if your running the sub/salac reversal set on an anger point adamant primeape, what is the base HP IV desired in order to reach 1HP after fours subs? even or odd number?
A stat calculator like Serebii's would be so useful in figuring this out.

Anyway, to reach 1 HP after 4 Subs, Primeape's maximum HP must be a number divisible by 4--plus 1. (Example: 301)

Since Primeape's base HP is 65, a 31 HP IV yields a maximum HP of 271. 270 is not divisible by 4, but 268 is. Therefore, the best HP value for that Primeape would be 269; a 29 HP IV would yield 269.

tl;dr version: You're looking for one of the following HP IVs: 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 29.

EDIT @ JRT: I suppose a CurseLord would make great use of a Sassy nature. Speed seems inconsequential since Curse lowers it, and with the Physical side being boosted, a nature boosting the Special side just makes sense; the analysis does recommend a Careful nature for the Curse set, after all.

cardsoftheheart : thank you very much for this information. and ill try figuring it out on my own before asking next time. thanks again ^^

You have it backwards. Crappy speed = good Gyro Ball. Which works decent against Mismagius/Gengar. Focus Blast/HP Fight hurts though.

I had what backwards? I know how it works. I wasn't planning on using Gyro Ball on my Lickilicky, so Speed for it didn't matter anyway (which is why I was wondering should I put some EVs in Speed, but that guy said it wasn't worth it).

I have Gyro Ball on my Bronzong though, and used it on a Mismagius... it slowly chipped away it's health, I think it was like a 3HKO.

Maybe it was burned, I can't remember. But something really saved my friend that last time we battled. =P

I plan on putting 24 into Sp. Defense. I guess I could put the leftover in either Attack, HP or Defense, but I like being a little well-rounded (I already went over 8 points accidentally for HP but it's not like it'll hurt anything)

No problem. =)
(I'll probably still use my Bronzong more anyway.)

I've been training a larvitar recently, and when I checked its IVs, they said the attack stat would be around 28. This was at level 23. Now at level 33, with the exact same EVs as before, now it says its IV in attack is 17! How did this happen?

I'm in the midst of my first breeding project, and I wanna be sure I'm going about it correctly. I will first breed my perfect Speed IV Ditto with a Ralts until I get a female Ralts with perfect Speed. Then, I will breed my perfect Attack Ditto with a Duskull knowing Will o' Wisp until I have a perfect Attack male Duskull with Will o' Wisp. Finally, I will breed the Ralts with the Duskull until I have a perfect Speed and Attack male Ralts with Will o' Wisp, well on his way to becoming Gallade. Is this correct?

I need an Ev set. Please do your best here.

Gyarados. I want it to be very bulky but still with a bite. It's meant to counter other gyara and take repeated hits from things like heracross.

Here's the moveset.

Gyarados @ Leftovers

~Roar
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge
~Taunt
The standard Bulkydos should fit your needs quite nicely. 216 HP / 16 Atk / 176 Def / 100 Spe allows you to beat Garchomp after a Dragon Dance, and come in on quite a few physical hits after Intimidate. Though I'm not quite sure what the purpose of Roar is here; Gyarados is meant to be a bulky sweeper, not a wall. If you're afraid of something setting up on you, Taunt it. Dragon Dance will serve you much better in the long run.

Using Gyarados to counter itself is a crapshoot, at best. One crit from Stone Edge and you're done.
