveltal could be in future pokemon champion。oh yeah,do you know what this thing could counter i found?they are actrually groudon、CIR、lunala,yeah only thing that can block CSR are lunala and arceus remember this。

After having a taste of this metagame (via the recent tournament), I'm pretty optimistic about its future. A lot of players have already put down their input about the metagame, but I think having a more centralized resource for future players will 1) encourage the said players to try out this metagame and 2) help experienced players to redirect these new players to reliable resources with ease.

First of all, the council did a good job with the Tier List. It has been updated just a month ago, but not after the recent tournament. My opinion is that Prankster supports like Whimsicott and Sableye are actually really good. While true that they aren't powerhouses, they can still seriously change the momentum of the game. The data from recent tournament shows that teams with Prankster support had a better chance in winning than those that don't. Also, Calyrex-I and Zacian, which are currently Tier 3, has been used as much as and performed better than their fellow Tier 2 powerhouses minus Groudon. I have provided the usage stat right down below.

Second, I would like to nominate some Sample Teams. LogIce 's team (:Rayquaza-Mega::Whimsicott::Calyrex-Shadow::Groudon-Primal::Xerneas::Arceus:) is by far the most used and most successful team in the recent tournament. Trying to stay diverse as possible from LogIce's team, I next nominate zee 's team (:Kyogre-Primal::Miraidon::Calyrex-Shadow::Rayquaza::Sableye::Zacian-Crowned:). New players should be made aware that Kyogre has as much relevancy in the metagame as Groudon and Rayquaza. Zee's team also put Miraidon and Zacian to good use. My last nomination is DaWoblefet 's Trick Room team (:Calyrex-Ice::Xerneas::Incineroar::Rayquaza-Mega::Arceus::Groudon-Primal:) In my opinion, DaWoblefet's team is the best crafted team aside from HO. Incineroar provides surprisingly good support, allowing Trick Room to setup and help reduce physical damage for its teammates. Xerneas also seems to fit right in as the "transition mon" out of Trick Room. Whatever the powerhouses doesn't kill, the E-Speed spammer can take care of them.

Hey, post derby post here, just wanna go over the teams i brought and some thoughts on the metagame!

:zygarde-complete::indeedee-f::yveltal::calyrex-shadow::groudon-primal::arceus-poison: - vs zee (L)
Funny team, Zygarde is a really high reward mon once it gets going and has a really good Primal Groudon matchup which is cool. Paired up with Yveltal for Caly matchups and the very niche CM Arceus Poison. This Arceus set did a lot of good for me in tests and was cool in general, even won me the game if not for an unfortunate misclick of Judgment against Tera Fairy Ice Rider.

:necrozma-dusk-mane::rayquaza-mega::kyogre-primal::arceus-ground::incineroar::miraidon: vs Yellow Paint (L)
tbh this was not the best building from me. I wanted to try NDM because Ice Rider and Xerneas seemed to be the most threatening pokemon in the metagame at the time. Mega Rayquaza and Primal Kyogre naturally synergize with NDM, helping against matchups like Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, and other Ground- and Fire- types. The team just wasn't super strong because it didn't have an X-Factor breaker, which is crucial to have in ND Doubles Ubers teams. NDM was also deadweight into any pokemon that isnt Ice Rider Xerneas or Zacian-C which made it feel pretty bad to be honest, Zacian-C was probably the better pick.

After the last week, I realized i have just been building Tier 4 shitters for fun and I should just bring some goodstuffz so I built that. Caly-S + Xerneas is a very tried and true combination, I specifically always love using Z-Ghost CSR because it helps in OHKOing a lot of meta threats, most importantly Groudon and Miraidon. It also frees up the tera on the Xerneas slot, making it even more lethal with less opportunity cost. My "innovation" this week was IDBP Zamazenta. In testing, I found the mon to be way too passive and lacking in damage against things it should do pretty good against like Mega Rayquaza and Primal Kyogre. Iron Defense not only boosts your bulk into the miriad of physical attackers like Zacian, Rayquaza, and Caly-Ice, it also boosts your damage output significantly into those threats. This simple move change helped it feel way more like an actual piece on the board rather than a Wide Guard bot. Black Glasses Yveltal is also great in covering both Calyrexes which to me are the prime threats to most teams.

