i’ve always enjoyed reading people’s initial reactions to games and music, so I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone by giving people a thread to talk about the game & give other people like myself something to scroll through 5 years from now

I’ll do you one better. Do you like both of these genres? Do you prefer something a bit older or something newer? Diddy Kong Racing and Crash Team Racing may be games you’re interested in.

Safe to say I'm pretty hyped for this one personally, I loved Hollow Knight. Don't think I'll play it immediately as I'm still recovering from Donkey Kong but I'll definitely dig into this one soon.
Also I'm trying to make you the OP again but I am an old feeble man who is too impaired to figure this out anymore so hopefully phoopes can help when he's back on
I normally don't like individual threads for games cuz we have the videogame thread, but this one is pretty big and it does have a lot of spoilers so I'm fine containing it here in this instance
I haven't played much yesterday, something like an hour or so but I can say that as of now it was worth the wait, Hornet's movements feels more fluid and satisfying than the Knight and she don't feel like a simple reskin. Too bad I still suck at this kind of game tho
Saw someone post this one on FB and it was the first tierlist that I actually agreed with. This includes the runback in the difficulty ranking.
The only real changes I would make to it are swapping Widow and First Sinner, splitting Crust King into two entries, 1 for the Coral Tower itself, and another for the boss fight proper, and then moving the Fire Wisp boss to Free. The 3 challenge rooms were harder than Crust King was, but he was a fun fight so I give him a lot of slack. As for Fire boss, granted I did find him very, very late so that probably skews my perception, but I literally just pogoed it to death on the first try so.
I would probably put Groal in his own tier too at the top tbh. Fuck that nonsense. That was easily the worst part of the game. However, I did not find the secret bench so that also skews my take on it, but it still would not be a positive take if I had.
I also did not enjoy the Skarrsinger fight. My main issue coming down to her having too much goddamn health. If she had as much as Nyleth? Fine. Doable. 1600? On a boss with a precursor fight? That can parry/null half your attacks and anti-air you from the entire stage?? Fuck that. Took me way too long to beat her even with full confidence in her patterns because the fight just dragged on for so fucking long.
Also fuck Lost Lace, but final boss and all that. Teleporting-ass bitch
