NOC WikiMafia 2 Game Thread [Day 2]

Does anyone else get different vibes from genisu's posting from D1 to D2? On D1 he seemed completely different to the pre-ban guy I remember, having magically become the perfect townie that a couple people were referencing from last game. Today his strings of reasoning have been brought down more to my level, which is to say sketchy at best. Especially in the last page or so of his iso (before these current posts)

maybe i get a little off when im getting pushed heavily, not sure (its hard to know thyself), but I'm just trying to do my best to solve the game tyvm.

In general I think dueling wagons under tight time pressure can be very beneficial for vote analysis, like I was talking about earlier. In this case though it seems like everyone coalesced onto chickening at the same time, with nobody even entertaining genisu. That doesn't mean we can't analyze but it's not as informative as it would have been if some people were running up genisu I think.

Seems very unlikely that scum would all get on the same person knowing it was about to be a mislynch. Especially if there were multiple scum on to coordinate, I can't imagine they would have more than one person vote for chickening under those circumstances. Like why open yourself up when the chickening lynch is clearly gonna happen? The last minute switches were (:57) AirC -> pulsar -> (:58) HH -> a fairy -> Psy. Psy was also replying to something which implies he might have started the vote post a bit earlier. So I think there are a couple possibilities here:

1. genisu is scum, and one of their buddies came in to save them. Most likely pair would be genisu/AirC or genisu/pulsar, but Psy could have been voting and just got sniped by AirC or pulsar. In this reality I really doubt that there's more than one scum on that list just bc, like... look at what happened lol, why would they pile more people on
2. genisu is town, and scum literally have no incentive to weigh in at all. In this case I would actually expect scum to be earlier rather than later. Voting early sets chickening up a wagon that might go through later; voting late just puts attention on yourself when four other motherfuckers are all getting on. So in this universe I'm more concerned about Tommy, Phoopes, and DbD.

Annoyingly this logic leads me to completely opposite lists, but I think early on more entanglement is good. Learning about genisu gives us some good information about other players either way. And genisu thankfully is pretty active.

Thank you for reminding me to do vote analysis Flandrs, I don't remember if I got around to it earlier but thinking about it in detail like this was very helpful. ngl I have been kinda overwhelmed with genisu's posting but I think I need to iso them and just come to some kind of conclusion lol.
 
I’m kinda not sure how to treat bliz

Because they are talking partially like experienced player with culture shock which means I should treat them as such, but some of their posts feel like kind of like “oh this is how town SHOULD be” which can be towny

But then they have worse posts like “oh we have the afks and the 1v1 to vote” like listing a whole bunch of people which is like a low, but also calling out realiti for having a poe

Liiiike, there isn’t really a 1v1 here anyways because I’ve consistently townread psy the entire day and never dropped it, it’s just basically psy scumread me for mech reasons, but that does not make it a 1v1 and 1v1 is when it’s reciprocated
 
Yeah idk, still not fully caught up but the more I read bliz the more it feels like he’s not actually read the me and psy stuff in detail or doesn’t fully understands it and just takes it as “oh generic mechanical thing to resolve” that he’s trying to stick us back into

Cause like yes I understand following it in some worlds but he’s made incorrect statements in what has happened, am I being picky in his understanding of it or not? Like he will say oh Tommy and flanders were mad at Pay for claiming that’s so mafia but the one who was mad and wanted the hood protected was flanders, I just wanted psy protected because I townread him

there were a few points (dont remember where) that bliz pinged me because it did feel like he was setting up for "tommy flips town means psy must be scum" which i guess inherent by framing it as a 1v1 and he did explicitly say he thinks there is scum between the two of us so yeah i guess that is what he believes

Blizihguh if we vote off tommy and he flips town, do you believe that makes me mafia?

really wanna be here for this bluedoom catchup but the sleeping pill has entered my body which hopefully means im knocking out soon (but i also just ate like ten cookies so its really anyones guess if thatll happen)

