Welcome to Tours Plaza Winter Seasonal round 6! The tiers for this seasonal will be

TIER SPECIFIC RULES

Camove Chaos

  • You can find out how to play and general bans for mons, abilities, items and moves Here

    Mystery OU
  • Each week there will a change to the standard gen 9 OU tier, ranging from bans/unbans of pokemon, moves or other things

    Bring 12 pick 6 mayhem Random Battles
  • Gen 9 Mayhem Random Battles ruleset, where you bring 12 pokemon and pick 6 to battle with.


    TOURNAMENT SPECIFIC RULES
  • Best of three, double elimination.
  • All rounds will be First to 2 Wins.
  • Matches can be played on either Pokemon Showdown! or Smogtours.
  • Replays are required.
  • Each week one of the 3 formats will be randomly chosen to be played first , loser of that first game will choose the second one.

    Mystery OU will be NOT be from the iron chef menu this week, AND since Street gave you such an enjoyable addition last week...
    Instead we'll be going with LEVEL 5 OU! Your entire team will be forced to be set to level 5! YOU MUST MANUALLY SET ALL POKEMON TO LEVEL 5.

TPWS Round 6 Predictions! cuz of obs still being stupid i cant record but heres it in text format!
Winners
txitxas vs splodge
splodge after playing til now has told me that hes pretty good at these formats and also i've seen him play more in a variety of tournaments like Camove Cup.

SpaceSpeakers vs Rhik
I think spacespeakers will win this, i trust in him and hes proven to not be underestimated after the past 5 weeks of this tournament but Rhik is also very good so i predict that this will prob come down to a close match but I still think space might have a tiny advantage.

True Psycho vs The Hisui Region
THR is pretty good, fought them and know them on the other hand i suck, i'm probably pretty bad at these things and prob will just lose and experience wise i think i have more in Level 5 OU and Randbats Mayhem but after games and knowing thr, she can adapt to situations quickly and she can prob outclass me in skill in the long run.

choicebadkyurem vs koopa003
Probably CBK will win because i havent seen koopa play that much but he has gone undefeated so he is prob also pretty good so i believe this can come down to a close match like space vs rhik but CBK prob has a higher overall advantage in the other formats.

Losers:
Clas vs Docteur Grandhomme
I think Clas can win if he plays hard but Docteur Grandhomme is also good and I think it can and prob will be tough for Clas but he is prob good enough to beat Grandhomme, maybe, gonna be a tough matchup for either players but i think Clas might have a little bit of advantage in the formats and experience wise.

RoFnA vs King Griffin
I think it's prob gonna be RoFnA but Griffin can also win, Rofna prob has more experience in these formats but Griffin can also be good which is proven as he has won all of his matches except one til now but overall prob gonna be RoFnA.

bocoaa vs Alisyem
Alisyem and bocoaa ive both helped, tested with, and know and i know that their skill is great, they have amazing minds for building and battling so this is gonna be a close battle imo but I think bocoaa has an advantage in the Mystery OU and Camove as he is a pretty good OU player and has proven to have amazing talent in Camove too.

The Dragon Master vs Paxerion
I think it's prob gonna be The Dragon Master experience wise but Pax skill wise so prob a tough battle for either opponents just like Clas vs Docteur Grandhomme but overall imo i think experience is better then skill so I predict TDM to win but pax ive known for a while and has proven to be an amazing player.

Thats gonna be my predictions for TPWS Round 6 over and gl to everyone playing! :sphearical:
I tried not to be biased and just do bad predictions and try to list skills and advantages each player has against the other so it can be as accurate as possible, there will be flaws always but I hope it is clear and easy to understand for everyone so we all have the best experience.

(35) txitxas vs splodge (65)​
splodge is one of the best players left in the tour, an exceptional camove builder, and a decent clicker. i will be bolding him in almost every round because i believe he is one of the strongest omm players and i think he can go all the way. txitxas is a solid player from what i've seen but he is not very well versed in these formats and has lower odds to secure the win than splodge​

(95) SpaceSpeakers vs Rhik (5)​
spacey is one of my goats and one of the best mons players i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. even though he plays a lot of tours and this tour is unlikely to garner his full attention, i believe it will still be a simple win. rhik is a promising tours/tours plaza player but he lacks some general knowledge both in building and playing, and i do not believe he can square up to spacey in this round. 2-0​

(60) choicebadkyurem vs koopa003 (40)​
the two underdogs of winners. i entered this tour unaware of who koopa003 even was but he has surprised me in terms of his wins, especially against advt (the dragon master), and that definitely cements him as an at least above-average player. however, i will be probably be passing aubrey a camove team this round and she plays enough tours for me to confidently say that the trans puppy e-girl woof will win this round.​

(55) RoFnA vs King Griffin (45)​
Tgk has been improving in skill a lot lately i fear, and he is becoming increasingly well-rounded especially in camove and other tp tiers (of which level 5 ou is one). rofna is a historically strong rands and oms player, although camove and level 5 ou are tiers that tgk should have more experience in. i think that rofna has the upper hand in play, while tgk has the upper hand in prep. this leads me to believe that the set will be decided largely in part by how much tgk chooses to prep this round. i do not believe he will thoroughly prep, but if he does then i think he will have a decent chance of winning. that being said, with rofna's superior randbats knowledge and chance of outplaying in the two remaining tiers, i believe that he is more likely to win.​

(80) bocoaa vs Alisyem (20)​
i was going to give this a 50-50 and simply say "I've got no clue." however, upon further research, my decision has become abundantly clear. bocoaa has a much more coherent building and playing style, bringing decently meta-relevant teams and winning with good play most matches. however, alisyem is quite the opposite. they have brought sub-par, incoherent, and gimmicky teams throughout the tournament, often only winning because their opponent plays worse or builds worse than them (facing humptydumptyeater twice in two frankly embarrassing sets from the both of them).​

i am a friend of big stall. however, i cannot in good faith say that these are good times for them. these are trying times, and this is their most unfortunate encounter yet. paxerion and advt are both skilled builders and players. however, there is a key difference between them. the dragon master is not very prevalent in the tournament scene and spends most of his time in the teambuilder and in roomtours, while paxerion is an avid and frequent teamtour player. this key difference between the players would cause the former to stagnate and plateau in both skill and team structures, while the latter just becomes more flexible both in the builder and out. as a major advocate for big stall and a denier of big balance, advt's playstyle in most tiers has become predictable as his stalwart permits him to only use what he feels is his best and only archetype, while the flexible paxerion will be able to read into this and prepare for it. in a matter of minutes i was able to fully dismantle advt's highly spammed stall team, in the form of the aforementioned heatran. this is cause for concern, especially in the notoriously matchup-reliant tier of camove, which i believe gives paxerion a convincing upper hand. no matter how many great walls that advt builds, he is unlikely to trump this opponent, and he will be thoroughly jonkled by the persona man.

Mb if i didn't get it correctly, but basically we can only use pokemon and moves available at level 5 or is it that we just set the pokemon to level 5 and there are no other restrictions?

Ngl all of my OU teams have been amazing. You can't say anything about that cause I stole them all from RMT, aside from my choice team which i tested on Pure Psycho, beat him, and beat humpty afterward. I play a lot of OU and they aren't gimmick teams lol.

Now my Camove team is a bit weird but I think it just needs a bit of work to be better. Idk what's gimmicky about it though, cuz I stole a lot of it from the VR and Camove Cup.
