Neat little Pixie I've been testing to surprisingly effective results. Calm Mind is mentioned in the other options, but I decided to really give it a shot when I saw something that surprised me: Uxie was faster than Mesprit. I never realized this, as in my mind I always kind of stereotyped Uxie to be the "slow tank" of the three. With pretty decent Speed and high Defenses, I figured Uxie was a natural choice for a typical "Screen + Double Boost" strategy (Reflect + Calm Mind or Light Screen + Bulk Up)

[SET COMMENTS]

This set takes advantage of Uxie's phenomenal mixed defenses and decent Speed to simultaneously support the team and sweep the opposition. Psychic and Thunderbolt has good coverage in OU, as only Celebi, Magnezone, Cacturne, Steelix and Exeggutor resist the combination, and only the first two are OU. Reflect allows Uxie to support the team by reducing incoming physical attack damage by half. Reflect also gives Uxie an out against Pokemon like Tyranitar or Weavile, who don't take significant damage from the main attacks and can potentially deal massive damage with Crunch or Pursuit. If Reflect is not desired, it can be replaced with Yawn, to inflict the Sleep status on Uxie's incoming counters, or Hidden Power Fighting, to let Uxie handle Tyranitar, Weavile, Magnezone and Heatran.

Due to Reflect, this set works especially well in combination with other Pokemon that can boost their stats and handle common Uxie switch-ins, like Choiced Heracross or Choiced Band Tyranitar. Some potential combination Pokemon include Calm Mind Suicune, Curse Snorlax, Swords Dance Heracross, or Dragon Dance Dragonite. Whatever Uxie cannot sweep with Calm Mind and Psychic or Thunderbolt can usually be dealt with by supporting one or two other stat buffers with Reflect, making this set both a viable individual and team Pokemon.

The EVs are specifically designed to reach certain goals. 351 HP and 333 Defense allow Uxie to never be OHKOed by an Adamant Choice Scarf Heracross; 351 HP and 298 Special Defense allow Uxie to never be OHKOed by a Modest Life Orb Gengar; 280 Speed allows Uxie to outspeed common threats like Choice Band Heracross and Swords Dance Lucario (both Adamant); 190 Special Attack allows Uxie to OHKO 4 HP / 0 SpD Heracross after one Calm Mind and Stealth Rock damage on average.

Neat set.

You might want to say what attacks the EVs allow you to survive, not just the pokemon even though it's pretty obvious, it may not be for everyone.

Hidden Power Fighting may want a mention over Thunderbolt as it hurts common switch ins like Tyranitar and Weavile real hard after some calm minds. It also hurts Magnezone if that's a priority.

This is actually a very good set although I would add yawn in as an option next to reflect. I used this set a lot and yawn was always more helpful then Reflect, just because it would only be useful for Tyranitar (Who I ran HP Fighting for anyway :/). Yawn helps take out the counters like Magnezone who are pretty surprised when you outpace them as they try to set up substitute.

As I mentioned earlier HP Fighting is actually pretty good on this set and should probably be mentioned.

Switch-ins.

small nitpick.

and as KD said, consider yawn as a second option, as it really helps to shut down potential counters as well as cause switches to rack up SR damage.

I've actually used a pretty similar set for a while (in fact, I assumed it was already in the analysis).

Agreeing with KD24 that Yawn should be mentioned, but I've found Reflect more useful. I kinda disagree about running Psychic / HP Fighting because I have a problem with the entire set being walled absolutely by Spiritomb (immune to both attacks). I guess it can be mentioned but it would be awful to have a +6 SpA Uxie and then Spiritomb switches in. The set should either be Psychic / Thunderbolt or Shadow Ball / HP Fighting. The ladder is probably superior though because of a STAB option.

Edit: As a side note, it sucks that this thing loses to Blissey.

You're JUST rounding down Leftovers recovery with those EVs, I recommend 4 more EVs to round it up.

Looks fine, although shouldn't Resttalk be an option? It is, afterall, Uxie's only way to heal off things that would hinder it, such as having low health with 'mediocre' speed, as well as status (Speed and tanking could severely hinder its potential to sweep).

I didn't really like the usage of '+' and '/' etc. as it could easily be substituted in by words. Just me though!

Due to Reflect, this set works especially well in combination with other Pokemon that can boost their stats and handle common Uxie switch-ins, like Choiced Heracross and Tyranitar (removed 'or Gengar' - Reflect doesn't help it against Gengar). Common examples include Calm Mind Suicune, Curse Snorlax, Swords Dance Heracross, or Dragon Dance Dragonite. Blue - huh? Common examples of what exactly? Seeing as you discussed how Reflect benefits Uxie, as well as its common switch-in in the sentence before it, it is slightly unclear. If it is Reflect being beneficial, I suggest taking Calm Mind Suicune out, as it also suggests that Reflect helps Uxie against it. Otherwise, I would rephrase it to 'Other common examples of switch-in that Reflect helps Uxie out against is........' or something similar.

-damage calcs paragraph snip-

For the damage calculations against Uxie, you should state whether it is with or without Reflect. I, myself, don't even know!!

This post is for Aldaron's and Jrrrrrrr's purposes ...

Hold onto this - it isn't really covered on the site.
