The result of a boring lecture!

When the teacher is lecturing you, and you're so bored you could almost fall asleep, what else to do besides make a team?

Introduction
I really wanted this team to succeed in the normal ladder. Since we may not have Garchomp much longer, I had to replace him with another physical sweeper. I wanted to test that and the rest of my team out. I had had many problems against Salamence (especially BulkyMence) in the past, so I wanted to revolve around countering that. This is the result of that team. (And the lecture).

gengar.png

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power [Ice]

This Gengar has swept many, many teams. With its amazing type coverage, it hits everything in the game for neutral with only 2 moves. The other two moves are pretty much filler. Hidden Power Ice takes care of my Bulkymence problem, easily OHKO'ing any Bulky or DD set. Thunderbolt hits Gyarados hard.

infernape.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
Nature: Naive
Ability: Blaze
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/232 Speed/24 Attack
Moves:
Flamethrower
Close Combat
ThunderPunch
Hidden Power [Ice]

This is a pretty standard Mixape. Thunderpunch over Grass Knot simply because I already have Swampert coverage on this team. Flamethrower deals plenty of damage with STAB, especially when Blaze is activated. Close Combat OHKO's Max HP/Def Blissey, and Hidden Power Ice takes care of Garchomp/Salamence/Flygon/Dragonite.

dugtrio.png

Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Arena Trap
EV Spread: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Sucker Punch
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Stone Edge

Dugtrio is replacing Weavile for the moment. This has the ability to trap and KO things like LOtran and Yachechomp. Aerial Ace can OHKO Heracross, Rock Slice can kill most fliers (and possibly get a flinch too!), Earthquake deals loads of damage with STAB, and Sucker Punch is for the Choice users.

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Grass Knot
Hidden Power [Ice]

This is a recent addition to my team. Jirachi can take hits very well, and can deliver them too. The only way this Jirachi has ever died is because of crit hax. Psychic can hit opposing Gengars hard, and pretty much anything else. Thunderbolt can OHKO Gyarados, Grass Knot OHKO's Swampert, and Hidden Power Ice hits Dragons and Fliers.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Natural Cure
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Defense/6 Special Attack
Moves:
Seismic Toss
Softboiled
Thunder Wave
Ice Beam

This is a pretty standard Blissey. Thunder Wave was chosen over Aromatherapy because of the necessity to cripple things like Gengar. Seismic Toss can help me wear down my opponents, Softboiled is obvious recovery, and Ice Beam is simply for the fact that I don't get walled by Ghosts.

salamence.png

Salamence @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Intimidate
EV Spread: 252 HP/176 Defense/82 Speed
Moves:
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Roost

Credit to Aldaron for this amazing set. This has ripped through many teams while walling them in the process. I Dragon Dance while taking minimum damage from puny things like a Lucario Extremespeed, I roost off the damage, then proceed to sweep. Dragon Claw + Earthquake is only resisted by Skarmory and Bronzong, which can help. A lot.

Well, there you have it. Thanks for reading. Please help!

I suggest putting another wall in there, as Blissey is the only one besides bulkymence, who can't take ice. Maybe a Vaporeon since he can take Surfs coming at Infernape.

I can't tell if this is meant to be an offensive team or not...

Salamance and Jirachi can provide most of your walling needs, but that is usually not enought to handle the physical attacks of this metagame...

Dugtrio might want to be Jolly to outspeed some more stuff IMO.

WOOT you finally learned from me remember when i told you that like 2000 times :P Anyway, hes right. You'll outspeed Starmie, Infernape, Azelf, Gengar and Scarf TTars. As he OHKO's all of the mentioned pokemons except for Starmie if its using a defensive spread or reflect. If you are using Jolly, use Stone Edge because you'll need that extra power.

I think you'll also could get problems when blissey is dead, as it is your most reliable Special Wall. If she's gone, so are you. Gyarados might Screw this team after it has got 2 DD's, and 1 DD if its not the BulkyGyara. As you dont have a Reliable counter to it. Waterfall screws Blissey and Jirachi, and Stone Edge kills Salamence. Get a counter for it, Celebi should do.

If you are using Celebi, you might wanna use a ScarfCelebi. I've seen people using them alot, as they suprise so many people including me, because we people will think they are Walls.

