The Art of Lorak's Oasis

And done. :D Misdreavus has always been an oddly-solid ghost to me. I had to confirm it for myself in PBR, but... very not transparent, it seems.

All this art is amazing, I must have been blind not to have seen this topic before.

That said, I have a small request. I've always thought that Shiny Flygon had blue glasses on, so would it be possible (And I will admit this will be difficult) to make something like Flygon in a lab coat with blue glasses on? Maybe with a beaker of liquid in one hand?

If it's awesome enough, I'll probably change my avatar to that, but I have no doubts that it will be fantastic if you decide to make it.

It's not the difficulty that'll be a bother, but how it'll look reduced in avatar form. I'm concerned about that reduction of quality.

On an aside, my dad thought that two of my recent pieces, Registeel and Misdreavus, were Nintendo art, from their quality. Seeing as he is an artist, I'm quite flattered to hear I've come that far...

What kind of art does your dad do? Not to take the spotlight away from you, I'm just curious. :)

He's in advertising. Lots of neat ad campaign ideas, does a lot of design of the ads (art, supervises photography, fonts used, the copy (text) to go with the ads). Some freelancing on the side.
 
Your art is great! Wish I could do that, but I'm not that creative and can only do peoples portraits :(

Can you do a Garchomp, it would be great!? :D

For some reason, I recall starting a Garchomp.. Oh! Right, the Cloyster attacking it picture.

The cannon on its back fires a highly corrosive acid, capable of melting though steel doors in under three seconds. Its nervous system is partially exposed, making it vulnerable when above the ground.

We could always load that cannon up with other things for setting up, if need be, like caltrops.

Not sure how well it'd go over as a defensive Ground/Poison, the more I think about it...

Also, I've done a few "re-interpretations" of other entries through my art style, with the expressed permission of the original artists.

I won't recommend using these as avatars without the permissions of their originators (Absolution and Darth Meanie, respectively.)
