#1) Does metalkid's damage calc take into account the defense drop caused by explosion?
#2) If I wanted to figure out how much damage a multi-target move like EQ or explosion would dop in a double battle, I would take 75% of the minimum and maximum damage metalkid outputs, correct?
anybody, I want to make sure I'm thinking straight about this before I devise my EV spreads for the Showdown.

Ok, I'm right now trying to create a new team, and since most teams have a "central strategy" they use, I'm trying to fit one into mine. The thing is, I can only really think of three central strategies: Stalling the opponent out with residual damage; complete offensive beatdown; and setting a Pokemon up for a sweep. What are some other ones? Are there any others?

I use both. I like to defend at first to see what my opponent is planning then start attacking. Sometimes I switch this around so I could have hidden walls, but they work just about the same. The weaknesses of my walls; however, can kill them easily, and that's where switching to a sweeper that has a resistance or immunity to the attack is very helpful. You could use whatever type of strategy you want as long as it works for you.

none of the ev guides have the answer...

If a pokemon already has 252 evs in HP, then they defeat a Quagsire, will they waste the evs? or will nothing happen?

Are there any threads I could post where I won't lose my treasured count? i know for a fact HERE is so not one of them.
Make a trade thread? Participate in discussions on Stark?

If they don't have 510EVs allocated, then yes if they have Pokerus.

when you set the battle to "Lvl 100" does it automatically set all the pokemon's lvl's to 100?

i know this can be done over wi-fi, but what about in the Union room or the room next to it in the pokecenter (i forget the name)?

thanks :]

255 EVs is the max so they will gain more EVs.

I know that, but will if a Muk defeats 510 wooper, he will have 252 Evs in HP.
but does hat mean he has no more evs left to distribute?

So at 252, does the certain stat continue to absorb the EVs

Edit: thanks. I usually forget to change the power items. ._.'

255. He will have 255. No to question one, no to question 2.

Wooper gives 1 EV point in HP so if a Muk defeats 510 woopers it COULD have gained 510 EVs in HP but since the maximum amount of EVs that can be gained in one stat is 255 it will gain 255 EVs in HP (you just battled 255 woopers and gained nothing). Assuming you started killing those woopers when your muk had 0 EVs total then afterwards your muk still has 255 more EV points that you can distributed between the rest of the stats.

How much is a negative stage? For example, how much attack does intimidate remove? I just realized that you can use intimidate more than twice so the formula must be different when lowering stats.

By total 100%, it's divides by 50% the first time, then 50% x 75% the second time, then 50% x 75% x 87.5% the third time and so forth. Like a growl.

If I use pursuit on a pokemon as it is switching out and my pokemon has a choice band, will I still be stuck with pursuit, or will I then be able to use a different move?

IVs

What is the best way to check the IVs of your pokemon? Is it to do a level 100 battle on wifi, copy down the stats, and then put them into the IV calculator on Serebii?
