It's just my opinion. I supported it with my reasoning behind it. I wasn't yelling at anyone or making an official decree. I was talking and discussing. I wasn't being hostile. And you come along and just act like a jack ass.

This project is Create-A-Pokemon. I personally take that at face value. Let's create a Pokemon. That should be the only variable as far as I'm concerned. Not an attack. Not an ability. Not an item. I feel like we should play with the parts that Gamefreak has in the game and only those parts, and make a competitive, interesting new creature out of them.
Beyond that, by keeping to that, it keeps this as new player friendly as possible. Explaining a new Pokemon is one thing. "He's a Bug/Ice sweeper type." Having to continue that and say "He's a Bug/Ice sweeper type of Pokemon with this awesome new ability that means that he's immune to rock type damage on the switch in" is a whole 'nother thing. There's a lot bigger chance of someone saying "F this, that's dumb, all you guys are dumb" the more stuff we make stuff up.
If this was Create-A-Metagame, then I'd agree with you. I wouldn't like the purpose as much, but I'd agree with you. But we're inserting new Pokemon with the intent of modifying the metagame piece by piece. I think it should just stick with the Pokemon, and let them do the work.

I would have picked Poison Point for my second vote, but I honestly thing that unlike Flame Body or Static, Poison Point would just be a hindrance, because as far as statuses go, regular poison is quite bad, and just makes things like Heracross much more dangerous.
I'm going to put in raspberries , but call it a chocolate cheesecake, even though it's a chocolate raspberry cheesecake (food reference #2 in the project and counting).
That makes no sense. If you change an existing pokemon's spread, it will have nothing to do with a new pokemon's spread. Thats like saying I'm going to put mayo on a spicy chicken sandwich to see how its going to taste on a hamburger. The two are completely unrelated. I'm hungry.
Just because that it's a utility Pokémon doesn't mean that every single aspect of it has to be completely devoted to utility, people.Persistant and Unaware.
Both are good for support, obviously.
A small percent could be focused on Sweeping via Special or Physical? I think many utility driven Pokemon have one or two set focusing on sweeping.What else would you have it devoted to?

I'm just saying, it's really not a bad thing (on the contrary, I think it's a good thing) to at least give this the option of doing something other than pure utility. Of course that's what it's going to be best at; it's a utility Pokémon! But a Pokémon that can do one thing really well and another thing pretty well is a lot more fun than a Pokémon that can only do one thing. Ever. And doing anything else with it would be a terrible idea. That's why Pokémon like Shuckle and Blissey take very little creativity to make.What else would you have it devoted to?
