Banning Garchomp will be one if the biggest changes ever made in the D/P metagame. But still the announcement how to participate in this vote is somewhere in a topic on page 2 or 3

Knowing how important this vote will be most normal people(or at least i do) think this will be said in an announcement like this one.

It's not a coincidence that these are the same exact kinds of people we don't want weighing in on this issue. If you don't care enough to meet the requirements until 4-5 days before the voting occurs, why should we expect to believe that you care enough about improving competitive pokemon? Not reading my numerous threads about this is no excuse for not knowing.
 
Alright, well, Jumpman has convinced me. I'm going to ladder and see if I can make it in time to vote. See you guys on the battlefield.

Same with me. I only managed to connect Smogon once last week (I think), and then it froze when I tried to make a team with Rhyperior. I can't use it, yet I can add any other pokémon to my team, even lol Rhydon. Strange...

Anyway, I still have a last chance. Let's see if I can finally get into the voting list.
 
I think the number is a bit low (Doesn't the PR forum itself have more members?), but 1650 seems more feasible than I thought. Once I ironed out a team, I quickly got to right around that rating on Suspect with an alt. Now I "just" need to lower my deviation about 30 more, then start my Standard attempt.

Now is DEFINITELY not the time for me to have trouble connecting to Shoddybattle. It takes me upwards of 5 minutes to connect, and then I disconnect immediately. :(

I guess this gives me time to write up my argument.
 
Lol great, I uninstalled Java (instead of Shoddy only), and now, I can't re-install it. My PC doesn't want me to vote against Garchomp, or so it seems.

I can't handle playing Standard Ladder. Why the hell should I play a game if it's not even fun... if I wanted to do something that I didn't want to do I would study or something.
 
I mean, seriously, it's NOT fun to have to see the same pokemon over and over in a different combination, and you are basically forced to use them as well to win. To make matters worse, I pretty much have to play this insanely boring game if I want to have a chance at voting.

I mean, every game I see bronzong, gyarados garchomp, deoxys-e, lucario and gengar. I get excited when I see something like Salamence or Heatran appear on my screen.

The only semi-unique pokemon I am using is Mismagius, and it's sucking hardcore... too much sandstorm and stuff to do anything with it.

Creativity ftw. Nuff said. Suspect ladder shall be the demise of creativity these days.
 
well explosion bronzong can switch in garchomp and kill it (thats the reason why im using bronzong anyway) xD

I hope my deviation wont increase too much in the 5 days..

oh and expected much more people being able to vote

Give it a few months and you'll be sick of salamence and heatran too.
 
I already know Salamence and Heatran are overused... it's just amazing that something as OU as those guys are a rarity in the standard ladder. I used to get tired of seeing them but now they are like fresh faces to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the OU metagame got even smaller. I'm thinking 40 pokes this time.
 
voting will be yes or no... the part of the purpose of qualification requirements was so that we wouldn't have to sift through pages upon pages of "reasoned arguments".
 
aw man, I already wrote it up. Why have people been telling me you needed reasoning alongside your vote?_?

Oh well, then I will just place my vote.

Like KD24 I also thought that a brilliant argument would be needed, or at the very least a detailed description on your experiences on both the ladders.


Glad to know that this, and most likely all future votes will be a simple yes/no. I will keep that in mind on the next vote when I will actual bother playing on the ladders.
 
Oh wow I actually made it... Even though I haven't been on the smogon server in like a week or less maybe. I might go back on to buffer my record.

If you could PM it to me as well, I would really appreciate it. I don't have a solid opinion on Garchomp, I'm just interested in reading up on it. I'm not close to reaching the voting requirements anyway.
