Be13costa was right; y’all would abuse the free Pokemon mechanic. Next time, I definitely won’t let y’all be saved by running twenty unmons alongside your Flygon, Diancie, Cinccino, and Basculegion. :madge:
I'll have you know my "unmons" went undefeated to hit 1600s on ladder

1. lttm
2. heat
3. and because of poms disrespect towards low budget teams I'm giving a vote to mr 0 points team

what is shenj’s addiction to eject pack close combat. also, even though their teams always look cool, I just know that they have insanely bad matchups in the meta somewhere

S-Tiers. Unmons. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should flex by running mono ZU.

1. LessThanThreeMan, Basically how I build TR but with a hattrem over mesprit
2. Shengineer, Revival Blessing + Selfdestruct scarf Overqwil is really funny
3. milliongatejumpguy, Flame Orb Jolteon my beloved

S3W7: Money Matters, Results
We were a day late and a dollar short but the results are in! This week came down to another tiebreaker vote (thanks yamomshoen / montage hustle!) I guess y'all are like me and like a good pun! Best part of the team here is the name hehe (I actually had a lot of fun / success with this on ladder. Teams are NOT prepared for trick room right now.) Heatranator's team was a close second!

Season 3 Week 8: Berry Bonanza!
I am berry excited about this week! It is berry season! I think this is the time of year strawberries and stuff are ripe, right? It's spring anyways so close enough!! This week we are utilizing some of these unique and underutilized item options. We have options like the variety of resist berries, stat boosting berries, and the potentially boring sitrus berry! Your team must include at least 2 different berries to qualify. There are no restrictions other than that!

Return of the Blim
:cinccino::ninetales-alola::drifblim::hariyama::flygon::diancie:

Been enjoying some DPP NU recently and why not try the drifblim set here? Fairly standard veil HO support here, veil a9, cinc to keep rocks off, and diancie to not lose to opposing HO. From here we have sub cm petaya drifblim which is a really fun set and can win games! Notably it almost gets the 2 shot on incin at +2 (and with the berry getting +2 isnt a big ask.) We also have drum yama as a breaker/priority (and that can benefit from diancie's trick room sometimes) and a dd flygon to pressure zong for diancie as well.

Replays: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Excuse the low ladder no one was online lmao. Lost in game 6 but it was just because of the last turn crit lol. In hindsight i should have clicked cm with drifblim vs chandy at the end since i'd live and be able to KO back post tera but i figure shadow ball into blizzard would kill and it couldn't lock into a move that would kill both of them behind veil.

Double Berry, Double Removal HO
:avalugg hisui: :cinccino: :scyther: :hariyama: :munkidori: :typhlosion hisui:

I didn't want to commit the brainpower to thinking about what mons should have berries, so I made a simple HO team. Havalugg is our lead option of choice due to sturdy custap berry. Body press is chosen over rock blast to hit the steels of the tier for good damage. Cinccino is the second removal of the team and has bullet seed over encore to deal with the water types and diancie effectively. Since we have double removal, sycther is extremely viable on this team. It's just a standard set but with tera fire in order to take fire type attacks while also ignoring will o wisp from incin. Hariyama is the other pokemon with a berry. This is just a standard set. Next I went with munkidori. Due to double removal, we can reliably run focus sash in this slot, which allows munkidori to basically always revenge kill something. Tera blast fighting allows for a much more reliable fighting stab to hit steel types. Finally, hyphlosion is here to be a good cleaner, with scarf eruption doing that very effectively. Standard scarf set here.

:flapple: :indeedee: :tauros-paldea-aqua: :grafaiai: :overqwil: :cinccino:

You gotta run the Ripen guys if berries are involved. Flapple is one of my top Gen 8 mons design-wise but it's usually really hit-or-miss. That's where Ripen comes in. No more Hustle. Tera Steel to sub on Mogus if they don't Foul Play - and even if they do, you are just powering up your Acro and will get the +2 in the end anyways.
Psy Terrain is great for when you don't want to run Sucker (and this set can't fit it), so might as well add terrain to the mix. Graf will come along for the ride, then. This is a good addition to help pressure checks like Muk.
The second Berry mon is Tauros-W - another one with an berry ability. This set bulk-maxes and gets the speed from the Salac. The main issue with this set is you have to have broken specific mons (eg Alt, Decid, etc) before using it. Caveat emptor.
Spikes from Overqwil, and finally Cinccino because I'm bad and Talonflame isn't in the tier.

Registeel at home + tera normal prio spam

Decided to try out demon Torterra, now that Registeel is gone it seemed like a fun alternative. Gets Shell Armor so crits don't ruin your day. (It also 1vs1's tr diancie if it's not terra ghost which is kinda funny)

Team is build around forcing ghosts in to tank a toxt boom burst/tauros cc/heracross Facade and then whittling them down with muk. Avalugg set lures and deals with diancie and zongs which tend to be a problem for toxt. Tauros and Heracross are both decent knock off switches (once hera is burned that is) which helps proc the berries.

Team is kinda slow but has a lot of prio users which helps offset that fact.

