On YouTube, there is a video of a picture of a supposed new game box. Giratina is in the cover, and it says 'pokemon zirukon' on it. 'zirukon' is zircon. Of course, this could all be a hoax, but if it is, they sure put alot of time and effort into it.

The only thing I see as a worthwhile addition to a new game is wifi battling without friend codes.

That is a hoax, someone did that on April Fools and this guy just copied the picture so there might not be the April Fools hoax around.

Sounds like Regigigas's new form will be an absolute beast. Shaymin part ice? Can anyone say flamethrower?
Maybe these new forms could be the reason the pokedex ends at 493 and not a nice even 500?
 
All of this sounds really potentially cool, but I don't think anything is solid enough to merit true judgment.

What I can say, however, is that from a business precedent standpoint, the previous three generations had a third game, and there is no reason not to expect a third one for this generation.

This is both from Gamefreak's business "money making" perspective and the precedent perspective.

Also, I'm going to go as far as saying that what happened last generation, with Emerald and then FRLG, will happen this generation.

We will get a third game, "Platinum" or whatever, and we will ALSO get the GSC remakes.

It would just make sense for Gamefreak to do this and milk more money from its Pokemon cash machine.
 
Lol, if this is true (probably not), Egigigas will be uber (with the new ability). Shaymin would be interesting with STAB Ice Beam, HP Fire and Seed Flare. It will be on all Hail teams.
 
I agree with Aldaron.
They know they'll make money on it, so why not?

Hoping for move tutors, and all the berries :)
 
Levitate..wow..and Shaymin having a chance of being part ice.. more fire weak but hopefully larger movepool.

Maybe decreased in some parts and raised in another...because the base stat total is probably gonna stay the same..and because of that that new Regigigas has a chance of becoming uber.

Fire weak sucks but think off the other benefits. A possible STAB Ice beam or at least hidden power, neutral to ice attacks and resistant to hail.

Regigigas if he had the same of similar stats would be quite the beast as well with levitate. I do hope his stats are decrease if this happens. I'd personally prefer another OU poke to another uber. Altough I'm sure uber players won't feel the same.

If there is gonna be a GSC remake, I would buy it, and I like aldaron expect to be a 3rd game.

I found D/P game rather boring...

You can't copyright a name, and DuskGold and DawnSilver (or viseversa) are not in the US registry for Trademarks (although Nintendo hasn't Trademarked all of its Pokemon... or even "FireRed"...). I'm 100% sure that info was fake. Additionally, the name "DuskGold" is not in the copyright registry... you can't copyright something you haven't made yet.

Wouldn't it more likely be Pokemon Opal? Giratina's name is based off of the girasol, or 'fire opal,' and since Diamond and Pearl had namesake pokemon it would seem to follow the trend.

RE: Ice Shaymin

If this part Ice form can transfer back to full Grass form, say GG Garchomp. Ice Beam instead of HP Ice? Show's over. LO Shaymin will get infinitely more powerful.

RE: "Skygigas"

Sky Regigigas might still have Slow Start, so that isn't comforting. Pure Flying type ftw >_>. If it does have Levitate and Regigas' current stats: GG Mate.

RE: Origin Giratina

It's almost if Nintendo and Gamefreak woke up one morning and decided "Hey you know who needs to get more screwed in Ubers? Groudon." My initial feeling is that this Giratina jumps up to Lugia Base 110 Speed and loses some of the massive defenses, but retains the huge Base HP (HP has never changed among multi-form or multi-evolution pokemon).

Maybe Groudon can get a new form that has auto-gravity X_x.

Nintendo went through the trouble of obtaining a domain name for
www.pokemonopal.com
but never bothered for
www.pokemonplatinum.com
but that doesn't mean much.

Platinum is a metal, which is unusual given Diamond/Pearl are organically originated gems
 
Hopefully, Giratina's BST will be shifted around a bit :D
And I also hope that the in-game battle tower is tougher...Seriously, Timid Rhyperior anyone?

My opinion:
-There will be a sequel and the poll is unnecessary
-It will require Fc´s... don´t even think about a Nintendo game without them... -.-
 
I also really, really, really hope that there's a 'special' variant of Intimidate in the next gen :/

I don't particulary care about the new forms in-game. They will catch my eye in competitive play, but for now I just want to go through the game one more time. And if there are some extras in the new version, then I guess it will be cool. For example; I'd love to see the new "Battle Frontier" thing. Volkner as Champion would be strange, and I guess Cynthia would be a "Pokemon Master" living in a cave like Steven did in Emerald, which you would challenge at the end of the game. (Lv. 78 Garchomp). ^_^

The likelyhood of a GSC remake with this "Platinum" would be a remarkable bonus, as it seems like Nintendo WILL make the advanced versions like they did with Fire Red and Leaf Green in the R/S/E saga.

If they return the Secret Bases battles, or something like having all of your friend's secret bases, this could be potentially the greatest thing ever.

@Giratina's new form;
Levitate? That means one more type for Giratina to switch in... oh well. I do like Pressure on bulky stuff like it, though, so I'm not sure. Hopefully the new form also brings some new stats and movepol.

@Regigigas' new form;
Levitate? Now this is awesome. Without Slow Start, this thing could finally find its place in ubers. I like Regigigas.

@Shaymin's new form;
lol ice. Hail Teams are going to become even more annoying if this is true. Since the other forms may be getting Levitate, it would be funny if they gave this Snow Cloak or something. But from the trailer of the new movie, I saw a Shaymin with "dark flowers"... so maybe, more than one new form?
