Everyone’s like “omg she only writes love songs” like no, it would be more correct if you said “omg she only writes songs that make me depressed”

I used to only like Love Story but I got bored of it, the only Swift song I’ve got on my main 100 hour playlist now is Everything Has Changed and it’s mostly for Ed Sheeran who I don’t like that much either

thomyorke swift

featuring such classics as:
- Let Down Bad
- True Lover Waits
and of course
- We Are Never Ever Getting Everything Back Together In Its Right Place

the last one is a particularly sad song about dropping a jigsaw puzzle :(

I enjoy Lover for its message and story, but it’s not as strong sonically or lyrically compared to other giants from the album like Cruel Summer or Cornelia Street

you’re losing me and last kiss not getting a shout has to be criminal

the amount of times i have SOBBED to both of those songs is honestly embarrassing:worrywhirl:

Both of those I think are stronger songs to those already in the fan base than as stand-alone songs. In particular I love You’re Losing Me as well, but it’s not one I’d pick to introduce someone to Taylor

settle down phoopes it's okay not everyone can have taste like you

for real though, not including Lover in a top 45/50 songs of hers reminds me of something that happened to me recently:

I have a friend from college who I'm not particularly close with anymore, but there was a time where we were pretty good friends. We talk a few times a year at least. Anyway, she got married recently and I wasn't invited to the wedding. This was totally fine with me, like I said we're not as close as we used to be. Until I saw on Instagram that someone posted a picture from the wedding and they were "Table 48." Now, idk if y'all have been to a wedding recently, but the ones I've been to there have been at least 6, but mostly 8 people per table. We'll round up to 50 tables for the sake of convenience and assume 6 per table because that's the minimum... you're telling me I didn't make the Top 300???

That's what it feels like with Lover not making the Top 50

The weddings I’ve had the most fun at as a guest have been when I’ve been at the leftovers table

definitely think stuff like new year’s day and especially a lot of the deluxe midnights tracks (i think they honestly outshine a lot of the rest of the album) like the previously mentioned you’re losing me, w’ve c’ve sh’ve, dear reader, the great war, paris go overlooked

definitely some of her sleeper picks and some of my all time faves
