Welcome to the Gen 2 Random Battle Open!
This is a Generation 2 Random Battle tournament. Matches in the first rounds are Best-of-Three (first to two (2) wins), changing to Best-of-Five from quarterfinals onwards). We strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Smogon Tournament Rules and General Guidelines. We recommend games are played on the main Pokemon Showdown server. Smogtours is allowed, but if players can’t agree on a server, main is the default option.
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon Wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format "[Gen 2] Random Battle".
3. The first player to 2 wins (3 for Quarterfinals onward) advances to the next round.
Winning a round in this tournament means gaining points equal to your current number of wins (so your 1st win is worth 1 point, 2nd win is worth 2 points, etc). This means, for every round you win, the points will be as follows: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28, 36, 45
The winner of the Gen 2 Random Battle Open will receive the Room Prize Winner rank and a joinphrase in the Random Battles room for a month, be inducted into the Randbats Hall of Fame, and be awarded points for the Random Battle Circuit V. The winner of the Playoff Round for the circuit will get a Smogon banner for a full year and their choice of either a custom avatar, a color change, or a disabled name on PS, along with a year-long Room Prize Winner rank and joinphrase.

1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls.
No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post UPLOADED links to replays of your win

i have a flexible schedule but i have a lot of work to do and i'm not dying to reschedule with someone who just wasted my time, top16 or any other time
i very much do not intend to reschedule and i think i have every right to feel this way, so yes July Zcarlett Nuage please come to a decision asap and tell me if i can take it or if i need to make more time for this guy

Pretty sure for tournaments, TD's just don't allow act calls when there's open availability on both sides and how amaranth is literally talking rn.

This is pretty absurd, given how I'm willing to reschedule for whenever. I'm sorry for getting the time mixed up.

no, you can just call activity if the opponent misses schedule. i do not owe you a reschedule even if i theoretically could (which i can't without sacrificing my irl, so i'm not going to, but even if i was sitting on my couch doing nothing the entire weekend, i still could take act, because that is how the rules work). have a good day
