Yeah I know that, it's more of a criticism of Browt & Gecqua since they both share with other starters (Rowlet for Browt as grass birds & Sobble for Gecqua as water lizards)

Overall I'm very pleasantly surprised by this Presents, usually I think they're really badly paced but nothing felt too overwrought this time (except for the Mega Chomp Z reveal) and I'm genuinely feeling really excited for gen 10. 2027 release is genuinely kinda shocking, choosing to skip the 30th anniversary release date and gives me some hope they're really honing in on the game's performance.

More so because aside from "Grass Bird" I'm not quite sure what species of bird Browt is. At least we know Pombon is a Pomeranian and Gecqua is a gecko.

This might be a reach but I think the legendaries will be water or flying types.
At least Treecko and Gecqua are different types of pokemon entirely, so the gecko reuse isn't as bad IMO. Because if we suddenly said that we aren't allowed to have any other gecko pokemon because of Treecko that would limit creativity.
My issue is more that this is the second time around we've had a grass bird for a starter, and a water lizard for a starter.
Hopefully their future evolutions will pick the lines up a bit.

As long as they let me ACTUALLY CHANGE CLOTHES i'm fine.
I love SV but man the fact the customization for the char clothes was practically nonexistant outside of the DLC outfits still irks me.
Praise ZA for fixing it (though man, what the hell is a "skort", like, do those really exist or did they come up with those just to not make actual skirts, cause I never ever saw one of those irl)
