NOC E.G.O Wielders Mafia - A 17P Role Madness (Game Thread) - MAFIA WIN

Then again apricity is capable of playing relatively openscum styles(!). It usually goes well for him because people sheep him relatively blindly and if he tanks his own town cred by mislynching folks then it becomes more plausible that he wouldn't be night killed so it's a win win for him. That's exactly what you described above.
By openscum you mean like blatant/aggressive? Or do you mean he can play multiple ways? I think in Celevers game he was nuxls sidekick for most of the game which gave him cover to just sheep nuxl and syphon some of nuxls towncred

I, again, want to point out that apricity pinged me with his first post talking about how he wants to approach this game. It was basically a nothingburger. He essentially said "I'm not confident in my reads anymore, but here's my vote and I'm not going to explain why and I'm not going to ask people to sheep it" which frankly, that felt performative to me. He aggressively pushed his read yesterday and didn't really hesitate much or reconsider in lieu of the tracker claim. So if you peel the performative humble vibes back that post was essentially just apricity giving himself permission to be wrong and that's what pinged me.
Performative maybe. I can see that coming from town who wants to play the game but doesnt want to be responsible for being a town leader (tm). I agree about the Cele vote part though.

Ok actually I decided to look at pulsar instead because I can usually read her. I think her posts come off as a bit forced when shes mafia and I haven't really thought much about her today so here it is.

Pulsar was a bit fence sitty about my Celever post. I don't think I bounced around but Flandrs also expressed something similar. I hope pulsar isn't copying sentiments from flandrs.. but in general i find her post here townish. Scum more likely to just take a stand I think. Calling it NAI at the end seems like she is trying to think about it from multiple angles.

*Referring to fairy liking Neon*
Pulsar actually chatted with fairy quite a bit. I think that looks good for pulsar cause why would she chat up fairy as scum and then NK fairy. Wifomy maybe but as maf you typically avoid killing townies who you spend a lot of unprompted time talking with.

Neons case against NE was more about vibes than anything. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Fairy praised Neon and expresssd anti D1 sentiment. Again makes me think pulsar unlikely to kill fairy if shes scum and pocketing fairy.

How would new scum be different? Also, is Chem new? I didn't quite get that impression

Curious who Pulsar means by that
hopefully not me

Well she has been consistent about scum reading NE. Overall I do feel a lot better about Pulsar after this ISO. A lot of her posts are banter or yap but i think that's actually more on brand for town pulsar.

Im gonna reread a bit more until I fall asleep
You're definitely in the list of "sat on a vanity vote", but I think iirc you were trying to frantically read back so at least you have some reason

Fuck I accidentally deleted my whole NE iso

Basically in my eval, NE had some glaring holes:
He never provided a read on Flandrs. 220 was a glaring part of this. His first part of d1 centered around Flandrs and it just never ended in a read. Specifically, the concerning part of 220 is “so much so as forcing a conflict between the two [Flandrs and AP]” and then NE forces a conflict between Flandrs and himself. And then 600 he gives examples of bad reads from Flandrs and then never really uses the bad reads to form an opinion on Flandrs.
The other hole is his Celever progression, we go from
222: “Celever looks really good from how they approach ck”
270: “As I see it celever is playing into the role of a spectator which doesn’t really affect his position in the thread”
489: “re:celever vote I’m interested in that I think celever’s really not been proactive wrt solving”
601: “wow this guy has been shockingly unproductive despite how many posts they have”
726: “The problem is that so much of your posting just doesn’t really do shit?”
So like the jump from 222 to 489 is kinda alarming

So like these two holes make me very weary; however, the rest of the iso I felt like it came from a town perspective overall and not the way scum would be playing.

Also, to follow up with my Evie vote on d1

Welp AF can’t anymore can she
I like this post a lot and it's potentially changing my opinion of skipper from yesterday

At the least, I'd say I'm more sus on NE than skipper while yesterday was the reverse

I do think there's a chance where skipper/NE is s/s and this is bussing but it's probably not worth exploring this just yet

anyways so heres what im thinking - ne is a lil bit of a scummy person based on what i saw just now.

I like ap posts from the beginning and all to way now.

Hal - generally good reads so far.

Im town and the rest idk yet

do you think one of Hal/AP are scum? or is it a town/town fight?

Anyway maybe I’m pocketed but wisteria vote is good yeah

I don’t think Flandrs is the info vote anymore probably, the interesting grouping is a fairy / Evie and then wisteria is in this but not quite as much as the big 2

A fairy and Evie are disproportionately closely linked this game.

Both agreed on Flandrs (down to “I’m not saying he’s town but I don’t think the cases so far mean he’s scum”) which is noteworthy given Evie’s low number of posts. This could be whiteknighting from these two with a town!Flandrs in hindsight, but ofc it could be the level 1 they’re just protecting their buddy as well.

But then when I put attention on Evie the defenders were a fairy again, and wisteria. And skipper iirc too right? Not saying all of the group are scum, mostly that it’s another big connection between a fairy and Evie. But I’m partial to a wisteria vote because of her link to the duo in that situation, if we don’t just take aim at the duo.

The connections between a fairy and Evie aren’t egregious on their own, but they are egregious given the otherwise low content quantity of Evie. There’s no balance to the Evie/a fairy relationship, they’re just aligned in every regard so far
Hopefully I got this down somewhat accurately.

Unfortunately for you, this is actually how I intend to approach the game. So whatever you think about this playstyle, this is what I'll be doing.

When I say I'm not leading wagons, it means I'm not going around pitching votes.

I won't be pinging five townreads and asking them to work with me. I won't be shopping consensus votes across people I want to vote with me. And I haven't. That's what I would consider "aggressively pushed". I don't think by my standards that what I did to Cel was aggressive. I dropped a vote to gauge some reactions, I asked some questions to Cel, and then I dropped a case. That's how I'll be playing for this entire game and I don't consider this "aggressively pushed" at all.

I will drop reads, yes. I may be the first person to have that read on a certain person. And I will certainly be voting.

But I won't be forcing my wagons through. If a counterwagon wins, it wins. That's what I mean.

You mentioned again that I didn't reconsider after the tracker claim. That's correct. I gave my explanation below. I thought it fit meta:

Ok ill come out and say it now since with Celever establishing a link between me and a fairy i dont think a fairy will try to link with me further.

In #446, I gave the inclination towards town fairy, however im actually more suspicious towards fairy than i said (not saying im scumleaning but i am suspicious). I did this to see if fairy would try to pocket me further, given that they would probably know im very vulnerable to pocketing (joey would know)
This feels odd because I find it strange for someone being scrutinized for a lack of content to try baiting a pocket, especially from someone who has now flipped town.
