Randbats Spotlight Tournament
Welcome to the nineteenth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Gen 9 Godly Gift Random Battle format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Gen 9 Godly Gift Random Battle in a single elimination best-of-3 series.

What is Gen 9 Godly Gift Random Battle?
One of the most beloved OMs makes its debut in rands! Every team will generate (at least) one Uber/Restricted pokemon in the first slot, which is going to "gift" its stats to the other pokemon on your team, depending on their position. The "God" will pass its attack stat to the pokemon in the second slot, defense to the third, special attack to the fourth etc. This format will have team preview to make things more balanced and competitive, but then you'll be free to pick your lead
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “Gen 9 Godly Gift Random Battle”. This format can be found under 'Ladder Spotlight', at the top of the second column. Alternatively, use /challenge Gen 9 Godly Gift Random Battle.
3. The first player to 2 series wins advances to the next round (3 series for Quarterfinals onward)
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before May 2026. This will determine the pace of the tournament.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
