Hello all! It seems we're back to this time of the year again. The trees are decorated, people are celebrating, and the Pet Mods PS! room is here with a brand new event, awarding a custom avatar on Pokémon Showdown to the winner!

What is the Pet Mods Advent Calendar?
The event consists on creating a brand new metagame, where users will submit fakemon daily based on prompts, which are announced daily from December 9th until Christmas Eve (24th). Then, after the Pokémon are submitted, on the next day there will be a poll where the two most voted submissions get into the metagame and also get points for the event.

The metagame's fakemon lineup will be announced at the end of Christmas Day (25th), along with the event's winner, which will be the user that ends up getting the most points during the event period.

Can i vote more than once? No.
Are Custom Elements allowed? Yes.
Can i submit more than one fakemon per prompt? No.

I got a few questions so bear with me.
Will I need discord.
Do I need a picture of the Pokémon and will it have to be pixel art.
That’s all have a great Christmas everyone!

Q: What state should the art be in? Obviously youre not expecting 3d anim models but does it have to be the final sprite? Is there a process to standardize submissions or is it just the initial art submission that'll be used?

Q1: Is this run, entirely through the forums/PS itself? Does it require any other platforms like Discord? (cuz if so I'll have to sit this out)
Q2: Will we need descriptions(Like theoretical Pokedex entries for them, or stat spreads) along with images/art of our submissions?
Q3: Are there signups? And if so are these signups? If so I'd like to signup. If not I look a little dumb lol

The event will be ran in Smogon and the Pet Mods PS! Room, so no, Discord is not needed.

Art is not needed at all. You can add it to the post if you want, but it is absolutely optional. What we're looking for here is all relevant information for a competitive mod, such as types, abilities, movepool and etc.
