Has anyone else noticed that every core generational mechanic since Generation VI has started with a metric prefix?
Generations VI and VII featured Mega Evolution.
Generation VIII featured Gigantamax.
And Generation IX featured Terastallization.
You might call me crazy, but when Generation X features Petabilities, I want you to remember who you called crazy.

in gen 10 they'll remove every pokemon except centiscorch

peta originates from the greek word for 5
as we know, you have 6 pokemon on your team
which means we have 1 pokemon out and 5 in the back (or 2 out and 4 in the back for double battles and 2 out 2 in the back for vgc but that's just semantics)
so
realistiaclly
that means the next generational gimmick is going to be putting the rest of your team's abilities on one mon.
