Gamestop Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament!

I'll be playing in Newark CA. If I can get past round 1, the last round is going to be the only hard one because I'll be practicing a lot.

Out of curiousity, how will you practice if the game hasn't been released yet? Unless you imported it... Anyway, I will be playing in the one in Woodbury, MN. I doubt I will do very well, let alone win, but it'll be fun and some of my friends are going so it should be cool.

Maybe I phrased that the wrong way. Round 1 is the only round that I'll have played at a time in which I won't have SSBB. After that I'll just pick up my reserve copy and practice a hell of a lot.

Btw. my plan for the event is to use Ike. Any suggestions? Lucario has projectiles but isn't as heavy, and I know with a 1 minute match I could just SPAM Super-Armored Aethers.

Initially I wanted Gdorf but I don't wank some lazer-weilding Fox user to just SPAM and camp for a minute. At least Ike can theoretically catch him. I wonder if Wolf will be available...

Only the starting roster is available to play. It's probably best to use King Dedede or Ike because they can KO fast and are heavy.

If you signed up during the week when "registrations" were first open, you have to sign up again on Saturday. Those ones during the week were just interest forms.
 
Hamilton, NJ. So only the starting roster is available? That sux. We do know that they'll at least unlock Ness during play. Maybe Marth, too. But that blows my plans of using Luigi.

Well there is a reason to still have Ness and the others with a "???" on the dojo. I don't know who, but there must be people still inside the anti-spoiler bubble, or i don't know.

The trophy shown in the Smash bros. thread is just awesome, i hope you all have fun in there.

I'll be at the one in Kalamazoo, MI if my boss lets me off work in time.

I doubt I'll do well. I mean I haven't played Melee in a while so I'll try to brush up on that today and just hope for the best. Hopefully they'll have the classic remote available to use because I don't want to use the Wii remote to play this thing.
