Calling All You Know It All's (For real this time =P)

First Competetive Team Ever. If you have any pointers, PM me please.

Last thread was against the rules, I apologize.

So, i'm going to take a swing at making a complete team on my own, which will probably an epic failure xD

Now that that whole "Don't post without a full team" thing is out of the way (=P) Please help me! lol

For bronzong change the Evs to 252 HP, 152 Atk, 8 Def, 96 Spdef so you can counter gengar better. Reflect will usually be better off over light screen or you can even put earthquake on it. For garchomp yache berry is the new thing so your sweep doesn't get ended by an ice attack early. Rhyperior isn't very useful and you have a fighting+gyara weakness. Try either weezing over Rhyperior, or Gliscor over Rhyperior and Starmie over Tentacruel. Fix the Cradily moveset since it gets walled easily. Ingrain isn't useful since it can't be phazed out anyways and annoying is usually not a good strat. Either replace it with Heatran/Snorlax or try a different moveset.

As the above poster said, Rhyperior isn't helping your team get anywhere, so you'd probably want to replace it. If you still want a physical attacker, Aerodactyl or Metagross are probably your next bet, the former being faster and the latter bulkier. Shuckle may be a good replacement for Cradily as a wall in Sandstorm, where it just becomes an absolute beast to get by.

Hm. What if I slap a Thunderbolt over Avalanche on Rhyperior? will that make him a more viable choice? I would really like to keep this guy >_<

And instead of Ingrain, I use rock Slide on Cradily?

If I do decide to go with Shuckle, would this work:

Shuckle @ leftovers
Impish - Sturdy
252 HP - 96 DEF - 160 S.DEF
- Gyro Ball
- Rest
- Toxic
- Encore

Well Rhyperior is really holding the team back, it just won't work. I suppose Shuckle is a good idea over Cradily. I would reccomend you use that instead. Use stealth rock on shuckle instead and save a move on bronzong since Gyro ball is terriblr on it. I still say you really need Starmie over Tentacruel.

Okay, I'll do Shuckle over Cradily, but I'd like to keep SR on Bronzong over Shuckles, so that i can start up with it.

NOw for Rhyperior will this work over him:

Hippowdon @ leftovers
Impish - Sandstream
252 HP - 80 ATK - 176 DEF
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Roar
- Slack Off

And as for Starmie:

Starmie @ leftovers
Timid - Natural Cure
172 HP - 120 S.ATK - 216 Speed
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

yeah, thats fine. seriously though atleast give shuckle knock off. gyro ball won't be doing much.

Awesome Party!

Alright, u have an awesome party! however, there is one thing that i recommend. for ur bronzong, it's only att is gyro ball, which is not ok. u need to have 1 more att move, and i recommend the att move to be a psychic type att, such as psychic or another move. however, it was very useful to teach ur bronzong stealth rock, and light screen is helpful, since bronzong doesn't have great spec. def, but ur choice, but i'd recommend teaching bronzong a psychic type att.

Big update! Blissey, Starmie, Hippo in place of Cradily, Tenta, Rhyperior respectfully.

Should I put the berry that halves super effectives on garchomp?

What is my biggest weakness?

So was Blissey not a good move? I kinda needed someone that can take special hits. And i really didn't like the shuckle idea =/

Well, it only opens up 1 weakness and its not like its gonna 6-0 you (you can still beat it but it will be hard to take down late game/when nothing can switch in safely.) Basically you just need smart playing to beat it since you have a majority of threats covered.

As standard as this team is, we're going to have to steer away from it. The main issue I see here is Lucario. Lucario would seem to assrape this team up and down. There are a few things we can do here. As it's not as offensive based anyways, I'd first replace Starmie. Now, we could go with a few options here, Gliscor, Gyarados, to lesser extents Celebi and Cresselia, who can both learn Thunder Wave+Reflect which could greatly help.

As for the Rapid Spin thing, just ditch the Hippowdon for a Donphan. Gives you a little bit extra Garchomp help, albeit not much, but it's something.

I'd also rather go for a Wish Blissey rather than a Aromatheraphy one tbh. Wish can help your Garchomp get in an extra sweep, let Tyranitar stay around a little longer and what not, etc etc.

I still kind of fail to see how you fixed the Lucario problem but fyi, Heracross can probably still rape the shit out of Skarmory with Close Combat.

It isn't.

This is what it does with Scarf.
383 attack vs 400 defense, 120 power(*1.5), 334 max HP: 37.13% - 44.01%

So if you're planning to switch into it, take another one, and then kill it, you're suicide killing yourself. You could always attempt to keep Roosting to where you won't kill yourself but leave it with very little HP left, or it might CH.

Now, if we go with the CB Heracross:
383 attack vs 400 defense, 120 power(*1.5 *1.5), 334 max HP: 55.99% - 65.87%

Clear 2HKOs, no doubt about it.

If you really want to get into it and talk about the rare SD ones,
349 attack vs 400 defense, 120 power(*1.5 *1.3 *2), 334 max HP: 88.32% - 103.89%

OHKO with Stealth Rocks down.

Swords Dance Heracross rips this team a new one. After a Swords Dance it can OHKO Skarmory, Garchomp, Hippowdon, Blissey and Tyranitar with Close Combat. Megahorn easily beats Starmie. CB Heracross does the same thing. IMO Gliscor>Garchomp.

Moment of Truth!

227.png

Skarmory @ leftovers
Impish - Keen Eye
252 HP - 96 ATK - 156 DEF - 4 Speed
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
- Spike
- Roost

~OR~

477.png

Gliscor @ leftovers
Impish - Sand Veil
252 HP - 252 DEF - 4 ATK
- Aerial Ace
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Knockoff

Keep Skarmory, just put Gliscor>Garchomp. If you don't do this, and you do Gliscor>Skarmory, you have 3 pokes weak to ice, 2 of which are 4x, and you become so Weavile weak it isn't even funny.
