What makes up the four quadrants is {-4,-4}, to {-4,4}, to {4,4}, to {4,-4}, to {-4,-4} again, where {0,0} is where you are standing when setting off the radar. That's 81 spots, 80 actually, since 0,0 is an impossible spot for grass to shake.

hey all! this might be the wrong place to post this but i wanted a thread that had activity ;) yeah so anyway.. thanks for the phenomenal guide on chaining! (best i've found by far!) it's shed some light on my more obscure errors.
i was chaining gastly's and i obeyed all the rules and my chain still broke with a starly poppin in :(. The 4 patch and 3 patch were in the lower left quadrant (not touching, even diagonally) and the 2,1 patches were in the upper right quadrant.
my chains always break around 15-25 :/ its becoming kinda depressing lolz. thx for any help u can give o_O
oh i forgot to add i didnt break the directly diagonal or horizontal/vertical rule either O_O
ps- Diesel and Lorak seem to be uber chainers im jealous :P. what do u do when a patch falls on the quadrant line?

Lorak - Well, both. I'm putting the Slowkings (Quiet) in Heal Balls. Quick Balls seem a little light for the Slowbro sprite, I'm still considering them though.
Flurries - Dive balls sound intriguing, I'm going to check them out now...

Bring a Relaxed Sychronizer too! Use quiet Synchronizer for a little, then switch to relaxed! (I like Slowbro)
Davy - Yes sir. I'm mostly sticking to Relaxed. I like Slowking better but his shiny sprite is pretty weak. Slowbro's on the other hand made me shit when I first saw it.
And wow @ Dive Balls!!! These things are beautiful. I wish I knew about the before. I might use them for Slowbro, not sure still. I'll definitely be using them for Houndoom and others though. I wish something had animations so I could see what each pokemon looked like coming out of each ball. I'm liking the idea of Luxury for Slowbro also. So many choices.