I hope i helped :D

He did and it's finished, so he came up with this one when he was bored :\ BTW, have you tested it?

Interesting. Can't get hit with Fake out, allowing him to effectively use his sash besisdes SR neglect. I love the coverage here too.

Two Hp ice? Hmm. I don't really think that you should run Flamethrower on account that you have Flare Blitz, which can deal some monstrous damage. Infernape doesn't last more than 5 turns, and even though the LO and Blitz damage will stack, you'll be fine.

dugtrio.png

Dugtrio @ Choice Band

Ability: Arena Trap
EV Spread: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP

Sucker Punch

Have you seen the specialtrio yet? Go to pokemon analysis and check him out. He really is a gem, and a refreshing twist to the old and broken physcial Dugtrio.

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Grass Knot
Hidden Power [Ice]

CMJirachi is a way better alternative here. This set covers quite well, although I think that the CM set will be better for this team.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Natural Cure
EV Spread: 252 HP/252 Defense/6 Special Attack
Moves:
Seismic Toss
Softboiled
Thunder Wave
Ice Beam

This is a pretty standard Blissey. Thunder Wave was chosen over Aromatherapy because of the necessity to cripple things like Gengar. Seismic Toss can help me wear down my opponents, Softboiled is obvious recovery, and Ice Beam is simply for the fact that I don't get walled by Ghosts.

Nice set, maybe run Aromatherapy since your sweepers will go on lockdown after a TWave. I would suggest it over Ice beam, as you already have two pokemon to cover dragons.

salamence.png

Salamence @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Intimidate
EV Spread: 252 HP/176 Defense/82 Speed
Moves:
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Roost

Credit to Aldaron for this amazing set. This has ripped through many teams while walling them in the process. I Dragon Dance while taking minimum damage from puny things like a Lucario Extremespeed, I roost off the damage, then proceed to sweep. Dragon Claw + Earthquake is only resisted by Skarmory and Bronzong, which can help. A lot.

Nice set. I have seen it used in success, and it works well since you don't have a real wall besides Bliss.

Well, there you have it. Thanks for reading. Please help!

Great team. Hope I helped.

Is this team OU or Suspect? If it's standard OU, then Garchomp and Deoxys-e
will trample you like a herd of elephants. I suggest a metagross with ice punch and pursuit/bulletpunch to take care of this problem.

I use a different BulkyMence set, and it is VERY successful.
This is from an RMT I had a few months back:

Salamence @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 198 HP/160 SpD/152 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw

Okay, okay. Hear me out on this one. I know seems odd, but listen here. This is my version of the "BulkyMence." Now, I gave it SpecialDefense EVs for Ice Beam suport, and I don't need Defensive EVs because of what Intimidate can do. After one DD, I rerach 410 speed, and 553 attack. Couple that with instant recovery, and a temporary loss of x4 ice weak(to give it x2), this thing is a bulky sweeper. Earthquake and Dragon Claw for coverage.
It was here actually:

I'm not really great at this yet, but on Jirachi, wouldn't it be more beneficial to run Charge Beam on him? The 70% chance of upping your special attack would be doubld by Serene Grace... making it 140% but I understand that the power is lacking until it gets boosted. Just a thought from a lurking member.

Well, that does sound good.

But if I take darkartisans advice and replace Jirachi with a CMJirachi, I won't need Charge Beam, since I'll be boosting my SpAtk anyway.

But that's still a good idea though. Thanks. :naughty:

If you are making a CM Jirachi I got one. Bold 252 defense 252 hp. CM T-Bolt Sub and Psychic. Your subs are very hard to beat and it can beat blissey 1 on 1

Deoxys-e gets OHKOd by Sucker Punch and Garchomp will die if he's stuck on outrage or something because of all of the HP Ices here. I think it's done if you havn't lost o.o

omg I hate it when people don't know what they're talking about...anyways, I have used a team with CMJirachi, and have won at least 10 games out of 60 because of it (which is alot!) The problem is you better have a Ttar counter, because he cannot scratch Ttar.

Dugtrio kills deo, jirachi can swap in on deo, blissey can also to an extent. Thats nomrally enough.

Very Nice team indeed a little duggie week late game but overall good.

Also, may I ask where you got those Pictures for your pokemon from