Ice punch on Muk is for the one person in the tier running Altaria. Negative nature to speedtie with diancie in TR. Iapapa is weirdly effective honestly.

Replays:
1. Torterra's still standing.
2. VS trickroom
3. Another certified Torterra clutch moment

Season 3 Week 9: Flamigo Fans
This week we are building with a mon that seems to becoming more and more of a meta threat!

:sv/flamigo:

Famigo has amazing dual stab coverage especially with scrappy (gg ghosts!!! gg intimidate!!!), access to u-turn, recovery, boosting moves and lots of other cool options. Band and scarf are both good and popular options, and it would look great out on the lawn! Build the best flamigo team possible and post them here! We understand certain cores are common with flamigo (munkidori + flamigo in particular), and while its more than ok if some of these teams overlap in that regard, try to make sure submissions are sufficiently different from previous submissions. If you have questions feel free to shoot me a message! (it is a busy week for me irl so a message here or on discord is probably the most reliable way to contact me, but ofc on PS is fine if you see me!)

Submissions are open now and close Tuesday April 22nd at ~10pm-4. Have a happy Easter/Passover weekend if you celebrate those and happy building!

Also don't forget to vote in our poll above about the future of NUTC tournaments!

Faith and the virtues
:bellibolt:-:wo-chien:-:flygon:-:flamigo:-:brambleghast:-:porygon2:
Built this a while back in mid-march because there was a user who liked using Specs Wo-Chien, so i gave it a go; it does feature Choice Band Flamigo, so it is not out of place here.

The main idea behind the team is to spread paralysis with Bellibolt's Static and P2's Thunder Wave, so that the NASCAR Snail can outspeed and kill the now slower mons. It's especially effective against the likes of Cinccino and Inteleon, for example.
Flygon's there to revenge kill and set rocks, CB Migo is there to screw over certain Muk, and bramble gives you a relatively standard spinner. It's also very funny to Poltergeist (provided it hits) on a ghost switching in, expecting a Rapid Spin to get rid of the hazards that are already on the ground.

I had built the team not expecting much, but oddly enough it's been reasonably effective.
Below you can find a replay of Wo-Chien sweeping the endgame:

Future sight munki balance
:munkidori:-:flamigo:-:vaporeon:-:rhydon:-:copperajah:-:altaria:

I had wanted to build a team around a future sight user and this was the result, flamigo and rhydon can both threaten the majority of dark and steel types who would want to eat the future sight, and altaria can trap bronzong if it stays in to take it and remove it with perish song. Vaporeon with a +spdef nature to avoid giving porygon-z a download boast and also gives vaporeon more favorable rolls to avoid a 2 hit ko against some special attackers and copperajah as a spdef steel and rocker to provide the defensive backbone for the team. Also flamigo has endeavor because I could not think of a 4th move I really cared about when building and surprise endeavor sounded fun so yeah, endeavor.

Scarf Toxtricity Voltturn
:toxtricity::incineroar::uxie::flamigo::gastrodon::copperajah:

This offensive team centers around a pivoting core with Scarf Toxtricity and Banded Flamigo, but its defensive core is also quite sturdy. I brought it vs Showl for FCL and had a pretty convincing win.

:toxtricity::choice-scarf:
The offense of this team is run by Choice Scarf Toxtricity, who can catch surprise kills and force switches while repositioning with Volt Switch and has late game cleaning potential with Tera Normal Boomburst.

:flamigo::choice-band:
Choice Band Flamigo is a great complementary breaker for Toxtricity with its Ground immunity and ability to 2HKO the entire tier. If you can get this mon in the right situations, it has very few switch-ins.

:uxie::colbur-berry:
I've been loving physically defensive Uxie lately for its role compression, adding Stealth Rock, a sturdy Fighting resist, pivoting with U-turn, and stallbreaking power with Knock Off + Psychic Noise. Colbur helps us tank Knock Offs from stuff like Alolan Muk and Incineroar, letting us use our own Knock Off to greatly limit their longevity.

:incineroar::heavy-duty-boots:
Specially defensive Incineroar is a great partner with Uxie, covering its weakness to special attackers like Chandelure and serving as a Knock Off switch-in in a pinch. The slow pivoting it provides is extremely helpful for our offensive core, and having more Knock Off is never something to complain about.

:gastrodon::rocky-helmet:
Gastrodon helps with our team's mounting weakness to Water-type attacks, and with Rocky Helmet helps out a lot in the HO matchup versus Cinccino, Scyther, along with having a way to punish U-turn spam. Spikes complements our pivot spam very well and helps us wear down walls much easier over the course of a game.

:copperajah::assault-vest:
Assault Vest Copperajah is a specially defensive tank that helps us out a lot in the OTR Diancie matchup (which it underspeeds), and also works as a solid switch-in versus special attackers like Munkidori and Porygon-Z. The additional coverage offered by Play Rough helps hit stuff like Wetbull and Altaria. While adding a third Knock Off user might seem redundant, it's crucial to remove boots for our hazard stacking win condition.
