Absolutely, but right now I couldn't guess what they'd do with it just like I would have never expected a Pure Power longlegs Mega Starmie. Would a physical Wind Rider Mega Chimecho have a movepool similar to Bronzong? Great Tusk? Malamar? Mega Starmie? Infernape? Etc

granted at this point we have no idea if zeraora, heatran, and darkrai are actually going to be in the dlc or in an update before it, given their stones were in the base game's code, and we have the beta build stats for them

DLC early work makes most sense to me. The stones aren't even "fully" in the game, jsut like the boss battle listings and they had similar scrub work done on all their other stuff

They already have 2 things to release before hand, I would not hold my breath that any of these three are a separate set of updates.

Cresselia got one thing, a nerf out of nowhere.

Honestly if they wanted to nerf a legend in Legends Arceus, Landorus was right there, getting his trio turned into a quartet.

The list is based on scrubbed Dex entries, so they should be available. If anything, Game Freak has a tendency of putting old Mythicals in game without adding them to the Dex (Meloetta in SV, Keldeo in SwSh), not the other way around.

That's not necessarily the case. It looks like the update to prepare for the SwSh dlc had deleted entrees for the legendaries and mythicals like genesect, neither of which actually got pokedex entrees. The legendaries were available of course in dynamax adventures, but Keldeo was the only mythical actually obtainable purely in game.

Life Dew was a substantial buff to Cresselia in Doubles play (aka the mode they actually care about balancing) and the nerf was probably just being cautious
 
So I found this piece of info on Bulbapedia:
The first 20 reward matches have fixed opponents and rewards. Completing the 15th reward match completes Main Mission 39 and awards the player with AZ's Floette. Completing the 20th reward match unlocks Side Mission 119.

Does anyone has a list of those 20 matches? are they in any fix order? Match 15 is Urbain/Taunie and Mega AZ-Floette right? any idea which are the 14 before and 5 after?

The Promotional matches are the 20 reward matches.
Taunie is definitely always fight 15, since the quest immediately picks up after it.

I'm unsure of how fixed the others actually are. I think I heard that Jacinthe was suppose to be Match 20, but I had her as Match 16 ( Ithink, maybe 17?) and Vinnie as Match 20.
 
I remember saying a bit before release that I didn't want any returning characters not from Kalos. This was in response to people asking for guys like Ingo & Emmet, I said that this region needed the time to shine and it shouldn't be infringed on.

Anyways I have meticulously thought it through since the DLC Mega list was datamined and I was wrong actually millions will starve if Guzma isn't the Mega Golisopod user

I know you're doing jokes here but if we started seeing a bunch of characters from other regions in the DLC while all the "should absolutely have been relevant here" Kalos characters are just vaguely off screen in an even more vaguely different Kalos I think I would snap.

Would you settle for Hyperspace Sycamore, a la Alolan Professor Oak?

But also: given that this is a straight up sequel to XY, it will be a missed opportunity when we don't get to battle Calem or Serena like we got to battle Red in GSC.

Well I do have a possible maybe crumb of good news on that front!

A few hours before the official announcement this account posted that news was "coming soon". They're claiming the main reveals to be Mega Chimecho, Mega Baxcalibur and Korrina

Could be mere lucky timing but you never know, the OP doesn't post super frequently in general. Ah well, not like we have to wait long to find out

I mean even if this is wrong surely Mega Lucario Z has to be associated with some Tower of Mastery/Mega Evolution Successor-affiliated content. When the base game roster leaked I called Mega Pyroar being for something Team Flare-related. If not her then surely a relative or new Successor

I actually would be fine seeing Hyperspace Sycamore! And hyperspace Korrina. And hyperspace Clemont. I have gone from not caring that much about Alexa at all to being deeply invested in Hyperspace Alexa's Hyperspace Newspaper.

Re: Calem/Serena I'm not surprised, presumably they didn't want to either pick a canon one or have it chosen based on other factors.
Shauna would have been cool, though.

They also didn't do this with BW2 and that was a game most set up for it thanks to Memory Link
