Why’s des town ap?
Texas is one of the best players from back when smogon used to be high quality to be fair
But town was his stronger alignment but he’s going to put in a good performance as either alignment
People tinfoil me a lot every game regardless I tend to never get like widely townread
I’d say I’ve done that every game ever probably yes
Ngl I've already done more this cycle than I intended to the entire game, I wasn't joking about afking and hip firing
This is one of the two reasons we have not gotten into an omgus feud already this game
The other is I don’t want you out early since you never play
Funny I always felt my mafia game was stronger. I was excellent at town telling and activity generation but just average at scum hunting, but as mafia I felt I had a powerful edge at perception manipulation towards a strategic goal, won a lot of scum games by pocketing people through reading how they wanted to read me or by shaping the narrative of the game to draw attention to me and sneak scum mates through

Fair enough, general narrative was you’re better at town at least I feel. You’re a good player as either alignment anyways
Though being good at town telling is a meme and is another way of saying “bad at mafia” imo
You are a good strategic player though ofc, and had carry performance as both alignments so not someone to let off lightly

cel recently completely flipped his read on Texas, but the only time he has approached the slot has been immediately after being put up as a target by Texas
this is textbook OMGUS - if memory serves I don’t think Cel has ever iterated a scumread on Texas outside of the times Texas has pushed him

Like yes it’s omgus, but why does that make it mafia, why does Texas not just suck - omgus comes from town more often than it comes from mafia, so when you are assigning the buzzword which is true celever has omgussed Texas you need elaborate why it’s a mafia perspective rather than something town could just do it

I’ve iterated why I think Texas is town earlier on, but tl;dr his posting has come from a solving perspective which I highly doubt mafia would be able to convincingly fake
I also have never seen T!Celever use this much OMGUS as a defense, practically ever - usually he defends himself, but outside of outlining his circumstances he hasn’t shown any sign of development on his reads nor has he been able to put out content that makes me want to keep him

Its weird everyone thinks Texas is solving way better than I see them doing, and even Texas themself didn’t disagree with me I guess it’s a meta thing
I find it hard to believe you have never seen celever omgus since every player does it but whether you are saying this now because you had no other good reason or you genuinely believe it and forgot I guess is the question

Celever felt like the correct intersection between activity and controversy to where shooting him feels like the lowest risk option if we happen to be wrong.
As for the emotional thing, I genuinely don't get why you'd be upset about being shot if you were town in this game? You don't die and you get the gun, so in my head the only reason he'd read as upset about that to me is if he weren't town and actually would die.
