Is there any way of modifying type advantages on an online simulator?

Could be an interesting thing to play around with. How would it affect the metagame if Ice resisted Dragon? Would poison see some use if it hit SE on Bugs and Waters? What would be best to change were it possible?

Just a thought I had...

Poison SE Vs: Normal/Bug/Water

Poison Immune to: Fighting (Poison is a liquid/toxin gas *Weezing/Gengar*)

Water Immune to Fighting (Liquid, punching through water hurts your hands, not the water, lol).

Fighting resistant to Grass (*chop through those vines)

Steel weak to Electric. (Water is weak b/c water conducts electricity, same for metal).

Flying Immune to Grass (Fly over those trees)

Lightening and Dark resist eachother.

Lightening SE Vs Grass. (Thunder catches trees on fire).

Steel resistant to Fighting. (Can a martial artist punch through a steel wall? Didn't think so. Neither can Hitmonchan vs Steelix)

Ice SE Vs Water

Ice SE Vs Fighting (Can you still fight with frozen hands and feet?)

Etc.

gcvtunm, Ice is already arguably the best attacking type, if it was SE vs Water (something that resists it now) and SE vs Fighting (something that it is weak against) than it would be teetering on the line between very good and overpowered.

Poison SE Vs: Normal/Bug/Water
Makes sense.
Poison Immune to: Fighting (Poison is a liquid/toxin gas *Weezing/Gengar*)
No, there are plenty of poison bugs - how would that explain their newfound immunity to fighting?
Water Immune to Fighting (Liquid, punching through water hurts your hands, not the water, lol).
Most water types are fish, fish can be punched.
Fighting resistant to Grass (*chop through those vines)
Meh.
Steel weak to Electric. (Water is weak b/c water conducts electricity, same for metal).
Makes sense.
Flying Immune to Grass (Fly over those trees)
Meh.
Lightening and Dark resist eachother.
Meh.

Yes, very yes.
Ice SE Vs Water
Yes.
Ice SE Vs Fighting (Can you still fight with frozen hands and feet?)
No, martial artists can adapt to harsh weather conditions. Ice doesn't need to be any stronger than it is.
Etc.

I wasn't finished, yes more things need to resistant towards Ice, infact, Ice should be Immune to Ice. (can you freeze a Regice)?

Ice Immune to Ice

Fire Immune to Ice

Flying Resistant to Ice (Can't bird fly over Glaciers?)

Bug Immune to Poison (They can usually create their own toxins, plus many bug types are poison and it would make sense with the below suggestion).

Poison Immune to Poison (Can a Weezing/Muk get anymore toxic??)

Steel Immune to Grass (Can Leech seed drain life from a Magnezone/Registeel?)

Grass Resistant to Normal (What can a Jigglypuff/Stantler/Furret/Linoone do to a Forest except live in it?)

Grass Immune to Ground (Trees are deeply rooted in the ground... Also Ingrain should have a 2nd effect to prevent EQ/Magnitude (maybe not all ground moves like Mud Slap), is an EQ really gonna do something to a pokemon that is deeply rooted in the land? I don't see a Torterra getting up-rooted anytime soon).

I dunno, u guys think of some more. Just focus on logical fixes to weak types-
For example:
I Gave Grass a much needed boost, as it only had 3 types it was SE versus, and 5 weaknesses

Steel doesn't need more resistances.

Immunities are probably best kept to a minimum.

Fighting SE vs Steel because they can break the hardest materials (ice, rock, steel) with their strength/skills. Just imagine them bending the steel or some such.

I'd like to see Steel with more weaks (electric and water - since steel conducts/rusts) and rock/ice with more resists (like both resisting Dragon).

Though then rock/steel would be an even worse defensive typing than it is now if so...

(can you freeze a Regice)?

*Regice gets frozen in a block of ice*

Fire Immune to Ice

Given enough Ice, it would actually be super-effective against fire, seeing as it turns to water when burned. But, because of that...

Flying Resistant to Ice (Can't bird fly over Glaciers?)

Don't birds usually need to fly south for the winter?

Bug Immune to Poison (They can usually create their own toxins, plus many bug types are poison and it would make sense with the below suggestion).

And the buggies that aren't producing their own poison?

Steel Immune to Grass (Can Leech seed drain life from a Magnezone/Registeel?

I'm going to continue campaigning for a simple resistance because I love watching those scenes where all the machinery - left alone for years - have been covered with vines and junk on the movies. It'd take awhile, but nature could eventually reclaim the cities.

Grass Resistant to Normal (What can a Jigglypuff/Stantler/Furret/Linoone do to a Forest except live in it?)

Other than get hit by vines, cut by razor leaves, leeched off by seeds, prick themselves on thorns...?

Water Immune to Fighting (Liquid, punching through water hurts your hands, not the water, lol).

You seem to be assuming water types are made out of water, rather than being fish with an affinity.

Fighting resistant to Grass (*chop through those vines)

Uh, try chopping through a few more things than vines. Ever bring down an oak with your bare hands? Kinda tough imagining that.

Lightening SE Vs Grass. (Thunder catches trees on fire).

Psst, lightning, not thunder does that. In that case, yes. But when you think about it, wood does not conduct electricity.

Steel weak to Electric. (Water is weak b/c water conducts electricity, same for metal).

Interesting note is that water turns back into its base gases when a strong current is run through it, while metal... doesn't.

Just felt like inserting an opinion there.

Peronally I think any type changes should attempt to balance the types. Make Poison better on attack, Grass better on both sides IMO, and Steel probably doesn't need so many resists.

FYI, that's already the case.

I'd like to see Steel with more weaks (electric and water - since steel conducts/rusts)

Steel doesn't rust as fast as some other metals. That's why we have all of these giant bridges around for decades. Steel resisting water does make some sense.

As for conductivity, that's a different issue.. Steel retains its shape with a current flowing through it, whereas water evaporates.

and rock/ice with more resists (like both resisting Dragon).

How does rock resist dragon? >_>

I wasn't finished, yes more things need to resistant towards Ice, infact, Ice should be Immune to Ice. (can you freeze a Regice)?

Ice Immune to Ice

Not a bad idea I guess.

Fire Immune to Ice

Why? I would think hitting fire with something cold would weaken it at least a little.

Flying Resistant to Ice (Can't bird fly over Glaciers?)

Not if their wings are frozen.

Bug Immune to Poison (They can usually create their own toxins, plus many bug types are poison and it would make sense with the below suggestion).

This doesn't mean they should be immune to all poisons.

Poison Immune to Poison (Can a Weezing/Muk get anymore toxic??)

No, but the right poisons could probably destroy it.

Steel Immune to Grass (Can Leech seed drain life from a Magnezone/Registeel?)

Now you're getting to specific. Since when was Leech Seed to only Grass-type move in the game?

Grass Resistant to Normal (What can a Jigglypuff/Stantler/Furret/Linoone do to a Forest except live in it?)

Eat it.

But your thinking is still to narrow. Why does it have to be one of those few pokemon? Who said anything about forests? Not all Grasses have anything to do with them.

I would say that a good strong earthquake could uproot a tree.

I dunno, u guys think of some more. Just focus on logical fixes to weak types-

Some of your "logic" needs to be focused on again. You aren't being "logical". You're looking for weak excuses to boost certain types.
