Y'know, this is why I don't really draw anymore - because there's nothing more demoralizing than hoping for feedback and then waiting for responses on it, only to wake up the next morning and find it's buried page(s) from the top with no comments on it T_T
in my post. I was hoping for more than a single person finding it kinda funny.Well, I said I'd draw up a design, and here it is.

Anyway, it shows (somewhat randomly) how it uses the key "controversial" support moves. If you can't read the text, I'll gladly tell you what it says, just ask. :)
I don't think this could possibly compete with the talent on this board, but if it garners some interest, I'll continue work on him. Obviously, the finished product wouldn't have the "random doodles" around him.
Well.... Chrono.... Errr. The reason I didn't say anything was because I didn't think it was a really great concept for a support pokemon. Sure, it looks pretty fucking cool. But I CANNOT see that thing helping the rest of the team at all. Maybe... eating the rest of my team, sure. The gems do take away from its 'evil-esque' appearance. Overall I just think it's a good design, wrong pokemon.Heh... I just found some old 12-pack of colored pencils I could use... but I suppose at this point coloring my submission would be pointless, huh? Pointless because no one seems to like it at all...

Do you really think so? I think it looks a lot more like a Poison / Ghost or a Rock / Ghost.I really like Cerbi's … It matches the typing perfectly, as it has some ground resemblance, but not too much
Yeah, that's the same vibe I got off of it. More Ghost/Rock than poison. And the back story about rising from some inanimate object points me towards Bannette rather than poisonous soil.Do you really think so? I think it looks a lot more like a Poison / Ghost or a Rock / Ghost.
To be perfectly honest with you Chrono, I didn't know you had even submitted anything until you just mentioned it on this page. I had to go back and find it after I saw this post because of that. Otherwise I would have said something before. :PThank you for that. What was upsetting me was the lack of comments, positive or negative; why it's good or not good. That was what I tried to do at first when it was just still in pencil, when I could've changed things, but I didn't get any constructive criticism so I just made my own changes and hoped in ink it would be noticed more. At least if someone were to say why it was not-so-good for the pokemon, then I wouldn't be worrying about it and take time to see about another design.
So in the next CAP, please by all means tell me it's not good if it doesn't fit. ;)

Hmmm, on that note --- I wonder if it would be an OK idea to flip the types around should they fit better with the art the community chooses in the end ( Poison/Ground to Ground/Poison, for example ), from a flavour standpoint?
It doesn't matter competetively and it would make it so good designs that show a different balance of "Type X and Type Y" aren't voted against for that reason alone.
I wish I knew how. Hell, a Smogimp driving Garchomp crazy and playing tricks on him would make my day.We need Smogimp beating up Skarmory.