After loading so much Shadow Rider Tailwind stuff, I decided that it was time for Ice Rider. A neat idea I had to build Ice Rider with was using AV Miraidon to completely lock down the RayOgre matchup. The rest of the team kinda built itself, I wanted Arceus-Ground since Frixel seemed to love Z-Dragon Miraidon and 252 HP Arceus simply just lived that hit every time, also had Tailwind to act as another mode to support Miraidon and itself. Ho-Oh is an interesting mon, Pressure is actually super funny because you can kinda stall out a lot of mon's PP of their signature moves, I mostly used this against Calyrexes in testing, though Regenerator in hindsight might've still been the better pick. Mega Kangaskhan is a pretty cool mon, Seismic Toss does a lot of flat damage to just about everything and my Kang even had Helping Hand to boost the power of my damage machines even further.

:groudon-primal::zacian-crowned::miraidon::calyrex-ice::whimsicott::arceus: - vs PigWarrior (W)
Okay enough bulky its time for Hyper Offense (but it has Calyrex-Ice so it is okay actually) I really wanted to build Eruption PDon. It isn't actually like that broken I'd say but it is good enough that I wanted to build it. The first five were simple pickings, Zacian is great into Rayquaza, Miraidon is Miraidon and Z-Dragon is a cool choice to OHKO PDon for my own PDon and Zacian. Whimsicott is my Tailwinder, Calyrex-Ice both acts as a great broken attacker next to PDon and Miraidon, and its also sorta a Trick Room counter. The last slot was tricky though. I needed a really solid PDon and Calyrexes matchup mon that also isn't setup fodder for Xerneas because it is very easy for Xern to turn around games against frail teams. I landed on Tera Fire Electric Seed EKiller. EKiller is a great cleaner as is and has a good matchup into pretty much every set of CSR. Electric Seed makes Precipice Blades and Glacial Lance tickle, and with Tera Fire you can resist Xerneas and Zacian and Calyrex-Ice attacks and also be immune to burn from Incineroar and Ho-Oh. Worked out great to be honest, proud of this team.

A few things I wanna mention about the metagame before closing out the post!

:sv/calyrex-shadow::sv/calyrex-ice:
I think these pokemon are the most broken in the tier. They do so much consistent damage and abuse tera so well and snowball completely out of control whenever they're positioned. Caly-S acts as natural speed control as it naturally outspeeds the entire tier and threatens tons of damage onto a lot of mons. Caly-I is great as a countermeasure to the offensive nature of the tier, setting Trick Room leaves teams with few options to actually deal with it spamming Glacial Lance. It also has a lot of natural bulk, so even without Tera-ing it can narrowly live a lot of the stronger attacks in the tier, such as Zacian's Intrepid Sword Behemoth Blade and Primal Kyogre's Hydro Pump, and it can even EV a bit into Special Defense to live a Choice Specs Electro Drift from Miraidon 100% of the time. They contribute so much to the offensive momentum a team can have as the only way to consistently beat them is to lose momentum switching out and using moves like Wide Guard.

:sv/yveltal:
Super underrated mon, mostly because of the above. Calyrexes are so dominant, and Yveltal is a great way to shut them off one way or another. Yveltal can carry Foul Play to force Calyrex-Ice to either Tera or fold in a single attack, and it can carry Sucker Punch to completely shut down Calyrex-Shadow. It is probably the only mon that isnt forced to lose momentum the moment Calyrexes get to attack. It also even has Tailwind to act as speed control while doing all this work, making it work great with strong attackers such as Miraidon, Mega Rayquaza, and Zacian.

:sv/zygarde-complete:
This mon NEEDS to be explored more. It has obscene bulk and theoretically if it gets set up and teras it is unstoppable. Any team that can put Zygarde into correct conditions semi-consistently should be able to prosper simply off of the fact that it is so damn difficult to remove.