Yeah this, I think I feel more strongly about it since I do townread you so to me I’m really protective of the fact mafia are going to come in and try push the “give me my free mislynches yay” since others seem less interested

It feels like such a free push and it is but it feels like he’s treating it like just a little too free in that he isn’t addressing the exact facts of what’s going on and just go “meh mechanical” when he seems a more experienced player than this so should be diving a little deeper

Tommy I don't know if you've noticed but this thread has 80 fucking pages and this plot thread is a) full of very confusing mechanics and b) involves a private conversation that I cannot see

Well prior to this conversation right now I would have said "it doesn't confirm you're scum but it makes it significantly more likely." Now though you guys are both telling me that this isn't really a 1v1, so idk. If you no longer believe that Tommy is lying, you should say that? For my part, my understanding of the situation is this:
1. Tommy neighborized Flandrs and Psy, but Psy claims that anyone targeting him should have ended up on me.
2. HydrogenHydreigon says that their power makes Tommy target Me (Psy's target) and Psy target my target. So this is now two reasons I should be in the hood. Tommy says there's a hard cap of three people, including him. Still no explanation for how Psy ended up there.
3. Flandrs was pushing for the hood to stay secret and got mad when Psy outed it, even though it seems like the obvious thing to do imo.
4. Thread is content to basically ignore this because it "seems tvt", and people keep telling me I'm sus for talking about it.
All four of those things make me feel like the hood as scum. If I'm missing something I'd love to hear it. Tommy saying he didn't care about Psy outing the hood (is that what you're saying?) is new info to me, which I missed if it was said before. Again there is a lot to unpack here. But I don't think it changes all that much.

At this point I would rather follow the leads we have (bd/tommy/you) than go digging for new stuff. Not that I discourage other people from doing it, but having lots of wagons with few votes is worse than having a few wagons with a significant number of votes. And afaict I'm the only person pushing Tommy at all besides you!

I also think at this stage, the odds of finding something more promising are low. Again though I'm not discouraging people from looking at other folks. Just how I see the game personally. I mean I've been looking at dbd and hh myself, but am I going to prioritize that for my vote over the guy who's made 1 post and the fishy ass hood? No, not today, unless other people feel very strongly about it.

Also Psy, you asked my opinion on saber: honestly there are a lot of new names in this game and I haven't really kept track of saber. I will iso them and genisu tonight/tomorrow (I will be off work). I am interested to see that people are voting saber at any rate and I'm kinda just glad that town seems to be forming actual wagons instead of spreading our votes thin. In particular the impression that I get is that people who aren't likely to be scum together are looking at saber, which is a decent sign.
 
Blizihguh for clarity I’ve spent the entire day saying psy is town with false red on me, I was probably empowered or something dumb happening because of my 2 person in the hood limit

So it’s not really a 1v1 it’s just psy pushing me, and in the private hood most of my reasoning for him not coming out was protecting him rather than myself, which psy or flanders can both confirm

Flanders got mad at psy for wanting to come out and I even tried diffuse the heat flanders was creating
 
I think hydro is town based on his claim, mafia wouldn’t have got involved there probably

In my head it’s somewhat possible that I targeted both psy and bliz depending on how the hydro and psy roles interacts but it’s odd because I would’ve thought bliz should get added if it’s true only one of them gets it

i think you didnt get the mech solve i was pushing for (which is fair its some bs) but i am way too tired to explain it. you might want to read over my previous posts. my argument does rely on some interactions that havent been confirmed tho
 
and the end result is your target gets empowered so one explanation for the current situation would be it making its way to tommy one way or another (either you targeted tommy or got moved onto tommy or something). otherwise some other nonsense happened
 
but like we know phoopes has this ability that empowers stuff and assuming the rest of my chain of logic holds up which i think it does then some other role that beats psy's stuff would need to exist which i kind of doubt so idk
