the dlc is apparently available to buy on launch but the pokemon website makes me confused as to if the DLC is actually out on release or if its just a preorder for winter story content? What in the world did I just watch? They’re joking, right? They’re announcing DLC for this game… before the base game is even released. I genuinely want someone to explain this to me because there is no rationale I can think of to defend that. It wasn’t enough that this game takes place in a different region than I thought we’d be getting this generation. Kalos itself I can at least get behind the idea of. But this… they’re basically admitting the base game isn’t going to have anything to do.
That's standard industry. If that sounds weird to you, you havent bought many games recently.the dlc is apparently available to buy on launch but the pokemon website is describing it as actually coming out for real later?
Pokemon GO has had both Mega Slowbro and Galarian Slowbro already (it can't mega evolve) which is official enough for me, but I suppose we'll get it triple confirmed now that they have to make it exist in both Legends and Champions.Would be funny if that was a thing honestly. The choice to have galarian slowpoke instead of one of its evolved forms may or may not have been deliberate there.
If anything we'll get a official knowledge of "can Galarian Slowbro actually mega evolve?" which Nat-Dex had to improvise on.
ZA was planned for last year, with DLC coming this year. They delayed ZA and are now presumably releasing the DLC a lot quicker so it doesn’t clash with Gen 10 marketing that will start next year.…

The Direct overall was really solid, honestly, but that’s absolutely not because of the Pokémon content. But hey, at least the new spinoff looks mildly interesting and is an ACTUAL FREAKING GAME, thank the Lord![]()
You know me, I don't mince words.what a rude thing to say
Eh, I always looked at Go as its own separate thing (since it even has weird stuff like Shadow Pokemon that you will never see in mainline)Pokemon GO has had both Mega Slowbro and Galarian Slowbro already (it can't mega evolve) which is official enough for me, but I suppose we'll get it triple confirmed now that they have to make it exist in both Legends and Champions.
It would be funny if Galarian Slowpoke's evolution items don't exist but thinking about it that's probably what special evolution items the mega shard store might have.
For 30 it better fucking be a major side story / new areas, cause 30 in SV came with 2 entire new areas and their own storylines.Incidentally, the DLC will cost $30. $5 cheaper than the SV DLC, surprisingly.
So the English website has updated with news and they have apricorn balls (Fast/Lure/Level/Heavy). Yay?"When you purchase the DLC, you’ll be able to claim new Holo-X and Holo-Y apparel sets that you can use to customize your character’s outfit right away. Purchase Mega Dimension by February 28, 2026, and you’ll also receive a Luxurious Poké Ball Set, which includes a variety of Poké Balls that are especially effective at catching certain kinds of Pokémon. And once Mega Dimension’s additional story content is released, you’ll be able to continue your adventure with Team MZ in after you’ve completed the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A."
Website says Hoopa takes you to “hyperspace Lumiose city” so I guess there’s at least one new map.For 30 it better fucking be a major side story / new areas, cause 30 in SV came with 2 entire new areas and their own storylines.
I'll be honest i'm confident this was deliberately done because they know without a forced incentive after the initial curiosity noone is going to bother with online on ZA within a month or two. Being forced to at very least play is a way to keep it going for a bit.lmao what. The Kalos starters are probably some of the most anticipated Megas ever. And they lock the stones behind PvP?
Come on, I get the idea, you want people to play it, but doing it with such popular things suck. Specially because it means we can't use the stones on a first playthrough.
I don't even like these three a lot but this is such a bad move, Greninja is one of the most popular mons ever.
rather disappointing, I was hoping to use my favorite gen 6 starter's cool new mega in my playthru. really don't like this decision from game freak. The stone names are Greninjite, Delphoxite, and Chesnaughtite and cannot normally be obtained during regular gameplay but may be planned to be redistributed in future seasons.
One of my friends in Discord said it best- this feels like something that could realistically be part of the base game and serves as a way for them to bump up the price of an already $70 game. Their words, not mine, “supposedly” they’re trying to avoid a Mario Kart World situation where the base game launches at $80 but all this does is effectively inflate the price to what will probably be over $90 unless you want an unfinished experience. Or, you could opt for the $60 version that lacks content and doesn’t run well!the dlc is apparently available to buy on launch but the pokemon website makes me confused as to if the DLC is actually out on release or if its just a preorder for winter story content?

"Fans will be able to delve even deeper into the world of Pokémon Legends: Z-A with Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension, an upcoming DLC adventure that adds additional content to the game. Hoopa plays an important role in Mega Dimension’s expanded story. This Mythical Pokémon can warp space using the rings on its horns and body, so we’re curious to see what sort of mischief it gets up to. During the events of Mega Dimension, you can also encounter two newly discovered Mega Evolutions—Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y!"

After Champions footage has seemingly implied that IVs may not exist there, I have to wonder if their removal is something that’s actually starting with Legends Z-A. Has anyone calculated the IVs of the Pokémon that have been shown by players of the demo based on their stats and levels?what an odd choice after they went out of their way to make things interchangable between all the switch-era games (aside from Let's Go). I guess something about how they handle Pokemon in there is weird.
granted we have no idea how big the story content is going to be or if its going to take us to new areas or not. its still scummy to do a day 1 dlc preorder regardless but I'll save my judgement for it until its out.One of my friends in Discord said it best- this feels like something that could realistically be part of the base game
I don't care? They still could have at least pretended it wasn't done immediately and waited until like November to announce it. iirc Fire Emblem Engage was sitting on a shelf for like two years and Nintendo waited a bit before announcing all its DLC stuff. Plus it's not like Pokémon is tethered to making announcements during Directs.I think that both the game and the DLC are already finished. According to the Teraleak Legends: Z-A was supposed to be out last year and the DLC was supposed to be out this past summer. I think Game Freak figured to announce it now so that when Pokémon Day roles around they can announce Project Gaia (aka Gen 10)
Okay, that actually makes a lot more sense, I will give them that. Still doesn’t change a lot of what I said in my post just before this one, though.ZA was planned for last year, with DLC coming this year. They delayed ZA and are now presumably releasing the DLC a lot quicker so it doesn’t clash with Gen 10 marketing that will start next year.
They're specifically season rewards for being "promoted up the ranks", but there are 26 ranks so who knows what that could mean.I do hope it's just "play X matches" so i can afk in ranked battles and be done within a few minutes, if you actually need a certain score i'll be fine without ngl. I already had 0 interest in playing PvP in this game, and even less in an action game on Nintendo's infamously bad internet.
IVs gone would make the existence of Characteristics more questionable. I believe there's been non-31 IVs sighted anyway. After Champions footage has seemingly implied that IVs may not exist there, I have to wonder if their removal is something that’s actually starting with Legends Z-A. Has anyone calculated the IVs of the Pokémon that have been shown by players of the demo based on their stats and levels?
