I have a quick question. I had a Jolly Aipom on Emerald with the moves: Ice Punch, Mega Punch, Seismic Toss, and Bounce. I migrated it over to Diamond and began to breed with it. After a couple of hatched eggs, I found one that had a Jolly nature. However, this Aipom had the same moveset as the one that migrated over from Emerald. As in it had the moves: Ice Punch, Mega Punch, Seismic Toss, and Bounce. Is this the result of a glitch(it has to be right)?

That shouldn't have happened. Are you sure the child isn't actually just the parent itself?

You just put the infected poke in your party and go into a battle with a different poke(I think) and some of your pokemon should be infected. That's what happened to me.

Yes, I'm sure. It was born and hatched on Jan.1 of this year. The parent was caught sometme around July-October of last year.

Cuh-razy! Do any of the other babies have all those moves?

How exactly does Pokerus pass from one Poke to another? Number of steps or something?

There's a chance after each battle that you win (but not battles that you run from or catch a Pokémon in). If the Pokémon with Pokérus is in your party, it has a chance to spread to Pokémon that haven't had it yet.

Ah, I see.

What I do is I just have the infectee in front, get in a battle, run, and hope for the best. I'll have to see if that works better.

You basically create a file from a pokemon using the save file (meaning you need to get the save to a computer) and then open that file using a hex editor. Theres certain things that hacks have missing in the hex.

Thats it really.

Interesting. Is this for every single type of hack? Like EV hacking, EXP gain hack, etc. Or only if the Pokemon was created by Pokesav?

Hey does anyone know if Metalkid's Damage Calc. has a problem with Grass Knot, because it's saying that Clefable with 252 Sp. A will only do 2.49-2.99% to a Swampert with 240 HP and 88 Sp.D. I've triple checked everything and it's all good. So is the Calc. messed up or is Swampert really that strong?

I believe Grass Knot's power depends on how heavy the pokemon is. It's like a Sp.A version of Low Kick. But Grass Knot, if I'm correct, usually OHKO's Swampert.

...Bounce is a 4th gen egg move...

It messed up. Swampert is big, and Grass Knot does 4x to it.

Where is the IV guy in emerald?

Exactly how much does he tell you?

Breeding Guide said:
2. The Battle Frontier IV guy (only in E)

In Emerald, you can check your IVs by speaking to a man who lives in a house just above the Pokémon Center of the Battle Frontier. He will give you an overall judgment of all the IVs and the best IV of one of your Pokémon.

He will say the following:

“Ah, youngster! Do your Pokémon's abilities intrigue you? Here, here! Let's have a look at your Pokémon!”

You then choose the Pokémon that you need its IVs checked. He will then say:

"...Hmm...This one, overall, ..."

and then one of the following four:

"I would describe as being of average ability. "
-> the total of the six IVs is a number between 0 and 90 (average IV is between 0 and 15)

"I would describe as having better-than-average ability. "
-> the total of the six IVs is a number between 91 and 120 (average IV is greater than 15 but less than or equal to 20)

"I would say is quite impressive in ability!"
-> the total of the six IVs is a number between 121 and 150 (average IV is greater than 20 but less than or equal to 25)

"I would say is wonderfully outstanding in ability!"
-> the total of the six IVs is a number between 151 and 186 (average IV is greater than 25)

Then the man will proceed to mention the best IV that Pokémon possesses. If it has more than one best IV, this will be random. Talking to the man repeatedly will make him speak about the other equally best stats.

"Incidentally, the best aspect of it, I would say, is its (HP / ATTACK / DEFENSE / SPECIAL ATTACK / SPECIAL DEFENSE / SPEED) ..."

He then gives a judgment about that IV alone:
If the IV is between 0 and 15, the man will say: "That stat is relatively good."
If the IV is between 16 and 25, the man will say: "That stat is quite impressive."
If the IV is between 26 and 30, the man will say: "That stat is outstanding!"
If the IV is 31, the man will say: "It's flawless! A thing of perfection!"

The man will then finish up his monologue with the words: "...Hm... That's how I call it."

This Emerald feature is very handy to check if your Pokémon has a perfect IV.

Hes near the Battle Tower (on the island). As for the info, he tells you which of your stats is highest. Atleast, thats what he did when I showed my Swampert.

Dude im screwed. Im breeding for rock head aerodactyles and then gonna transfer over to teach double edge. Im only gonna know one stat, I need speed and attack :[

Its gonna be tough, thanks for the guide

whats an easy way to get rare candies in emerald

if a parent doesnt like the ditto, does that mean the offspring wont either?

Can the emerald cloning method really erase your game?

Will a jolly good IV'd nicknameable double edge rockhead aerodactyle bring in good profit? Are there any others? I think itd own with a CB

Get one, then clone.

Yep.

Yeah, if you do it wrong, or twice without saving.

Probably.

Get a Synchronizer with the nature you want. Say you want Lax. (You probably don't, just an example) Get a Natu with Law and Synchronize, and put it at the front of your party. Then, the Legendary should be Lax most often.

But, I'm not sure if it works on Legendaries...

Tried that with my Timid Alakazam, but it didn't work. Both times I caught it it was exactly the same, so I must have SR'd at the wrong time.

Maybe its before it takes off from the island...?
