Thoughts on Mega Abilities:
Clefable: They needed something really good to make you use a Mega that loses Magic Guard or Unaware. With Magic Bounce, Clefable is the king (or going by gender ratios, more likely to be queen) of defensive Abilities!
Victreebel: Innards Out really adds to the feeling that this is a joke Mega. It makes it very punishing to OHKO though. If it weren't or the defense buffs and IVs not being in Champions, it would be fun to consider 0 IVs in the defensive stats.
Skarmory: They're trying to make Stalwart work and ignoring Follow Me might give Skarmory a niche over Metagross in Doubles. The key word is might. Odds are Metagross is just better.
Chandelure: I guess they wanted to give a Fire type their Hidden Ability for their Mega because they couldn't do it with the Fire Kalos Starter.
Golurk and Flowette: It's pretty interesting that they gave these two the signature Abilities off Legendary Pokemon. Unseen Fist and Fairy Aura arer both prertty good from both lore and competitive standpoints, but it's still very surprising.
Meowstic: Why'd they have to be a worse Mega Alakazam? :(
Hawlucha: No Guard makes way too much sense with a certain over-detailed detail I can't unsee. You don't have that out there like that if you're thinking about defense.
Crabominable: Huh. The leak was wrong about an Ability that raises the Attack stat. It could do a lot worse than not keeping Iron Fist.
Glimmora: My first thought when seeing Adaptability was it's for when you need to say, "Okay, support time is over. Time to kill now."
I'm hearing leech seed was nerfed? Can someone verify?
