Is natural gift worth using for type coverage? I'm thinking of a mixed Shaymin. Its moveset would have something like that of standard Specs Shaymin, but with Natural Gift: Ground for coverage against heatran, which totally walls the specs version.

I think one Lava plume/Flamethrower or even worse, Fire Blast could OHKO it.
 
Talking about using it to hit heatran on the switch, not in its face knowing well it can ohko Shaymin. Its just a suprise attack for those who think heatran resists EVERYTHING Shaymin can throw at it.
 
If you use Natural Gift, you need to be sure it hits what it's supposed to and that it does a hell of a lot of damage. It takes up your item slot and it only has one charge, so you would need to make it worth it.
 
What happens when the opponent in encored into Substitute and deosn't have enough HP to use it on liike the 2 or 3 turn of it's encore?
 
does the nature of poke's like heatran, moltres, zapdos, articuno change if you soft-reset your game and re-catch them?

i know this is not the case for breeding an egg.
 
Is there a better EV spread for this SD Wailord? Because this is a very basic spread, and I'm not sure if I'm wasting my Speed EV's, or if I need any EV's in attack to guarantee a kill on something. it's IV's are 9/31/31/31/22/31, not like it will matter much though.
