2. Digimon rumble arena 2
1. Super mario bros 2

On my shitty old intellivision in my basement, I used to play Tron deadly discs. That's a great game.

I remember this old game for SNES I think it was where you played as a kid and you had to save the neighbourhood by killing Zombies with Water Bombs, etc, and one level you had to kill a giant baby in a shopping mall, but I can't remember what It's called for the life of me.

It was so awesome.

Edit: Also, I had this game for Game Boy that involved 2 spaceships with a destructable/moving stage in between them and they had to move left and right and take pot shots at each other. Again, I forget the name, so if someone could help me with the names, that would be appreciated.

I always liked the Megaman Battle Network Series, but never played Star Force.

I'm also one of those weirdos who still plays pokemon.

Monster Rancher 2, Monster Rancher 3, Monster Rancher 4.
Not many people know it, but it's still one of my favorite series.

zombies ate my neighbors

I had a game for my NES called "Rescue: Embassy Mission". It was the shit. First, you had to sneak along the open streets and dodge spotlights/getting shot by hopping behind shit, crawling on the ground or ducking into doorways. Then you could situate a sniper and pick off guys in the building. Then you could take a guy from the roof and repel down and bust in through a window and tear the place up.

Fucking amazing. When I found a rom of it, I was ecstatic.

I also had a game for Sega called Mystical Fighter. It was like Streets of Rage where you beat guys up and could see their health bars, but it was also like Golden Axe because you could pick up scrolls and unleash wicked magic. So much fucking fun.

NiGHTS is actually pretty strange I guess, and of course Mischief Makers is the greatest weird game ever. DINOSAUR TYCOON was pretty great. Gizmos and Gadgets was the best weird educational game. Also, Batman Forever for the Saturn lol

Does the Armored Core series count?
Culdcept and Culdcept Saga as well.
Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 are/were awesome.

Hell anything on the Game Gear especially:
Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya
Tails' Adventure
Defenders of Oasis

Oh and who can forget the X:Com series? UFO Defense, Terror from the Deep, and Apocalypse (I know there are others out there but these are the only ones I've played).

Aaah Nostalgia, it is a good thing.

Ah, people already said some of the series I was going to...
The Disgaea series, Cave Story, and the Monster Rancher series are all awesome. I don't know if some of these games count as well, but:

Threads of Fate
La Pucelle Tactics
Rhapsody (Which I believe is getting a DS port later this year...)
The PaRappa series (yes, Um Jammer Lammy too)
Dungeon Dice Monsters (a Yu-Gi-Oh spin off that wasn't too bad)
The Ecco series (some pretty bad games, but for the most part they were fun)
EDIT: Ah, I almost forgot...
BRAVE FENCER MUSASHI (The original game only, the sequel was a huge disappointment)
EDIT2: ONE MORE!
No One Can Stop Mr. Domino!

Jeff Gordon XS Racing for GBC was the SHIT.

You played as a future version of Jeff Gordon and raced all these super high-tech cars around tracks with Evel Knievel-sized jumps &c.

Nobody played Sacrifice for PC either, which is too bad because the gameplay was tight, the story was multi-branched and generally absurd, and the voice acting was just...well, imagine TIM FUCKING CURRY voicing some sort of primal god and delivering lines riddled with words like "Pyromatic Dynamo".

Awesome games.

wicked 18 (snes golf game with crazy courses)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6rNBubRxyE (check out 4:40, it was always hilarious to play)

firestiker (think a adventure type air hockey)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxAfH5tYCqE (the reviewer is an idiot so dont pay attention to him. theres a multiplayer mode here too which is pretty fun)

metal warriors (snes action game, with great multiplayer mode again!)
single player gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZTJ1guQwMo
multiplayer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1wtrFBfRSo&feature=related

This just reminded me of BLAST CORPS for the N64. A nuclear warhead truck shaped like dynamite was on a collision course with the rest of the world, and you and your demolition team of tonka trucks, go-karts, and giant robots had to destroy everything in it's path to make sure the nuclear holocaust isn't due to a fender-bender.

holy shit this game rocked.

Only thing I remembered about that was the robot suit shooting missiles and that USA hotrod.... :pirate:
