I was wondering...if I Skill Swap Castform's Forecast ability to another pokemon when weather is in effect, will it change the receiving pokemon's type?

Scenario 1, if Castform uses Rain Dance and then Blissey Skill Swaps, will Blissey's type now be Water?

Scenario 2, if Castform does not change the weather and Dusknoir Skill Swaps, will it be the normal type?

Just looking for some clarification here before I start looking into possible strategies for competitive play.
yeah, I have also been wondering about that...

Do RNG's differ for each game card?
iirc the RNG is affected by your Trainer ID...

Toxic doesn't lower speed. It's only residual damage but the damage increases the longer you stay in.
Thanks!! Ok, but this guy is crying how my Arcanine outsped his Scizor. His scizor was badly poisoned, My arcanine had life orb, and his supposedly had Scarf, how did I outspeed him??
It has 229 Speed at lv 100 with Choice Scarf.
Mines 125 Speed at lv 41 with life orb.

Its impossible for his scizor to be poisoned its a steel type

bolded the key word.

hes probably lying about it to have an excuse for why he left in his scizor against an arcanine.

EDIT: Notorious, there are actually two ways for steels to be poisoned.
1:Twineedle, a bug type move that has 20% chance of poison, and since its bug type, it affects steels.
2:Delcatty with the normalize ability, which turns all moves it knows into a normal type move, and delcatty learns toxic, which becomes a normal type move, which means it affects steel types.

just thought id point these out

EDIT 2.0: jbozz1217, arcanine learns extremespeed at level 39. so it didnt have to be from breeding.

Are you sure he wasn't paralyzed, not poisoned? Were there any type of stat changes? Did you use Extremespeed? I don't even think Arcanine learns that until later anyway... [edit] well, you could breed to get Extremespeed at an early level... IIRC, if both parents have a level-up move of the egg, the hatched Pokemon will have that/those level up move(s).

ok you got me except twineedle dosent iflict toxic effects unless i recall wrong so theres only one way he could have been poisioned like that

No, Steel types are immune to poison, period. Twinneedle being able to poison Steels was removed by Advance.

It was intoxinated from toxic spikes. He really did have scarf. Check his team after. I used flare blitz not extreme speed. It does have extremespeed though.

well tspikes cant poison scizor, and you shouldent have outsped him unless hes holding macho brace or that other item which i forgot.

so I was right joy for me, lol.

Well he was poisoned Idk how else he could'ave been since toxic spices are the only moves i have that can poison someone, and I did outspeed him. Thats really wierd!

So, therefore there's no way Scizor could be poisoned...
Does not matter as it does not affect your speed. So I suspect hacking.

Definatly hacking and looks like someone didnt do a very good job of it lol.

Forecast only affects Castform. Blissey won't change types and Castform will be stuck in whatever shape he's in until you give forecast back to him (at which point he'll promptly transform.)

Flash fire only makes your fire attacks 1.5x it's regular power. This is equivelant to a +1 boost. This does not affect speed.
Anyway, the only way to actually check the Legitness of Scizor, would be to run it through a stat calculator, and just checking for signs of hacking because this sounds like hacking... real shitty hacking. Why the fuck would you WANT a steel type to be poisoned? That's like removing Heatran's fire resist... it's bad.

And with a level difference of 59... what the fuck kind of battle is this?
I'm just loling at this situation.
