video games should be more expensive.

they actually should not even really exist. we are at least 100 years away from video games being a technology that should exist on a large scale: it is immoral that there are people in exploiter countries who play video games for hours a day while there are children in exploited countries suffocating and being crushed to death in tunnels in order to mine the minerals that make modern technologies work--minerals that then aren't even used for the benefit of the people mining them.

it should be a priority for gamers to learn more about this and to make efforts to educate others about it as a first step towards helping to solve the problem

I was going to post about how Mario music is better than Sonic music, but I haven't really played a Sonic game, so it wouldn't really be fair. To fix this, I asked the GaMetal discord for their favorite Sonic music.

One person responded. With a single song.

Yeah, so post canceled. I will say that nothing I have heard of Sonic music touches my top ten Mario songs, but I can't really say it's better since I don't have good knowledge on the topic.

On the back of this, Paper Mario: The Origami King has quite possibly the best soundtrack of any game. The songs are incredible, always fit the mood, there's like a bajillion of them, and did i mention that the songs are incredible? Because they really are

Also, another take: just because a game has good songs doesn't mean it has a good soundtrack. Pokémon Legends Arceus has some beautiful music but it's undercut by the encounter theme constantly interrupting it

honestly I dont really know origami kings OST. what I was mainly thinking of was the godlike OST of bowsers inside story, where every single song SLAPS.

but even not counting the Mario and Luigi games, who have some of the best music of any game series ever, you have The Ultimate Show, smb3 fortress boss, the final boss theme of nsmb wii, bowsers lava lake keep, world Bowser, the airship theme, and of course:

this is by no means a complete list.

now lets count the ones in the Mario and Luigi series.
the boss music of superstar saga, bowsers inside story, and paper jam are all stellar.
showtime is the perfect battle theme for beating up things as Bowser.
caclettas theme is incredible, esecially so in Fawful and Cackletta
overture to the end is great
another's requiem is insane
cavi Cape, fawful is there, and deep castle are all fantastic
the giant is great
in the final is insane, and the most iconic part of its game for good reason
Bowser Jrs journeys boss theme is fantastic
and then theres Destroy the Dark Power, which is genuinely one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Dragon Ball Z is the Loonatiks Unleashed of TV and every show ever is better off using it as an example of failure to learn from.

One Piece knows to keep the power scaling and stakes reasonable to avoid ending up like Dragon Ball Z. Naruto USED to know to keep the scaling reasonable and the powers interesting to think about, so it doesn't end up like Dragon Ball Z, or worse, Bleach.

the second part is true but at the same time profit margins are much too wide - production costs are unjustly low and the prices are really NOT reflective of cost at all
